So I made the mistake of uploading the same chapter twice in my series.

I reuploaded the edit, on the 10th of May.

Today is the 12th, the edit has disappeared from the queue, but no edits have been made.

I have contacted Lit about this 5 times through the day from early this morning and have received nothing back.

I have reuploaded the edits again, but is that going to help?

I don't want them getting ignored again

Edits generally take longer to go through than new stories. They are lower priority. Fourty eight hours was not long enough; think more like a week.

Your repeated attempts to contact them and make other changes may well have confused the whole issue.

How are you contacting Lit? If it's by any means other than PM, then it probably won't work.

Given the mistake you described, I probably would have tried contacting Laurel first so she knew the problem. She can sometimes expedite things.

Just chill. 48 hours is not enough, especially if you're uploading word documents. I know it sais 48 hours somewhere on the site, but it's not true.

Patience is a virtue.

WTF am I talking about? Virtue? On a porn site?

My bad.

Sorry.

I'll just slink out the back door now.

Check back in a week. If no action, it's time to PM Laurel.

By the way, no one here can do anything about the delays. The worst delay I've seen was aroudish 3 weeks, if it helps.

Y'all misunderstood. Not 48 hours from the time of submission. 48 hours from the time the edit was processed through the queue. The problem is the delay between processing and visibility.

EDIT: I misread it as well LOL Fixing my reply....

To the OP, I assume you're talking about "Urban Oddballs". I just checked, and I'm still seeing the duplicated chapter as well.

You need to wait up to 48 hours from the time the edited submission vanishes for the changes to appear on the public side of the site. Although, in my experience, the changes have never taken much longer than 24 hours to appear.

Keep checking, and if you see the changes begin to appear, I would remove the second edit submission from the queue by deleting it.

Once it's been a full 48 hours since the edited submission vanished, if the changes haven't appeared, I would contact Laurel via PM and explain to her what happened. Let her know you have another "edit" submission in the queue if it reaches that point.

Okay I will thank you all for the help!

You also might want to put a note on the submission about what happened and that the edit up are submitting is to correct that mistake.

Laurel does read any notes on a submission.

Submissions are currently a bit backlogged too, which could be spinning out edits as well--my most recent stories didn't post in two days, when they usually do.
