Post your tumblr

So I took a look at the MeWe. It looks good from the outside. I can't see what it looks like from the inside without setting up my own page. Does it have a blog-style interface, like Tumblr or Wordpress? or it more like a Facebook interface?

It's intended to be a replacement for Facebook. Good site, but not really blog-like.

Most of tumblr users I follow have switched to MeWe. Seems to a mass migration to make a statement. Tumblr -> MeWe is analogous to MySpace -> Facebook, with the exception MeWe doesn't snipe your personal data. Same for duckduckgo.

Thank you, I'll have to check that out. My Tumblr was very similar to here as far as the photos I've posted. I liked having a back up site to go to. I got locked out of my original ID and it took about a day to get the new ID approved. So that's why I'd like a back up in case any problems last longer than that.

So now National Geographic is more "pornographic" than Tumblr. Well, they asked for it...see ya, Tumblr.

Pretty much

You and I regard it similarly. I can understand banning pubic zones ... but a woman’s breasts? Hugely restrictive IMO.

Agreed

It's intended to be a replacement for Facebook. Good site, but not really blog-like.

Helpful to know

Within less than 10 minutes of the following photos being posted on my Tumblr page as a test, they were flagged:

https://i.imgur.com/VZ7cDvV.jpg

https://i.imgur.com/Tv3T7aC.jpg

https://i.imgur.com/mLCjXJX.jpg

I posted them along with the following text:

"No nipple. Wonder if it will still be flagged? Also is it just the protruding parts of female presenting nipples which are banned? Or the areolas included in the ban too? Colored outside the lines of the censored pasties to be on the safe side."

File names were censorship, not nipple or breast.

I appealed it for review. I'm not showing any nipple, so in theory, it shouldn't be flagged. Either the flagging process is overzealous or they don't like me criticizing the "female presenting nipple" ban.

If anyone is savvy and up-to-date on the workings of tumblr? I would so much appreciate some feedback. I have seen numerous postings about various options where it might be possible to migrate one's images and other posts to alternative sites that might provide a more open-minded and censor-free forum. However (so far as I know) in order to move to any other site or even to store one's info for future use on another site, one first has to download that data from tumblr.

I have tried twice to do this. In the first case, it took 3 days for the download to prepare; in the second case, 4 days (my tumblr is not particularly big. relative to others). In both cases, once downloaded, Windows told me the zip file was "invalid" (corrupt, I assume). Perhaps I am paranoid, but I begin to doubt this it an accident.

does anyone have information? Am I doing something wrong in trying to extract this file? Is there some other way to go about this? I keep searching for some software that will extract the data from my tumblr account, but my searches have come up zero.

Please disregard the issue of the zip file from tumblr. I downloaded a new Zip program and it extracted the files with no issue.

Adios, Tumblr. I admire your protest but why waste your time...show those beautiful breasts on a more freewheeling platform. :)

I had a tumblr blog on the go but I just recently deleted it due to the impending ban on adult orientated stuff on the 17th. As an alternative I started a thread on here the other day as a place to put my pictures in one place and be a blog of sorts but suddenly it was deleted with no explanation. Hey ho!

Weird shit like that happens all the time here. If it's a moderator doing it, in my experience, the posts will go away but the thread will say "thread closed." If not (I think) that means website weirdness, not something that's been done intentionally. Of course, it any of your pics violate Lit's TOUs, then who knows? It used to be we could just post a link here to where the pic existed on Tumblr— but now more of that, as Tumblr goes Puritan.

These people are trying to set up a new uncensored hosting site. Stay tuned. . .

It looks as if their attempt failed

I don't post porn on my Tumblr, and it doesn't break my heart that Tumblr will be porn-free. But now they're flagging posts that have nothing to do with porn as "adult content." One of my posts from last night got flagged for no fucking reason. What, so now I have to be on guard for the Tumblr police, because some weak fuck might get offended by something that I post. What a fucking joke. I shouldn't complain because it's free, but it's still annoying as shit!

I had one flagged of a nude tattooed women with a message about self image. So there was a button for an appeal. I clicked and a few days later they reversed the decision and lift it on my Tumblr.

That's just a pain in the ass thing to do.

This is another one of my posts that got flagged. I guess the idea that women might protect themselves from a predator or stand up for themselves could be offensive to someone.

Well, their page has been deleted. They were also maintaining a twitter thing just in case that happened. No updates there but I will keep an eye out.

The thing is, of course, that what constitutes "porn" is completely in the eye of the beholder. Or as some wit said once, "If I like it, it's erotica. If I don't, it's porn." There is simply no allowance for art in their new guidelines. Naked is porn. Period. Bare from the waist up is also porn, it you're a woman.

Meanwhile, in the purge that began two weeks ago—ahead of their stated deadline— I've had all sorts of things flagged. My posts have all been sort of cross-sectional—ranging from what is undeniably art, to what is raw and gritty sexual, to stuff that doesn't even include human beings let alone naked ones. Even among the explicitly sexual, almost none of it is what I would call porn, which is to say commercial exploitation of sex. The few posts that might meet that definition were all of the vintage variety. My point being that the posts of mine that have been flagged have run this same cross-section, including images without any human bodies. No rhyme or reason. Some of the most explicit images have been left unflagged.

H. L. Menckin described Puritanism as "the haunting conviction that somebody, somewhere, is having fun."

I was with you till you got to the part about puritanism. Not sure what that has to do with the whole discussion.

********** seems to be the place.... my dirty kinky mind works as Wismale50 there.

I guess this is really happening...

Checked several of my favorite erotic Tumblr sites just now, and most of them came back with this:

A couple showed several (vanilla) images, but had this in several places:

:(

If anyone finds a good alternative please, please pass it on.

This the alternative presently being offered: https://2mblr.com/

I haven't attempted it myself yet, so no testimony (yet) on my part. But I am going to give it a shot.

Note: so far I have not been successful registering. Perhaps they are overloaded right now. If anyone else has success please let me know, along with any clues.

Sucks

Tumblr sucks now.

I hope Tumblr completely goes to shit like MySpace did. I was able to download my blog content, both of them. The original Skyfallred007 was very large and my second one, Skyfallred007-1 wasn’t as large, they both downloaded with success.
Thankfully I saved all the content I had collected.

Fuck Tumblr🖕🏾🍆🤢🤮💩💩

I was too. Now, what to do with it.... Nice to look at it but I'd rather share it— and see what others are sharing.
