I have not read the Gor series, so cum grano salis:

I have heard that the earlier books are not bad Conanesque fantasy, but later books get very repetitive, and the male-female philosophy is ridiculous. (50 Shades of Gray of the 1970s?) I'm told that Houseplants of Gor is a great parody.
