Hello from London!

I'm claiming that stain! My street creed needs some boosting!

Note to self. Using the term 'cat' 'cool cat' and 'street creed' is something the kids don't do:eek:

If you figure out how to get it out, let me know because I’ve already turned my seat cushions over to hide the red wine stains and can’t do so again (may or may not be true to life...)

Ha! You’re stranger than me :D:heart:

Said with love of course, :rose:

Sorry - a bit much? :D. I bet you didn’t expect people to share puppet shots on lit. :D

xx
Hmmm a good caning

And I still have "the internet is for porn" as an ear worm.
Have you seen them live?

(Is it wrong that I'd rather see someone dressed than them send me vagina pictures?)

Yep - I saw them live at Lincoln theatre which is a gorgeous old theatre btw... highly recommended, xx

I need to get to New York... I am desperate to see something on or off broadway...

I'm sure it will shock you, but Angelica S highly recommends Hamilton. Actually recommends that you come to Chicago to see it. Easier than getting tickets in London or NY. And "free" lodging could be arranged. ;)

And we're back to kiss n tell!

We'd make the front page of the Sun!

It would take a bit more than my antics to make the front of the sun... probably... and I don’t imagine they’d be kind to me...

Not fair, Allia. Now I want to see too. :)

Not very exciting... a genuine Allia pic of the original Basil Brush and a blurred Allia selfie with button moon - let me see if I can find the links for you, xx

I have just this week bought a Hamilton ticket! I saw a solitary one available (for silly money...) and checked my other half had no plans to see it... seems that was a silly question so since I spend such a lot of time alone in a London hotel room I have decided to treat myself.. never been to the theatre alone before - will be an experience :cattail:

Used to go to the opera alone as no one wanted to go with me.

You may get hit on by guys like me (solo at the theatre)

But fuck them (he he, see what I did there;))

It's not too different to taking someone with you to watch as you can't really chat during the performance albeit you can at the end.. just go and have fun....any idea what you'd like to watch?

I’d have gone to Don Giovanni with you.. anything else you might need to explain the plot, but I know and love Don Giovanni...

Will be watching Hamilton but I should make an effort to see more, I’ll regret it when my London adventures are over... one night, back from a meeting in a bit of town I was unfamiliar with, I passed a play in a shipping container but I just wasn’t brave enough... I was thinking about how to get back to my hotel from this bit of London I didn’t know... wuss!

I am ridiculously, practically inappropriately, excited that you are going to see Hamilton! I agree with our new friend here in that I think events like plays, movies, opera, and the symphony are excellent places to go solo. Once the house lights go down or the conductor takes the podium, conversation should cease. Trust me, this girl will shush a bitch. During intermission, stretch your legs, read the program. No sidekick needed.

I have also found opera to be the hardest sell. I've seen several operas on my own (La Boheme, L'Elisir d'Amore, Lucia di Lammermoor). :rose:
I actually have several colleagues now that appreciate opera. La Traviata will be our inaugural group opera.

^^ always nice to find new play friends:devil:

I've been to a few lovely houses. La Scala, Sydney but never got around to London or Paris (despite numerous visits)

Ballet is the one I struggle with. Love the music, just, men in tights... Yeah I know... I'd fuck the ballerinas though! WHAT!

Can I join?

This is looking like a bit of a private convo but just wanted to say:

1). It’s verging on hot in London this week.

2) Yes to Hamilton.... I’m off to see it Thursday. ( cannot wait)

3). Yes to the ballet .... particularly Sergei Polunin or Carlos Acosta.

As you were

😉
