Ironed some things out

For those of you who did read "Pam's Empty Nest, Ch. 1 and 2," I thank you. I took a lot of your feedback and turned those two chapters into this larger installment. I don't intend on taking every single piece of feedback and reworking like this regularly. However, since this was my first effort, I wanted to have something solid as a launch pad. I think this is it.
