Why am I so often called "Lauren" yet Manu is always "Manu"?
Just once, I'd like someone to screw up his name and not mine.
I think it's funny how you were only concerned about your name, and missed where Laural and Manny(see I screwed up his name, not yours) were both wearing bikinis...

Manu is a short, unusual name and there's nothing I can think of quickly that's smiliar; very memorable for that reason.
Laurel and Lauren are just about identical, but Lauren is probably just a little more common. There's no hope people will keep it straight.
But go by Laru and you'll be fine...

In some Polynesian languages, 'manu' means 'bird'. It is also a name often given to people of high status. So, perhaps a little more respect when talking about you-know-who in future, girls and boys.
