I'm not sure what forum to put this in, but this one seems the closest.

The FAQs on story writing say that no HTML links can appear in the story. Does anyone know if other HTML codes can appear? Specifically, is it okay to <blockquote> to set off a letter inside a story?

Yes, you can use <blockquote>; I've used it myself. You can also use the tags for bold <b></b>, italics <i></i>, and underline <u></u>. Also to center text <center></center>. I'm not sure you'd want to do more than that, though. With stories on Lit, the simpler the format the better.

Thanks, PennLady. I'm not going to go crazy, just some indenting to set off the letter.

Yeah, no worries. I've used blockquote myself and occasionally use italics. When you do your preview make sure you've put in your </ closer or you'll end up with the whole story formatted to the unclosed tag.

Cheers.
