And Harold got shot in the eye...

One of Stanley Holloway's monologues, I think... I used to know the whole thing by heart (I didn't get out much as a child...), but I can only recall fragments now. :(

Now Albert had heard about Lions, How they was ferocious and wild,
To see Wallace lying so peaceful, Well, it didn't seem right to the child.

You could tell that the Lion didn't like it,
for giving a kind of a roll
'E pulled Albert in with 'im,
and swallowed the little lad whole.
