Adopt-a-story program

I haven't attempted to add to anything since I am probably persona non grata, but I continue to find stories with "Locked" threads that haven't (it seems) been touched in years. Do we have to put "putting stories up for adoption" up for adoption/employ?

I'm not having this argument over three threads but maybe things have been done you've just not seen them. Maybe those responsible are just busy.

See this.

This is me walking away from this obvious attempt at starting up another argument.

Walking away from what you claim is me trying to start another argument... Waiting enough time so people can forget it, at which time you will start it yourself.

Back on-topic, here are some I've noticed with long-locked threads:

The Party by JagFarlane [Last "Modified" 11/6/10]

Shady's Choose Your Own Adventure by Shady [12/8/10]

Fun Next Door by FoxLegend [12/24/10]

A Test With Jill by Minnesota6971 [1/29/11]

A gift for Jackson Jones by dreamlover2 [2/7/11]

Alpha Virtual Sex by waynewax [2/23/11]

A Hawaiian Night by thepunkway [3/7/11]

A Dream Come True by gtsuperdave [5/8/11]

Absolute Absolutely by admiralchekov [5/9/11]

A Teacher's Day by darkblaze012 [5/29/11]

Adam's Gift by madcap902 [5/29/11]

Hero Chronicles by FoxLegend [6/10/11; Half his continuing threads in this one simply say, "Later"]

A New Watch by analplay [7/5/11]

A New Job by argonaut [7/9/11]

A-- Effect by sickjester [7/17/11]

School Teacher by FoxLegend [7/27/11]

A High School Story by FoxLegend [Perhaps not; has locked threads, but says it was "modified" today]

This is just a partial list, a "starting point" if you will...

I know I have a Locked thread within 'A Test With Jill'. The author created a sequel to that one, so I think they might have had a specific goal, reached it, then abandoned the story to start the next one.

I checked the author's story list, & see no sign of a connection to any others.

Besides, if they had such a goal, I'd think it'd make more sense for it to be a closed story.

Hi, I've had a locked thread since June in Innocent Virgin! and would be willing to take over as editor.

If only wishing made things so.

I have posted about locked threads in several stories for myself & many other writers, including pseudonyms that have long since been banned from the site. Until recently, I had a mile-plus-long list saved on my PC of stories with locked threads that had not been touched in years. Unfortunately, it appears our "orphanage" has also become inactive.

"Ask, & you shall receive." There has already been progress on some of the threads I listed. However, these remain locked:

http://www.chyoo.com/index.php/main.story.page/131776 = Locked

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, the editors of the above have remained the same, as far as I can tell. That makes them different than these threads:

http://www.chyoo.com/index.php/main.story.page/121735

http://www.chyoo.com/index.php/main.story.page/121736

http://www.chyoo.com/index.php/main.story.page/121321

All 3 of these are from the same story, which I am an approved author for. A certain CHYOO/Lit. worker is not a thread-writer at all, & yet has made themselves the editor.

Approved.

tnadnuder seems to be squawking about something, but since I ignore his posts, I assume that he's complaining about me not approving his threads. All I can say is that I'm working on it. Action! has a lot of threads needing approval. I'm working my way through.

I know he expects instant action, but this is a volunteer job.

I'm cool with you ignoring me, much the way I ignore anything you do... If such a thing ever exists.

I know he expects instant action, but this is a volunteer job.

Which means you shouldn't volunteer unless you plan to do the job, & actually have the time & ability.

If only there were people out there who are willing & able to be editors for stories, perhaps some of the same people who have threads waiting to be approved? Oh, there are, but Torg prefers to wait for them to name the site after him.

EDIT: Oh, & lest we forget that the vast majority of the "pseudonyms" I wrote those threads under have been "banished" (also by Torg), so he can edit the threads, adding all the spelling/grammar & other mistakes he wants, & I can't fix them.

EDIT 2: He claims to be the Editor for "A Wishbone Tale", but I should be "trusted" under the rules of the Story Summary, & that isn't the case.
