i probably shouldnt take this time to mention that lucky and i have been here nearly two years and we still arent all the way unpacked...

so i wont.

:kiss:

good luck in your unpacking plans.
:rose:

Min and I have moved house 3 times in the last 10 months.
Fun it was not. I personally have moved house 5 times in the last 2 1/2 years.
It's becoming second nature to leave things in boxes ready for the next move. And I downsize on every move. At this rate I'll soon have nothing left to move!!

I was planning on leaving for Atlantic City at 9:00am this morning (it's a three hour drive and I wanted to get there by lunch time). It's now 10:45 and I still haven't showered...

Whenever you get away, have a great weekend.

the only help ill need from visitors is an open mind...open to fun, closed to mess. *grin*
dont know that ill even have the pool up by then. its so cold today that i can't imagine it but by then, itll be warm enough that peeps might want a midnight dip.

odd weather this. :confused:
An open mind... :confused: If our group was anymore open minded we'd be aliens and I don't mean from Mexico..... :rolleyes:

I can handle setting up the pool and even help finishing the deck if it still needs any work.... Just let me know.....

ETA: *Shudder* I'll even make the airport run to pick up Min and Mat...

This is our annual Easter return of winter for a couple of days thingy..... As Rumple put it so well...."This to shall pass."

No need, Sweets, we're hiring a car. Hoping at some time in our visit to pay a trip to Houston to see my bro.

But I love you for the offer. :kiss:

Snow?? *looking outside at the sunshine, and the wife sitting on the pation smoking, in lovely spring warmth*.

I think we have your weather.

Going to post some pics we took yesterday on my picture thread on the Artists Forum, shortly.

I think you'll like some of them.

Mood ~~~It is a good day :)

Busy with housework and laundry
~~Even though we have 3 inches of snow, there is beauty in it as well
~~~Positive words from friends last night are with Me today
Today I'm nothing but pissed. It started snowing again...heavily. *sigh*
I was supposed to come over my friend's but now.... *another sigh*
I really doubt any of this will stick, but it's coming down better than I've seen since my childhood. I love it. Am thinking I should make a run to the beer store sooner rather than later, though. Also, kudos on the fire idea. Will start sorting out some logs and get the pit ready outside. And inside of course. ;)
The sun is still shining over the blue sea.
I have painted half my garden wall.
The beach hut owners have opened them for the season and renovations, painting etc is in full swing as their children play on the beach.
It's not really barbecue weather yet although a couple of beach hut families have had barbecue lunches.
It has been warmer here today than some of the Spanish beaches.
The North Sea is still cold. Those who tried paddling soon regretted it with blue tootsies!
Abso-fucking-lutely ASTOUNDED.
70 - 80 people for a *Christening*? What the fuck is *wrong* with your family darling?
I agreed to make a cake when I thought it was going to be about 25. I cannot afford to make one any bigger. She'll just have to lump it.
There's an old saying in the military..."It's less painful to shot yourself in the foot than to volunteer." :D
Just as well it's not my family.
Full scale events such as weddings, funerals, christenings and golden weddings get up to 400 relations turning out.
When we got married we had the absolute minimum - my parents, her parents, my brother and wife and their four children, and my wife's sister.
When one of my cousins got married in her local church there were about 200 people standing at the back and the church seats 850.
They had an orchestra, an augmented choir of about 50, and they left between an escort of Boy's Brigade members.
If both partners-to-be are heavily involved in the local community, and their parents are too, then the attendance at such events can be enormous.
Funerals are slightly less well attended because they take place at short notice. Catering for hundreds takes some organisation.
Yeah - extended step-family on his side is why I want to cry at the thought of our wedding. All the same - at a christening - parents, siblings, godparents should be it, no?
I mean, I saw a list a couple of weeks ago and there was only about 25 people on it.
I think she's just got carried away. Stupid girl (future sister-in-law).
I feel romantic, sexy, loved. I'm also very excited because we went house hunting and we are finally going to buy our dream house. :nana: :rose: :kiss: :heart: :cathappy:
Going through loads and loads of old photos.........oh, the memories. *sigh*
Scanned them all eons ago, several to a page, now I'm cutting and pasting into the right folders in my filing system. Boring and time-consuming, but essential.
A break for supper.......grilled terryaki chicken, new potatoes in butter and a large mixed salad (2 types of lettuce, cucumber, tomato, apple, grapes, carrot and fresh basil....add dressing of choice when serving. For me, it was plain and simple olive oil). Deelish and v v v v healthy.
:D
