And so they meet in a most unusual way …

Inside “The Drunken Unicorn” in the small hamlet near castle Vix, a statuesque elf with fuchsia colored hair with silver ends, beauty slowly walked towards the “private” section of the bar. Many of the eyes in the bar watched her … as she had worn a silky green robe … her heavy breasts shifting under the material with each stride. Then she entered the “private” section of the bar and was out of view.

The private section of the bar was reserved for the rich and powerful. The elf that had just entered was named Jatree and she was not powerful … but she was rich. Very much so. She smiled as she walked over to her friend Firlonee, who was your more typical thin white haired elf, sitting at a table.

“Hi Firlonee” Jatree said with a smile. “I was hoping to catch you here … about the play tomorrow … shall I wear my emerald jewelry or my pearls?”

“Hi Jatree” Firlonee answered getting up and giving the other elf a small hug. Then she asked with surprise on her face. “You are willing to wear the ancient jewelry from your dad’s collection?” Firlonee asked.

The two sat down and talked excitedly about jewelry, they waved their hands to make points. That kind of grouping of two beautiful women … usually resulted in unwanted male attention … A few moments later four gnolls entered the private viewing area and surrounded the women. The hyena looking humanoids were between seven and eight feet tall, weighing around 250 to 320 pounds, each of them wore an assortment of odd armor made of horn, metal, or leather. Each had a different coloring; one with reddish-brown fur, another black, another with white and black spots, the last one was grey. Their eyes are either yellow or black … and none of those eyes were going to take no for an answer.

“Let’s go ladies … my dog bone needs some loving.” The grey one said.

“Yes … let’s do it doggy style” another one added.

“OHHH how crude” Jatree stated in disgust “All of you don’t belong in the private section!”

It was a warm but dreary day with little rain falling from the grey skies above, though it was just a little rain it still ruined any game for the young human hunter Xanneiros. Knowing that the woodland creature's near by would be scurrying for cover to keep dry Xanneiros had to find other means to keep himself entertained.

http://i351.photobucket.com/albums/q456/Linkono/anime123.jpg

Knowing just where to go for the type of entertainment he was looking for, Xanneiros heads to The Drunken Unicorn. Walking in to the pub, immiediatly eyes move to him, some more knowingly then others. Taking a few seconds to let the crowd over look him to come to the conclusion that he is someone probably not to be trifled with as he is dawned with arm guards and a blade by his side, his platinum hair matted down from the rain.

As he stands at the bar waiting for his drink he eyes over the crowd some more and as he scans for potential trouble makers a woman in a green robe crosses his view. Unable to avert his eyes like every other hot blooded man in here Xanneiros follows her stride, not out of pure lust but also out of curiousity as he sees her walking to the private section. Having only been able to see her backside he could tell she wasn't much of a fighter from the way she walked, a woman fighter wouldn't have as much sway to her hips as they walked, unless of course it was all for show to throw the men off.

Turning to take a sip from his cup, Xanneiros here's slightly heavier foot steps as a group of Gnolls enter the private area. "Oh boy." he thought to himself not thinking that a group of gnolls would be the source of trouble he had hoped for. Though he was a good distance from the private area, he could clearly hear the profanity the gnolls were using towards the ladies. Taking a look around, Xannerios could see that noone was about to intervene on this matter, he didn't really blame them, gnolls are fowl creatures and ruthless.

Not wanting to see this escalate out of control Xanneiros walks to the private area taking note in each of the gnolls and they're gear in case this were to break out into a fight, he walks behind one of them and asks" Is there a problem here?"

This place is really going to the dogs!

Both Jatree and Firlonee stood up as the four gnolls surrounded them. Jatree was still bothered that they had come into the private section of the bar. She wondered where the bar’s bouncer was? Glancing around she saw the private area had only a few patrons. There was the busty barmaid in the corner … a few humans at the bar, and a table with four Halflings at it. In one of the far corners were a dwarf and a strange hooded figure.

Then she saw a human fighter type walk up behind the gnolls and ask "Is there a problem here?"

One of the gnolls turned on him “No problem … we were just asking the bitches if they wanted to fuck!”

Then he turned and asked Jatree “Do you want to fuck?”

Jatree was a bit shocked at the gnoll’s language. But she responded “I assume by your question is that this pick-up line must work for you … if you are using it on me!”

The Gnoll laughed like a hyena … then he responded, “Yes it works all the time.”

Jatree smiled “Well … Apparently, not all the time. Because I’m not interested.” She replied.

“I’m going to enjoy gang raping YOU!!” The gnoll said.

The human fighter had heard enough “Ok … that is enough …” He said.

“Stop interfering human … this doesn’t concern you.” The gnoll threatened and pushed the human back. The Gnoll then grabbed Jatree’s arm. The Magic user was done with these bullies. She reached down and placed her other hand right up against his crotch and cast a “frost hands” spell. Freezing the gnoll’s private parts … the gnoll HOWLED.

Jatree said "You need to cool it!" and giggled

The gnoll tried to knock her hand away from his crotch … she pulled her hand back just in time. But the other gnoll next to her … back handed her … and she went flying against the Halfling table … breaking it … and the Halflings all scattered.

It took almost no time at all … and soon there was overturned furniture … beer mugs being thrown … even a hard biscuit was seen flying through the air … It was a full blown bar fight!!

Xanneiros eyes squinted slightly at the fowl language the gnoll was using towards the elf woman who had walked into the bar not long after him. The gnoll didn't help his case as he continued to fowl mouth the elf lady and feeling it was time to step in, Xanneiros moved closer to the gnoll in hopes to manuever the giant creature away from the two but to no avail as he was pushed back by the brute.

Quickly composing himself Xanneiros places his hand to his blade ready to unsheath it when the elf lady in green quickly casts what looks to be an ice spell on the gnoll's crotch causing him to howl in pain. Though she was quick on the reaction to the one she and Xanneiros didn't see the other gnoll coming at her till it was too late and she was flown into a table nearby causing the customers at the table to scatter. Before anyone else knew it the whole pub breaks out into a full bar fight.

With all the chaos being caused by the lot of gnoll's Xanneiros' goal is to get the two elven women out of the pub safely without shedding any blood. Quickly reacting, Xanneiros runs forward and jumps over the gnoll with the frozen crotch, still howling in pain, to reach the other elven woman who got corneredby the other two gnoll's.

Knowing the size and the strength difference between him and the two gnoll's, Xanneiros goes for a more tactical approach with close quater combat unsheathing two curved dagger's from his thighs and aims low to the well built beasts shins causing them to howl and buckle down to their knees. As he makes a quick reach for the lady, one of the fallen gnoll's tries to grab the human warrior but fails as Xanneiros is quicker and dodges the beast's grasp and grabs a hold of the elf.

"Hold on." he says to the elf as he grabs her around the waist a little more firmly before jumping from table to table to get to her friend who is recovering from the hit she took. "Are you alright?" he asks the elf in green as he lets go of her friend to reunite them keeping his eyes on the crowd for any attacks coming their way.

Firlonee stood up and nodded to Jatree concerned face “I’m ok” she told her friend.

Jatree smiled and said “Did you see the "frost hand" spell I used … talk about a case of blue balls … that gnoll’s pecker was frozen solid!!” Jatree and Firlonee started to giggle.

The human fighter interrupted the giggling and asked Jatree."Are you alright?"

The beautiful elf did not need more of an invitation than that.

“Look at this” She said showing the human the chip in her fingernail polish “That brut … threw me over here and beside the bruise on my side where he hit me … the other bruise from hitting this table … the dirt on my dress … he chipped my fingernail! And you ask me if I’m alright … UGH!” Jatree commented.

Firlonee shook the human’s hand “my name is Firlonee Oddar … from the ruling family of the forest elves” She said her nose rose just slightly into a more superior position.

“Jatree Keta … from the wealthy Keta family” Jatree said … making sure the human had heard the word “wealthy”

Just as she concluded … a hard biscuit hit her friend Firlonee right on the forehead “AHHH” Firlonee squeaked. The thin white haired elf grabbed a wine bottle and got ready to throw it back … When Jatree stopped her “Firlonee … wait … look at the bottle!” She gasped. Firlonee did and gasped too “This is elven late harvest lankenberry spiced wine from the 4th era. I can’t throw that!” She grabbed an ale mug … and tossed it as hard as she could. There was a crash and an UGH at the impact.

“Beat that Jatree” Firlonee stated. Jatree smiled and grabbed a hard biscuit, took aim and tossed it as hard as she could.

The city watch marched into the private section of the bar right after the biscuit was tossed and the very hard item struck the captain of the watch, square in the face.

“ARREST EVERYONE”!! He screamed as he was stared right at Jatree.

Jatree looked over to Firlonee and the Human fighter “Oops! … But you have to admit it was a good throw!!”

Two hours later

Firlonee, Jatree and Xanneiros sat in a cell talking.

“So you now see why I need a fighter” Jatree explained.

Xanneiros shook his head “no” and said “I think so … but could you give me a quick recap?”

Jatree sighed “Yes … it is simple … Lady Moonfire of the town of Loudwater … would like me to visit concerning some cold weather they are having. It is that simple” Jatree stated.

“So why did you tell me her whole family story?” Xanneiros asked in confusment.

“Because Lady Moonfire is a half elf … not a full elf. That is important!” Jatree said

The jailer showed up and stated in a dull voice “you three have been cleared … you are free to go … your weapons and packs have been placed on the counter” He said unlocking the cell door and opening it.

With his back leaned against the cold stone cell wall and his arms crossed along his chest Xanneiros listens carefully to the story the elf in green who introduced herself as Jatree has to tell. From what he gathered from the story was that she needed a protector and thus had asked for his aide and that she was summoned by a Lady Moonfire who was of half elf descent and not of full blood descent. Why or how this bit of information was import he did not know.

As he listened to Jatree's story he took the chance to look her over. She did indeed carry the traits of a full blood elf with a few modifications such as her fuchisia hair that had a hint of elven to it with the tips being of the natural silver color that traveled down to the mniddle of her back. Looking further down the warrior took notice of a necklace ending just above the valley to her buxom chest that you rarely see in the elven women, though not too revealing Xanneiros could tell from the thin material of the robe that her breast's were slightly more of a handful.

Before being able to look the rest of her over Xanneiros catches movemnt outside the cell as a jailguard makes his appearance known. Announcing that they were free to go and where they can pick up their weapons, Xanneiros pays kindly to the ladies allowing them out of the cell first. "So how are we to go about this "protection" deal?" Xanneiros asks as he straps his sword to his left hip. With that asked Jatree looks to the warrior with slight confusion. He looks to her with a smile on his face and a slight chuckle. "I'm kidding, I'm not going to ask for money or anything as I'm not a hired mercernary or anything like that." he reassures her before walking outside of the jail house.

Jatree

Jatree went to go pick up her items … and found the bottle of elven late harvest lankenberry spiced wine from the 4th era in her travel bag. She smiled. It looked like it was going to be her lucky day!

First, she had gotten into a fight with gnolls … what fun!! Next she had used the frosthand spell correctly, not an easy spell … she had found an escort she needed for the trip to Loudwater, he seemed nice … and now … free wine!! Yiphee!!

She looked into the mirror as she adjusted her appearance. She pushed back her long fuchisia hair exposing her friendly and almost prefect face. She had been called statuesque by her friends. The thought gave her self-confidence and she held her shoulders back, proudly. This action made her green mage’s robe stretch across her massive chest, the large green emerald of her necklace hanging just above her startling deep cleavage. The black with gold threads rope belt kept the robe closed and showed off her slender waist. Her long legs were covered by the robe, but her ankle high boots with the gold trim could be seen by the mirror.

She headed over to the others who were waiting outside. She remembered what Xanneiros had said “… I'm not going to ask for money or anything as I'm not a hired mercernary or anything like that." he said.

“Xanneiros … I can not expect you to come along on this trip without compensation. How about a standard adventurer’s contract … I just happen to have one handy …” Jatree said as Firlonee rolled her eyes not believing her friend was actually doing this.

Jatree bumped Firlonee shoulder with her shoulder “Stop the eye rolls … this is how business is done. How do you think my father got so wealthy!” Jatree added and pulled out the contract and handed it to Xanneiros.

“See it is a standard contract … Please note the expected standards of conduct … like upholding your duties to the best of your abilities. Not betraying your fellow adventurers. No raping … or rapping for that matter. No looting nor pillaging without Leader’s consent. And if for some reason your leader betrays you, you shall seek redress through the hamlet of castle vix mayor.

For my part … I shall uphold the contract and perform my duties to the best of my abilities. I shall not betray you. I shall not rape, nor pillage from civilians. Looting shall be confined to the battlefield, and any dungeon, cave or lair we find. If in doubt, it shall be at my discretion. I shall not accept impossible nor suicidal missions for the group. I may repurchase the contract, at the full face value, at any time.

All expenses shall by a member responsibility … and any treasure found shall be split evenly across the members of the adventurer’s group after group expenses are paid for.” Jatree said matter of factly.

“Do your agree to these terms?’ Jatree asked smiling at Xanneiros. Firlonee was standing behind Jatree and could not be seen. So she just rolled her eyes again … mouthed silently “just sign the contract … she’ll shut up after that!”

Xanneiros

Waiting outside with Firlonee, Xanneiros took in the bright warm sun radiatting his already fairly tanned skin as the rain had cleared the skies, showing trace of very few clouds rolling away from the city. He had liked that the rain had stopped but giving the current events he had slightly doubted that he would be able to go hunting any time soon but it didn't bother him too much. Turning to face the jailhouse Xanneiros got a glimpse of Firlonee check a puch of hers, probably making sure nothing was taken or forgotten.

Thinking he should do the same Xanneiros unsheathed his sword to see if any damage had been put upon the blade. Holding it in his right hand he turned his wrist ever so slightly to examine the blade carefully. Seeing that there was no indentations or scratches made to the black blade brought joy to the young warrior as he took a final look to the elven translatiuon up along the middle of the blade that translated to "The bones of our foes will gleam umder the Moon" as it always reminded him of a once dear friend of his who had made the blade for him and they agreed to name it MoonShine.

Taking a last look at MoonShine Xanneiros catches a glimps of Jatree exiting thye jailhouse. Sheathing his sword he watches carefully as Jatree walks towards him with Firlonee soon following. Seeing Jatree walk from a distance Xanneiros couldn't help but notice that with every step she made her slightly larger then average tits would bounce. “Xanneiros … I can not expect you to come along on this trip without compensation. How about a standard adventurer’s contract … I just happen to have one handy …” the young attractive elf stated, breaking the young warriors gaze from her chest to her face.

He took the contract in question and looked at it after glancing to Firlonee then back to Jatree for the noticeable jab at each other about the contract. Xanneiros read it over as he listened to Jatree explain it making sure that what she said was indeed on the contract. It was pretty straight forward and was something he could find himself following to, although there were a few things mentioned that made him question as to what kind of company she has had in her presence such as to the no rapping, he didn't know of anyone who rapped. He hid his amusement as the contract stated that she wouldn't rape or pillage any civillians for the image in his head was quite humerious.

Looking up away from the contract Xanneiros looked to Jatree and her smiling face. "The contract seems legit and I have no questions and or problems with it." the young man replies as he reveals a dagger from a well hidden side pocket and uses it to make a slight cut to his index finger. "For as long as this contract is in effect I will follow it's rules." he says as he signs the bottom of the contract with his blood. Rolling the piece of parchement Xanneiros then hands it back to Jatree with a reassuring smile.

“Great” Jatree said excited. “Now I need to pick up a few things. A centaur named Kronos will be joining us for the journey. He can carry lots of stuff” She explained as she placed the signed contract away.

Firlonee interjected “Jatree …are you sure you want Kronos along?”

Jatree sighed “Yes … he has been with my family for years. Now bud out, Firlonee!” Jatree said in a good natured way. “Shall we meet at the western gate in say two hours?” Jatree suggested. Xanneiros nodded yes and the two went their separate ways.

2 hours later at the western gate

http://justinsweet.com/GALLERY/DETAIL/121_kronos.jpg

As Xanneiros approached the western gate there stood Kronos and Jatree. Both of them looked ready to travel. Jatree had a big smile spread over her oh so kissable lips as she waited for him. Her hair was pulled back in a ponytail, lest it get in the way of a spell casting. Her ample breasts were held captive by a bluish-silver adorned leather corset, around her neck was a necklace, but the stone was under her corset and not visible. A cape of deep verdant green lay draped over her shoulders. In her hand was her staff, at her sides, two long daggers. Her legs were clad in a pair of skin tight black leather breeches. A pair of brown calf high boots completed her outfit. She seemed a little out of place, only because her clothing was too clean and neat. She was ready for the trip.

His eyes then studied the big centaur next to her. He was huge and powerfully built. He was all brawn and muscle; He wore some kind of golden armor on his human half … and of course there was a bow and arrow quiver on his back. Around his waist was a thick belt to hold his Cavalry sword. His face was bearded and the color matched his blonde hair. His equine half was all Clydesdale. The thick coat was the color of honey and his tail color was blonde the same color as his beard and hair. He wore saddle packs to carry his supplies.

There was a frown on the centaur’s face. “Is that him?” The centaur asked Jatree bluntly, loud enough so Xanneriros could hear the question...

“Yes” She answered waving at Xanneiros.

Kronos frown got deeper “He kind of small, don’t you think? … How is he going to protect you?” He asked disapproving of Xanneiros.

“Now Kronos … don’t get jealous already …I was hoping you two would become men friends …. Fighting buddies” Jatree said all chipper and happy.

“Not likely … that would require the Halfling be able to fight.” Kronos grumbled. Jatree gave him a mean look. “Sorry Jatree … I’ll try to be nice.” the centaur said

“Thank you” Jatree said.

As Xanneiros joined them Jatree gave him a big hug. “I’m so glad you are joining us … thanks!” She said

“You did not give me a big hug like that” Kronos grumbled some more.

“Oh, by Hades fires … you are such a big baby” Jatree said and went over and gave him a big hug … which was a bit lower than on a human. The centaur looked at Xanneiros and mouthed the words “She likes me better!” and then stuck out his tongue at the fighter.

When Jatree was done giving out hugs … she said “Xanneiros I'd like you to meet Kronos. Kronos ... Xanneiros" They both shook hands ... Kronos had a very firm hand shake.

"Xanneiros, place your travel bag on Kronos and we’ll be off.” Jatree suggested

Kronos objected “Hey … I’m not a mule you know”

Jatree sighed and turned on the big centaur “But you are an ASS … now stop this behavior or I’m going on this trip without you.”

“Sorry … here give me your bag Xanneiros” He request and took the bag and got it situated on his horse back.

Then they were off … they had not gone more than 100 feet when the dwarf captain of the guard, who happened to be at the gate said “Halt” He looked at the centaur. “Where are you off too … Horsie? And who are your friends”

Kronos did not want a fight with the captain of the guard … that could only end up badly for them. But he really hated to be called “horsie”

Xanneiros

Not being a local of the town, Xanneiros had no means of a house of his own to go and get himself fully prepared for whatever the adventure may bring but that didn't mean he couldn't go out and buy a few things. Having two hours to get himself ready the young warrior took this time to buy a few items at the local shops. Making his first stop at the the apothecary's Xanneiros looks over their stock and is pelased to see that the items in store are of affordable price. Unsure if Jatree knows of any healing spells Xanneiros thought it wouldn't hurt to purchase a few potions.

Making his buy Xanneiros politely thanked the young woman at the counter. Leaving the store the young warrior placed the few potions he had just bought into a very small sack that he tied off to the belt on his waist. Not wanting to carry too much Xanneiros thought over what else he would need. Considering he is to be on the road for who knows how long, Xanneiros thought it would be good hygene to buy a few items of clothing. Deciding that is best the young warrior heads on to the nearest clothing store. A few moments later Xanneiros exits the last store with a decent sized bag with the few items of clothing he thought best suited for his travels that he can easily carry with one hand. Thinking it was time to meet up with Jatree and her firiend Xanneiros heads off to the west gaate.

As the west gate entrance came into view Xanneiros first sees Jatree and notices that she had changed her outfit to something a little less modest. Her bluish silver corset encasing her slightly more then handful breasts causing them to protrude upward slightly. As he got closer to the two Xanneiros heard what the centaur said but payed no mind to it. Having joined them Jatree surprised Xanneiros with a hug, something he did not expect at all and couldn't help but feel her encased bosom's press against his chest. The centaur then showed his jealousy by pointing out that he never got a hug. Wanting to please the centaur and her friend Jatree obliged to the creature's wants and gave him a hug as well. With that gratification the centaur stuck his tongue out at the young warrior who again payed no attention to as he was more mature then that.

After giving out hugs Jatree had introduced Kronos and Xanneiros to each other and in proper greeting they shook hands. It was no surprise to Xanneiros that the centaur would have a firmer hand shake and that he had added a little tightness to it to show dominance over the young fighter but it didn't phase Xanneiros at all. When the two released eachother's hands Jatree suggested that Xanneiros put his travel bag on Kronos. He first looked to Jatree as Kronos showed no interest in carrying Xanneiros' bag but then looked to Kronos as Jatree scolded him to be nice and top carry his bag. Seeing the defeat in Kronos Xanneiros playfully stuck out his tongue at the centaur as he put his bag gently on the centaur's back.

Walking to the west entrence gate that was no more then a few feet from them the three walk into the captain of the guard who had stopped them.
“Where are you off too … Horsie? And who are your friends?" he had asked Kronos while looking right at him probably assuming that he was the leader of the group. Xanneiros looked to Kronos with slight worryment for the centaur, yes they had gotten off to a slightly rocky start but there was no need to be degraded by name calling. Unsure if he should speak up Xanneiros looked to Jatree thinking maybe she would be better at defusing the situation.

“Captain … My name is Jatree … Jatree Keta … from the wealthy Keta family” The elf mage stated calmly. “My traveling companions are Kronos, the centaur and Xanneiros, the human fighter. We headed to the town of loudwater. The civic leader of that town, Lady Moonfire, has requested our help.” Jatree said professionally … trying to defuse the situation with her friendly smile.

The dwarf liked the pretty elf woman and smiled back “Finally, someone with manners!”

“Coming from a dwarf … that really means a lot to me” Jatree said so seriously and with a smile … the dwarf did not pick up on the pure sarcasm/silliness of the remark. Dwarves were not known for their manners. Both Kronos and Xanneiros picked up on the sarcasm. Xanneiros had a great poker face and showed no reaction. Kronos however, did not do so well … and smirked at the comment.

The dwarf grunted “What do horsie’s know about manners … you walk around with your thing hanging out.” The dwarf captain said, insulting the centaur again.

“At least I have a thing you can see …yours is so small I think you’d need to cast a “find small object” spell to locate yours!” Kronos said. Jatree spoke up quickly

“Gentlemen … please … your crude talk … is disturbing my delicate ears” Jatree said and smiled at the guard … so he would rescue her from all this crude talk. Her statement was totally false … as Jatree was probably cruder … then the dwarf, centaur, and human combined. She had said things that would make a sailor blush. Nevertheless … it worked on the guard.

The dwarf smiled back … “I have no reason to hold you any longer … Pleases be on your way … you too … horsie!” He said … then to Jatree he smiled and said “Nice to meet you …”

Jatree smiled and waved cheerfully to the dwarf as the group passed through the gate. “It was lovely to meet you too, Sir Dwarf!”

After they were further away from the town, Kronos mimicked Jatree “your crude talk … is disturbing my delicate ears …” he said looking at Jatree.

“It worked … didn’t it” Jatree replied.

Kronos led the other two into the farm lands surrounding the town of Castle Vix. This area was pretty safe with the town’s guards patrolling the roads. The three did not speak much … their minds elsewhere ... so they traveled in silence.

Jatree thought about her life, how her peers and parent had pressured her into being a wizard … She did find that having a talent with magic had been rewarding. She loved it actually. Spell casting was something she was pretty good at. But being a sorceress was lonely. Few would trust her, most feared her, and some might use her. She looked over to Xanneiros. She had not met too many people like Xanneiros. He seemed comfortable with magic.

After an hour, the group entered the forest. It was the fastest way to reach the town of loudwater. But the forest was thick and wild. With no major populated areas, they would need to have their wits about them. It was a dangerous place. Soon the trees grew thick and covered the path, making it feel as if they traveled through a living plant tunnel. A small percentage of the light made it through all the vegetation, so it became darker and more difficult to see. But the path was well kept, with only an occasional fallen branch to step over.

Kronos called for a rest alongside a small creek. Jatree removed her boots, as both Kronos and Xanneiros got a view of her shapely figure. Even dressed for travel, it was not hard to tell what a gorgeous figure she had. Jatree slipped off her boots and placed her feet in the cool water of the creek. It felt refreshing, as she refilled her water container.

Then she did something Kronos and Xanneiros did not expect. She broke out a small tea set.

“Did you want some tea? … its elven drammelong tea … very expensive … but tastes wonderful!” she told them.

Xanneiros' gaze followed Jatree's steady and graceful steps as she had presented herself to the Dwarven guard and introduced herself and her companions never leaving out that she was of a "wealthy" family, something Xanneiros had figured she uses more times then not thinking that that alone will get her out of trouble.
The introductions soon turned into the guard and Kronos arguing about one's manners to each of them commenting on the lack of or too exposed of the other's private parts. It wasn't a topic that made the young fighter uncomfortable, just that he didn't like that the Dwarf made the first jab at Kronos with his crude words. Before long the banter soon stopped with the guard allowing them to pass.

“Your crude talk … is disturbing my delicate ears …” Kronos had mocked Jatree once they were a good distance from the gate. This too made Xanneiros look to Jatree as he recalled her saying that without much conviction. Though she liked to let other's know that she came from a wealthy family Xanneiros doubted people saw her to be proper and well mannered, this he could already tell from being in Jatree's presence for only a few hours. She did however show kindness when it was needed even if it were at times in a sarcastic manner, making him think back on what she had said the Dwarven guard, grinning to himself ever so slightly.

As the group traveled onward from the farmlands to the well wooded forest Xanneiros thought to himself about the adventure thus far, he wasn't sure what to expect from this endeavor but it was definitely entertaining at most. Xanneiros' thoughts were soon brought to his surroundings as he noticed that the sun shining through the forest has become less evident. The change in scenery had put the young fighter not completely on edge but just enough to keep his senses aware of any danger.

Thinking it was best to take a minor break Kronos lead the other's to the side of a creek to rest. As Jatree took toward the creek Xanneiros took spot on top of a boulder not far from the two, thinking the slight elevated height would prove for a good advantage point. Taking a seat Xanneiros watched the flow of the shallow water and it's inhabitants as they swam swiftly through the water. The young lad watched as a small school of fish swam through avoiding the beams of light shining through the stream as if they were a danger to them, following them as they stop curiously around Jatree's feet playing around her toes as if they were bait.

Gently turning his gaze from the fish to Jatree's feet and up along her soft silky looking legs taking in every inch of them. As his gaze continued upward he noticed that the sunlight beaming through the branches and leaves of the trees seemed to accentuate her body.

“Did you want some tea? … its elven drammelong tea … very expensive … but tastes wonderful!” she said breaking Xanneiros' trance from her body to the tea set she had plated beside her.

"Yeah sure." he replied as he jumped from the boulder and walked over to Jatree. Not concerned if she saw him gazing over her luscious frame the young fighhter took a seat next to the young elven woman sitting with his legs crossed indian style and carefully took a cup from her. Taking a seep of the tea that he has never tried before but was never afraid to try something new he had noticed it had a very sweet taste to it and it went down as smooth as silk if it were somehow formed into a liquid.

"So how far is Loudwater?" he had asked looking to Jatree as he placed his tea cup gently on his plate .

Tea for two?

Jatree grinned and did not answer his question, instead she asked him another “Do you like the tea?”

“It is very sweet and goes down smooth as silk” Xanneiros replied.

“It has some magical properties … that you may find helpful.” She said grinning. The tea was a stimulant, temporarily warding off drowsiness and restoring alertness.

Kronos grunted “Always makes my stomach upset” he grumbled.

Jatree giggled “A more alert and awake centaur … that might be fun!” She stated. She looked back at Xanneiros.

“If we make good progress we should reach the town of Loudwater by tomorrow. It is not a large town … it is a way station along trading routes from east to west. A place caravans stop to resupply. The town also is a farming community … as it is late summer … they are gearing up to collect their fall harvest.” Jatree explained.

“The town ran into some trouble years ago … as an evil warlock built a tower nearby within the Dire Woods. But that evil was contained. The town has a small local militia. Their biggest threat has been bands of kobolds, and goblins that occasionally try to raid the town or a caravan.” Jatree explained.

“Lady Moonfire … sent my family a note concerning some cold weather they were having … a simple problem most likely … so I was asked to help her. I think it is an elemental fey … that is distressed.” Jatree said with too much confidence.

Kronos grunted again “More likely a frost giant … no … a family of frost giants … that has already eaten the whole town … and we are walking into a trap.” Kronos said … then he saw an opportunity to get rid of the human “Better run while you can … little human” He suggested

“Kronos … no one is running anywhere … Xanneiros signed a contract remember … anyhow … I find him wonderful company. He likes my tea!” Jatree said with a smile and place a hand on Xanneiros shoulder.

“I changed my mind … I’ll have some tea too!” Kronos said. Jatree handed him a cup … and he drank it quickly … then he went on and on … how wonderful the tea was … the best he had ever tasted … etc. Jatree and Xanneiros just looked at each other and smiled as they packed up and got moving again.

Getting Comfortable with Another

Xanneiros was slightly put off that Jatree had changed the subject of his question by asking her own but he answered hers with honesty, “It is very sweet and goes down smooth as silk”. Jatree responded with a grin as she explained that it had some added magical properties to it, something that the young warrior had noticed after a few sips of the tea when his senses seemed more alert to his surroundings.

Jatree then went on to answering Xanneiros' question saying that they should be able to make it to Loudwater by tomorrow then went to explaining about the town and the reason as to why Lady Moonfire had summoned Jatree for aide. It seemd that the town had come across an icey storm probably caused by the acts of some sort of elemental creature. "I think it is an elemental fey … that is distressed.” Jatree had stated as Xanneiros took another sip from his cup nodding his head in agreement as he sipped.

“More likely a frost giant … no … a family of frost giants … that has already eaten the whole town … and we are walking into a trap.” Kronos had pipped in trying to scare Xanneiros. Xanneiros didn't fall for the centaur's tricks as he poured himself a second cup. "I don't know much about frost giants outside of battle but I feels if it were a family of them don't you think we would have come across them or at least caught wind of their distruction?" the young warrior replied somewhat snugly before taking the first sip of his second cup as Jatree had placed her hand gently on his shoulder reassuring that she did indeed enjoy his company.

Kronos took notice of this gesture and as if being struck with an arrow of jealousy he asked Jatree for a cup of tea and downed it as if it were water, never really taking the time to enjoy the sweet taste of it as Jatree and Xanneiros was. Feeling the full effect of the tea Kronos started going on and on about it and how much he loved it as the other two finished up their cups and started to pack up. Kronos soon followed suit and hurried along next to them.

As they continued onward the centaur finally seemed to calm down a bit from the tea as he became slightly more quieter only the sounds of his hooves slightly hitting the ground. Xanneiros looked to Jatree once more, taking in the smoothness of her face as the sun lightly shone on her pale delicate skin, only showing a slight blush color to her cheek. "So Jatree should I assume that you know some fire magic, given that Lady Moonfire had asked for you specifically for this task?" he asked as he cocked his head forward only now being slightly worried that she might have noticed him admiring her beauty since they were so close in proximity of each other.

Jatree glanced over to Xanneiros as he asked his question. He had a funny look in his eyes … but she could not place what it was … As she heard more of the question all thoughts of about the look vanished …as a bunch of new thoughts replaced that old one within Jatree’s head. She loved magic … Her life had changed, when she discovered she had a talent with magic. She felt what she did now … was more rewarding then just sitting around and gossiping. But there were drawbacks to magic … being a mage was a lonely life. Few people would trust her, most feared her, and some had tried to use her. Most men did not want a wife who was a powerful magic user … it was a real problem.

But she loved to talk about magic and Xanneiros’ question allowed her to do that.

“Well … I’m not too sure what you know about magic … but I’m a mage that focuses on evocation spells. evocation spells are the best. They can make things go boom! Some of the spells I have mastered, faster than any other student in the history of the 5 elements magic school i might point out ... are” She said this with a bit of pride “the fireball, lightning bolt, shatter, light, and the hand of frost spells” She told him.

“In addition …” she grabbed the large green gem that hung around her neck “This emerald … increases the effectiveness of my spells ... and provides, an antidote to a poison, basic healing 3 times a day, and the gem dulls in the presence of evil, or when a vow is broken.” She said … then a strange look crosses her face

“That is weird … the gem just darkened … and I don’t think I broke a vow …” Jatree said to herself.

Suddenly the bushes all around them … shook. Xanneiros and Kronos knew what was happening right away from their fighter backgrounds … it was an ambush.

A group of hobgoblin bandits burst onto the trail and surrounded the travelers. The hobgoblin leader was at least six feet tall, powerfully strong, and his 5 fellow thugs, were what you would expect … ugly sadistic brutes about the same size … All carried various weapons, armed with rusty swords, maces and daggers. The leader had two huge, wickedly serrated swords one in each hand.

The brute was barely smart enough to speak common … he only knew a few words “Drop weapons … kill quick …fast death” He offered.

Kronos had been quick to reach for his cavalry sword … He was in a fighter’s stance … he would have preferred to use his bow and arrows … but there was not time. This was going to be a close hand to hand battle. His other weapon was his equestrian lower half … which was all Clydesdale. His blonde tail flicked as he stated "Jatree stay close to me … I’ll protect you”

Jatree ignored him … and gave him the room he needed to fight.

“In the name of the Lord of Castle Vix … protectorate of this forest … I order you to surrender” Jatree said in her delicate female voice. There was laughter from the hobgoblins … as they charged at the three travelers.

“It was at least worth a try!!” Jatree gasped as she knew the other two were not pleased with her demand for the hobgoblins to drop their weapons. Kronos met force with force … as he swung his sword in a wide arc before him. The Hobgoblins stumbled backwards, bumping into each other.

“See how it is done … little human” Kronos said bragging to Xanneiros.

"You take up an awful lot of space," Jatree laughed as if she was having the time of her life. She leapt to one side of a rushing hobgoblin … had Xanneiros been watching he would have seen a nice display of her open legs … and very shapely indication of her female entrance as the skin tight black leather breeches were tight enough to show everything! As she landed ... She acted as if a spell was going to come from her left hand … but instead the staff in her right hand came crashing down in a furious blow … cracking open the hobgoblin’s head!

Kronos grunted in sarcasm “So that is how your magic staff works! …what is that spell called … strike to the head?”

Xanneiros was lucky enough to have the leader advance on him … both swords whirling about as the hobgoblin ...might be dumb … but he was skilled in fighting with both hands!

Bring It!

Xanneiros listened closely as Jatree answered his question, explaining what her skills were exactly involving magic. He smiled now and again as he heard the pride in her voice as she talked about how she was the best in her class. It was true that the young lad didn't know much about magic except for the basic element's and their weakness's.

“In addition …this emerald … increases the effectiveness of my spells ... and provides, an antidote to a poison, basic healing 3 times a day..." Jatree stated as she revelaed the pendant from underneath her corset. Xanneiros took notice of the emerald pendant as it hovered slightly over the tops of Jatree's ample bust, also noticing the ripple effect they gave with each step she made.
"...and the gem dulls in the presence of evil, or when a vow is broken.” he had heard her say just in time for him to notice that it had darkened in color. Putting two and two together Xanneiros quickly readied MoonShine holding it with both hands the blade pointing diagonally up and outward away from him preparing himself to be able to manuever quickly when needed as a group of hobgoblin's jumped out from the bushes surrounding the three traveler's.

Xanneiros quickly scanned the group and counted 6 hobgoblins with the biggest probably being the leader behind and in the center of the other five with one in front of him and two to the side of that one. Hobgoblins aren't the most intelligent when it comes to literature but when it came to combat they can be pretty tactical as it shows with the formation they made. Xanneiros unable to take his focus off the leader of the group was only able to catch wind of what Jatree and Kronos were saying to one another before making an advance to the center of the opposing side.

The hobgoblin in the center didn't break focus of the young swordsmen coming at him as he readied his own mace and a low howling yell as if amping himself up. Getting in close Xanneiros side stepped to the right a few inches avoiding a downward blow and swung his own blade sidewards at an open spot in the hobgoblins armor breaking the foul creatures skin. The hobgoblin quickly responded with a slight growl and a swing to the left at Xanneiros who even though slightly surprised parried the blow using the flat side of MoonShine to push back the opposing mace at the hilt knowing that his blade wouldn't be able to withstand a direct hit from the iron spike ball.

"Your're quick on your feet, I'll give you that halfling but your hits are dull." Kronos said as he struck an on coming attack from the front knocking a hobgoblin back. Xanneiros quickly glancing to Kronos to give him an annoying look noticed a hobgoblin coming in from behind Kronos. "Maybe you should pay attention to your rear!" he shouted out the rear part as he advanced on his target quickly sidestepping again to the left and this time thrusting his sword inward into the hobgoblins side and leveraging the blade upward breaking the enemy's ribcage causing an instant death.

"Intead of checking out mine." he added as he quickly removed his blade from the corpse before him, a smirk on his face as he looked at the brute before him. Looking him over as he swung his blades around, Xanneiros knew this was going to be a tough one on one fight but it didn't discourage him as he had fought worse alone. Switching up his stance to holding his sword in his right hand Xanneiros readied himself for the hobgoblin to make his move. The hobgoblin smiled devishly at Xanneiros and advanced swinging the blade in his left hand first from the side. Xanneiros easily blocked the move with his own blade and soon blocked the other blade coming from his other side with his armguard.

A public service announcement for the reader: Should you ever have to engage a centaur in combat … NEVER EVER attack him from the rear. This is for your safety and those around you.

Kronos wanted to thank the human for warning him about the hobgoblin approaching him from his backside … but a “thank you” would make the human feel good and he wanted none of that. Instead … he placed all his weight on his front legs and picked up both his back legs and kicked as hard as he possibly could. His hooves struck the hobgoblin in the chest … and there was the sound of cracking bones with the impact. Followed by a “whoosing” sound … as the hobgoblin flew backwards as if being pulled by a string … the soon to be very dead hobgoblin then was impaled on a old branch sticking out of a tree about 20 feet above the ground.

“I didn’t know … hobgoblins could fly?” Jatree said in shock …

Future travelers camping here would wonder how the hobgoblin skelton had gotten up there. They assumed it was the work of the forrest god. So did the hobgoblins in this area … and they never came near this spot again.

Jatree had her hands full with the remaining hobgoblin she was fighting. When all of a sudden she thought about that funny look Xanneiros had in his eyes … the one she could not place. But now she knew what it was. She said to Xanneiros "Hey ... you were looking at me with lust in your eyes!"

Jatree dodged another deadly blow from the hobgoblin attacking her.

Xanneiros was desperately trying to defend against the double sword welding brute shouted back "I don't think this is the right time to discuss this ..."

Kronos joined in the discussion … "HE DID WHAT??!!" the centaur asked as he reared up and used his front legs to crash down onto a hobgoblin's face and neck … this time the hobgoblin was in front of him. The creature was dead from the blow, but Kronos slammed his sword into its chest just to make sure.

“Ok Xanneiros … we’ll dscuss this later!” Jatree said and Kronos added “Ya later”

Jatree lacked the raw strength that the hobgoblin had … but she more than made up for it with grace and agility, dodging the creatures deadly blows. She saw a small opening and slipping the tip of her long silver dagger blade just past the hobgoblin’s angry swipes. The blade got through the armor … and blood spilled out of the creature’s damaged arm.

"Stay still, elf filth!" the furious hobgoblin cursed, spittle sprayed from his mouth.

"Need help?" Kronos asked as he circling around to the hobgoblin’s left.

"Kronos, please," Jatree sneered, evading a nasty overhead smash by twirling to the side, her large now sweat-slicked breasts … barely stayed in her corset. "I've been fighting hobgoblin since I was a little girl!" she laughed.

"I'll kill you!!!" The hobgoblin roared … tossed his weapon to the ground and went for Jatree’s throat. Jatree actually stepped into the Hobgoblin’s out reached arms …

"Never, ever drop your weapon when fighting against me!" Jatree yelled as she placed her staff against his abdomen and spoke one word. A lightening bolt blasted through the hobgoblin’s body … leaving a hole the size of a cannon ball. Blood flowed from the corners of the hobgoblin’s mouth as it dropped to its knees and toppled over.

"Took you long enough." Kronos said as both of them looked up to see how Xanneiros was fairing.

As Xanneiros blocked both swords at once Jatree said “He has nice form … did you see how he parred those two blows at the same time!”

“I don’t like his form at all!” Kronos said with a frown “He fights too much like a human!”

“He is a human … silly … and I think his form is amazing … look at his bulging biceps … and those thighs! WOW!!” Jatree commented. “And he has a nice butt … what do you think about his butt?”

“I … I …” Kronos did not know how to respond to that question … he finally settled for “no comment”

Xanneiros looked dead set into his opponent’s eyes as he held his guard just as easily as the hobgoblin boss was trying to break it. “Hey ... you were looking at me with lust in your eyes!” Jatree had yelled out distracting Xanneiros enough to reply back. The hobgoblin saw this as an opening and thrusts his right leg forward kicking the young warrior square in the chest and causing him to slide back a good five feet. Xanneiros was able to quickly recover from the blow just in time to dodge the hobgoblin as it came at him swinging his blades from side to side.

The young human was able to dodge the five or so swings headed at him but he knew the goblin was advancing on him quickly as he was only able to back up from the dual wielder and not being able to have an opening to move to the sides as the threat kept him centered in front of him. Seeing no other way to maneuver Xanneiros dodged the next swing coming to his right by stepping back and positioning his body like a harpoon ready to be fired he launched himself forward at his target. He was really hoping he was able to hit his mark but Xanneiros was surprised as the hobgoblin was able to move to the side by quickly stepping out of the swordsmen’s way.

The brute creature laughed a low rumbled laugh at the humans misfortune as Xanneiros turned to face the goblin. “This is going to be harder than I thought.” the young warrior thought to himself as he looked over the disgusting creature from a distance. Looking his opponent over Xanneiros quickly saw that the hobgoblin was well protected with it’s gear shelling all the vital points that a threat could go for which he found somewhat surprising as most leaders with his stature would be less protected due to over compensate their skills as a fighter especially one that is a dual weilder. What he found most surprising though was not his body gear but that both the hobgoblin’s blades were as long as his own, categorizing the three blades as long swords. For a dual wielder to hold two long swords was unheard of. Xanneiros tried to make sense of it giving the hobgoblins bigger build and height it was more then likely easy for him to wield the two swords but then he thought back onto how he was swinging the blades, from left to right only never up down or any other way.

“He’s quick, I’ll give him that.” Xanneiros thought to himself. “I can be quicker.” he replied back softly. Xanneiros then sheathed his sword which permitted a confused look from the goblin boss and probably from his own companions. Unbuckling his shin guards, wrist guards and finally his shoulder guards, Xanneiros revealed that he was wearing a sleeveless shirt that was mostly covered by his shoulder guards but now revealed his lean well defined arms. What his enemy and fellow adventurer’s didn’t know but soon will find out is that his guards were slightly weighted more so then the normal gear purchased at an regular armory thus boosting his speed when not worn.

“Oh my...” Jatree gasped slightly to herself having somewhat of a hard time controlling her womanly urges looking Xanneiros over.

OOC: To the readers I apologies greatly for the delay but I hope you all enjoy! :)

A fantasy role play inside a fantasy role play story ... this is some advanced shit!

“BY THE TAIL HAIRS OF THE HERD STALLION!! WHAT IS HE DOING?” Kronos gasped as Xanneiros calmly sheathed his sword in the middle of the battle with the hobgoblin. The shock of the centaur was doubled as the hobgoblin did nothing while the human removed his protective armor.

Jatree, who had been worried the human had completely lost his mind, thought to herself “well … I have never seen that done before … amazing!”

As more armor was removed, she saw more of him. And boy was there some things to see! He was her prefect physical type not over the top with muscles, but lean and fit. She just could not control herself and let out a gasp and then an “Oh my...” escaped her lips.

She imagined what it would be like if they made love … His steely blue eyes gazing into her eyes … His strong hands tracing every curve of her shapely form, electrifying every nerve in her body to the point of ecstasy.

He would push her long hair from her face … as she tilted her face upward his finger would gently outlines her full, supple lips. His other hand would join his first … as he leaned in for a kiss. A wanton kiss … sensual and powerful, Her passion would explode throughout her body. The kiss would get deeper and sweeter as his tongue masterfully plunged into her mouth, a tantalizing preview of how his dick would feel thrusting hard into her hungry, wet, willing pussy. He would know his way around her pleasure spots. A man practiced in finding gratification and fulfillment in satisfying his partner's sexual needs while also satisfying his own lustful passions.

Still kissing, his eager hands would start to fondle her voluptuous breasts, gently cupping them then twisting and pulling on her pink erect nipples. She would feel herself quiver at his touch. He would notice this and press his hardening manhood against her eager body.

Kronos bumped her shoulder jogging her back from her fantasy “Hey … WAKE UP … What is he doing?” The centaur asked "Putting on a strip show for the hobgoblin!"

“Just watch … he knows what he is dong … you could learn a thing or two from him!” Jatree said but she prepared a fireball spell just in case Xanneiros got into trouble.

Meeting a Sharp End

Having removed what was necessary to make him more agile and quick Xanneiros unsheathed his sword once more. Never breaking gaze with the hobgoblin boss who now had a fierce and disgust look in his eyes, probably feeling like he is being mocked of his own skills by the puny human. Giving out one last battle cry the goblin charges forward at Xanneiros.

Making his stance with his right arm stretched out and MoonShine pointing outward blade edge facing toward the oncoming threat Xanneiros wait's for the right moment to strike. As the hobgoblin grows near he swings his swords fearlessly showing off just how mobile he is with his swords before positioning both blades outward with the right aimed high and the left aimed low. Xanneiros grinned at the stance as it had left the goblin wide open unlike before. Seeing that this is his moment to strike the male warrior positions his right foot just right and kicks forward launching himself once again only this time his body was twice as light.

Xanneiros makes contact to the right of the goblin slicing through his armor and breaking skin as a trickle of blood travels through the ripped armor. The goblin made a sound of surprise not from the wound that was just inflicted but from the sheer quickness the human moved. Seeing Xanneiros only about a foot to the right of him the goblin boss turns his body around and swings the sword in his right hand toward the man the edge facing toward him.

As if he knew his opponent was going to follow up with this maneuver Xanneiros readied his lean body turned toward his target his right arm now crossed and positioned so his sword was by his left waist and once the goblin was turned enough he moved forward quickly slicing the same wound on spot. This time the hobgoblin growled out in pain as the previous wound was now deepend causing more blood to stream out and down his side.

The hobgoblin then fell to one knee as he tried to make a right step forward which brought a surprised look from Jatree and especially Kronos as a warrior like Xanneiros would know there is no possible way he could have dealt enough damge to the goblins side to cause it's body to fall. Not wanting to chance it Xanneiros quickly turns to his enemy and thrusts MoonShine into his back aiming the blade right into his ribcage and giving it a good leverage upward pushes it into his heart causing massive internal bleading.

"Well, I believe he met a sharp end." Xanneiros says as he removes his sword from the deceased hobgoblin.

I'm curious to ask, how did a puny halfling such as yourself bring such a brute to his knee?" Kronos asked walking up to Xanneiros.

"Oh, that? Simple." Xanneiros replied as he leans over the right leg of the dead boss and pulls out a throwing dagger from it's ankle. Kronos in shock presents a face of disbelief to Xanneiros as he cleans his dagger and blade and sheathes them both before walking to the rest of his gear he had removed.

You are going to do what to my dingle dangle?

As Kronos looked at Xanneiros stunned at the skill he had demonstrated. Jatree was just beaming with delight.

“I told you he knew what he was doing … told you!” Jatree bragged to Kronos.

Kronos recovered from his shock and said “Just because he got lucky … does not mean he has any skill what so ever! I believe he did not even throw those daggers … they accidently slipped from his belt and just happened to strike the hobgoblin’s ankle. Lucky, lucky, lucky … That is all I can say” Kronos concluded.

Both Jatree and Xanneiros laughed at the Centaur’s attempt not to give Xanneiros any credit for his combat skill. Jatree went over to the human and gave him a big hug.

“Good Job!!” Jatree said to congratulate him. The hug Xanneiros got from the Mage was nice as those shapely breasts were pressed against him chest and she smelled nice too. He also notice that the hug lasted longer then it should … so did Kronos.

“Hey … when do I get a hug?” Kronos complained.

“You did great too Kronos … nice kick!” Jatree said and went over and gave him a big hug, this time Kronos dropped down on his front legs so his human half aligned better to Jatree. Jatree made sure he got just as long a hug as Xanneiros.

“Ok, let’s getting going” Jatree said as the hug was completed. They quickly searched the bodies for valuables which only turned up a few coins. They cleaned up and were off. The rest of the trip that day was uneventful as they reached a suitable camp site for the night.

Darkness fell quickly in the forest and a small fire was started. Food was prepared and consumed. As they finished up the last bites, Kronos bought up a subject on everyone’s mind.

“Based upon the lustful looks made earlier today by someone” He stated looking directly at Xanneiros “I suggest Xanneiros … sleep over there behind those rocks. This is too make sure he does not try anything.” The centaur said.

Jatree grinned and looked at Xanneiros, giving him a wink “Kronos that is a bad idea. He could seduce me over there … or I might sleep walk over there … and he could have his way with me … and behind those rocks you would not hear it!” Jatree said.

“Good point” Kronos said “I shall sleep between you two. That way nothing can happen” He said.

Xanneiros smiled and had caught on to Jatree teasing of Kronos “That also would not work … how can Jatree trust you?” he said "with you next to her something might happen."

Kronos expanded his chest in pride “Xanneiros when I make love to a woman … you will hear it and wake up … don’t worry about that!” He bragged.

“What? From her snores of boredom!” Xanneiros joked “Seriously, what happens when Jatree or myself stand watch … you would be sleeping and in a moment of weakness we could sneak off and make love”

Kronos was puzzled the human had made a good point. He could think of no sleeping arrangement that worked. Jatree grin grew bigger.

“A chastity spell …I shall place a chastity spell on each of you … and I’ll be safe tonight!” Jatree said. Kronos looked over to Xanneiros, a worried look on his face.

“What?” The centaur asked.

“Yes … it is a simple spell. I place it on ... your male body part … and I’ll be safe” Jatree said. Xanneiros could tell Jatree was completely making this up.

“You are NOT going to put ANY spell on my … my … dingle dangle” Kronos said firmly.

“I guess we’ll just need to trust each other then” Jatree concluded.

"If it really is that much of a bother to you Kronos I'll sleep up there in that tree." Xanneiros had finally replied to the difficult centaur as he points at a thick tree behind him with many other thick branches that he could easily settle and lay upon.

"You really don't have to do that Xanneiros, right Kronos!?" the young attractive elf had said with edge in her voice as she looked to the centaur with an annoyed look in her eyes.

"No no, I must insist as it would prove to be a good vantage point for watch." the young warrior replied as he stood and turned toward the tree. Jatree unknowingly to the others grinned to herself as she imagined Xanneiros using the height to take advantage to see other things as down her top to see her ample bossoms. As Xanneiros climbed the tree with ease the rest of the travelers readied themselves for sleep as he took the first watch.

Xanneiros scanned the forest ground every now and again but he wasn't too worried about anything coming at them, the group of dead goblins not far from where they camped would ward off any aggressive creatures for the night. Turning his gaze he looked to Kronos who was knelt down on all fours sleeping soundly. Surprising to the young swordsmen since the centaur couldn't do anything else but keep his mouth shut when awake. He then looked to Jatree who chose to sleep close to the camp fire for warmth as it still burned slightly.

The fire burned just enough that Xanneiros could see that Jatree was wearing a cerulean nightgown made of silk that was partially see through. Looking her pale yet sofft looking skin over the young warrior could help but to start to think lustful thoughts about running his skilled yet gentle hands along her slender body to her vuluptious looking breasts. Not wanting to get too distracted Xanneiros quickly looked away into the darkness of the woods and thought of his watch instead. A few hours have passed before Xanneiros started to feel a little tired and though he was eyes were starting to strain to stay open he noticed movement out of the corner of his eye.

Quickly drawing his dagger hidden by his hip he looked toward the direction of the movement. "Easy there human, it is I." Kronos announced to Xanneiros. Feeling safer it was just him the warrior puts his dagger away. "I couldn't help but notice you getting a little dreary eyed, why don't you sleep and I'll take watch." Kronos suggested kindly. Xanneiros was unfamiliar with the kindness that the centaur was showing toward him but he didn't question his idea as he was indeed getting tired. "Yeah sounds like a good idea." he replied back turning his back to the centaur. "Oh and thank you for warning me about that goblin earlier." Kronos said taking the chance now to thank Xanneiros surprising him even more but replied back in kind before closing his eyes. "Anytime Kronos."

As the light shines through the breaks in the leaves hanging, the young warrior slowly awakens to the sound of rummaging below him. Slowly turning to his right and looking down to the camp ground he sees Jatree and Kronos packing things up. Stretching his arms over his head then leaping down to the foreground Xanneiros lands with bent knees as to cushion his fall better.

"Oh! Xanneiros! Good morning!" Jatree said with the usual peppiness in her voice as her body was bent over packing up some stuff. Xanneiros had easily noticed her clevage hanging perfectly in her corset giving him a good morning show. "Good morning Jatree." he replied back before quickly turning to his own gear at the base of the tree. "It's about time you woke up! Do you humans no nothing about waking up early!?" Kronos scoffed. "Good to know you're back to your old self Kronos." the young warrior thought to himself.

With the three set and ready they headed on out to Loudwater Town. Figuring they had about a few hours left of travel till they hit their destination Xanneiros had noticed that the air around them was getting colder. "We must be getting closer to Loudwater." Jatree had announced with her arms crossed along her chest as she tried to keep warm." Xanneiros noticed this and had asked the young elf lady if she was going to be alright in the cold.

Kronos quickly picked up on this and chimed in offering his back for warmth and for her to rest her feet. "Now boys no need to worry about trying to keep me warm, I come prepared." she reassured the two men before pulling out a thick wooled cloak. As she finished putting on her cloak the three reached theedge of the forest and was able to see the town of Loudwater not far in the distance. Though he had never been to the town itself Xanneiros had only heard about it in passing and it didn't look anything like the way people had described it. The town looked like it was completely frozen over with a few large icecles sticking out from the ground just outside the town walls.

Jatree was a bit disappointed in Xanneiros clever solution to the sleeping arrangements. She would have liked to cuddle up next to him and feel his strong hard body, but that was not to be. On the positive side, the arrangements did make Kronos a better traveling partner the next day. He only mentioned once in the morning that he got to “sleep” with Jatree, while Xanneiros up a tree.

Jatree ended any extended conversations along that line of thinking with the comment of “Well, at least one of us got to sleep … the other had to listen to a centaur snoring all night long!”

They arrived at the town of loudwater which had a blanket of frost and ice on it.

“By the 9 levels of hell … What is going on here?” Jatree said looking at the ice on the walls of the town. “It is way too early for ice!” She commented.

“Frost Giants … a whole family by my reckoning. They will eat us alive!” Kronos said but this time he was not as sure the Frost Giant explanation was a joke. The three of them entered the town and saw people going back and forth melting the ice and cleaning up.

Jatree stopped one of them and asked “What happened?”

The human shop clerk shrugged his shoulders “Freak storm last night came in …froze the town good. Never seen a cold storm this early in the season!”

The three moved on and turned a corner and saw a bunch of farmers in a circle all yelling at someone in the middle. The farmers seemed much more panicky, then the shop clerk. Some of the words the three overheard were “smug pots” and “fires to reheat the corps”. In the middle of the circle was a female half-elf.

“Lady Moonfire” Jatree informed the other two. But both of them figured that out without her help. They walked over to join the circle of farmers. A Halfling was giving the Lady an earful “You are responsible for the town’s protection” he said shaking his finger at her “An early onset of winter is bad. If the harvest fails, then this entire area will have a lean winter … VERY LEAN!!” He yelled and for a little guy he really could project his voice.

Lady Moonfire took the earful with concern on her face “I have placed a cold protection spell on the crops closest to the Dire Wood. They should survive the storm from last night.” She paused for a moment and then looked at Jatree, Kronos and Xanneiros. “And the help I asked for has arrived. Soon, hopefully, this will be all over” She commented

The farmers all looked at the visitors. Kronos was silent and stoic. Xanneiros bent his head in a slight nod … and Jatree did a small curtsy.

“Saving towns from early winter storms is our specialty” Jatree commented as the farmers continued to stare at her.

“How do you do that?” One of the farmers asked.

Jatree looked at him like he was insane “Why everyone know how that is done … what a silly question … you know, if you don’t know something it is best to just keep your mouth shut … and not confirm your ignorance to those around you!”

There was some grumbling whispers among the farmers, Xanneiros overheard things like “I think they use a lightning rod to strike at the storm” another person said “When it starts to freeze, they add an N … so instead of an ice day … we get a nice day.” And finally “I think they are fighters of Sir Nymbas of Cumulus, the legendary Dark and Stormy Knight.”

Lady Moonfire saw her opportunity and grabbed Jatree arm “Excuse me everyone … but I must talk to our storm slayers” before any of the farmer asked more questions. She hurried the three into the small town hall and closed the door.

“Oh, I’m glad you three arrived. I cannot thank you enough.” She said to Jatree mainly.

“Our pleasure” Jatree said “may I introduce Kronos and Xanneiros”

Lady Moonfire greeted everyone and then explained the mission she needed them to go on.

“We would be in your debt if you find the source of this unnatural winter” asked Lady Mooonfire “if conditions continue as they have, the crops will die in the fields and Loudwater’s next Deadwinter Day Festival will be a lot more than symbolic! I suggest you start by investigating the Draigdurroch Tower, near the Dire Wood. Considering the tower’s history, I can’t imagine this cold is a coincidence. I’m sure that Curuvar can tell you more. Honestly, thirty years is far too long to wait … someone should explore that tower anyway. I’m sure it will be a grand adventure!”

“Who is Curuvar?” Kronos asked.

“The town wizard, you can find him in the Magic shop and you might want to pick up a few cold resistance spells, potions, and scrolls” Lady Moonfire suggested.

Xanneiros glanced to Jatree when she had announced to the farmers that dealing with winter storms was their speciality and he was hoping she was mainly speaking for herself cause he had no idea what she was talking about. Hearing what she said next to the farmer who had questioned on how it was done Xanneiros decided best to remain still and look like he knew what she was talking about. The three were soon quickly pulled aside by Lady Moonfire to be better briefed on the mission at hand.

Having had answered Kronos' question Xanneiros had one for the young Lady as well. "What is it about the tower that makes you certain that the problem of this storm resides there, Lady Moonfire?" Lady Moonfire then looked to the young male warrior.
"About 30 years ago … a dwarf warlock named Draigdurroch came to the edge of Dire wood and built a tower over the site of a failed “deity”. He hoped to tie into leftover magic energy of the dead failed demigod. Turns out the Fey of Dire Wood knew if anyone got a hold of that power it could be bad … so they sealed the tower in a block of solid ice. I'm afraid that spell may have started to dissolve and is causing the snow storm." she finished with such worriment in her voice.

"Thank you Lady Moonfire, we appreciate that bit of information as it gives us a little more to better understand what we may be up against." Xanneiros says with sincerity bowing before her Lady. The three then set off to the magic shop to meet Curuvar. As the three approach the magical shop they realize that it is slightly small for a well built centaur to enter. Looking to him with empathy in their eyes Kronos sighs and slightly sulks to his own misfortune. Seeing nothing else they can do Jatree and Xanneiros start to head into the shop before being stopped by Kronos. "Wait." the centaur says before rummaging through his own pack taking out a miniature pouch. "As part of the agreement." he says walking to Jatree and handing her the pouch. Jatree takes it with confusion on her face. "All expenses are to be shared within the group." Kronos reminded the adorable elf and her temporary time of forgetfullness.

"Oh yes! Of course! How silly of me!" she replied back with slight laughter at herself for her spacing out on that little deatil. Now entering the shop Xanneiros stops behind Jatree as she moves forward already familiar with what would be inside and he never having been in a magic shop before looks around seeing the various magicals items ranging from enchanted pendants to staves of all shapes and sizes. Finally glancing back to Jatree looking into a jewlery case Xanneiros thinking it best to not stray far from her walks up beside her.

"See anything you like?" he asks her as he bends over slightly looking at what she sees. "There are some very nice enchanted items that can ward off any type of ice spell brought upon us." Jatree responds before glancing to Xanneiros' covered chest imagining what it would look like to see him shirtless. "I know it's not very manly but you could probably get away with wearing a pendant around your neck and have it hidden under your shirt." Jatree suggested. Xanneiros looked to her like she was out of her mind. "Let's take a look around first and see what else they have." he replied in kind not wanting to be completely rude.

Having browsed the many of items in the shop both Jatree and Xanneiros have decided on the items they could afford and would best suit them for their mission. Knowing Jatree was most knowledgeable in this department Xanneiros used her advice wisely when picking his items. As they approach the counter a young character turns quickly from the salesmen and bumps into Xanneiros causing them to fall back on their behind. "Watch where you're going you bloody oaf!" a female voice yelled out. "I'm so sorry!" Xanneiros apologized as he hunched over offering a helping hand to the lady.

"I can help myself, thank you very much!" the young woman yelled back as she shot herself straight up off the floor smacking the young warriors hand away and giving him an evil look before realizing who he was. "Selena?" Xanneiros says softly enough only the woman in question can hear him. He looked the young woman over noticing her wearing a hooded two piece that had a covering mask and two black shoulder guards that went along her arms her hands with black gloves, a black top that was parted from the rest of her attire that laced across her breasts showing a bit of cleavage but was much more modest then what he has seen Jatree wear with knee high boots over black pants that too laced across her outer thighs. Taking the last look of her he noticed that she still dawned a bow and arrow as it was strapped to her back along with a quiver full of arrows.

Jatree walked into the shop … it was amazing … it was full of collectibles and oddities gleaned from places all around the world. A lot more magical items than she had expected. She had found anti-cold pedants and cold resistant potions. She also picked up a lot of healing potions “These are always useful” she said to Xanneiros. Finally, she found three bottles of liquid fire … a naughty smile crossed her lips “these could also be useful!” she said to herself. She got ready to pay for the items when Xanneiros and the young human lady collided.

"Watch where you're going you bloody oaf!" The female human said. Jatree watched as the two untangled, Xanneiros apologizing only to get his hand slapped. "I can help myself, thank you very much!" the young woman yelled back. Then recognition crossed each of their faces. They knew each other! Jatree did not like this at all. The human girl looked fit and sexy, too fit and sexy!!

“He is a bloody oaf …” Jatree agreed with the young woman as she slipped her arm around Xanneiros’ shoulder pulling him closer to her. “But not in bed … where he is fantastic! I’m so lucky he is with me!!” Jatree said kissing Xanneiros cheek. Before the young woman could say anything.

Curuvar the town wizard came out of the backroom. He looked just like an old wizard from a fairy tale. To include the long pointed hat and white beard.

“Ahh… you must be the visitors Lady Moonfire warned me about. Nice to meet you … I’m Curuvar … the Lady told me you have some doubts about the tower being the source of this unnatural winter … by Mystra’s lost spell, I’m certain that the tower must be connected somehow. Nobody knows what that dwarf Draigdurroch was researching or what triggered the calamity that encased his tower in ice, but any time powerful magic is involved, these events have a way of spiraling out of control. It appears the Dire Wood is drawing a lot of attention these days. Even if the tower isn’t the source of the problem, perhaps you can find a clue among the warlock’s notes or possessions. I’m certain they will be enlightening and very valuable!! It’s high time someone investigated all the ancient secrets in this area.”

At the words “very valuable” the young human’s eyes grew wider. Jatree did not notice that … but she did unwrapped her arm from Xanneiros shoulder “We already had decided to investigate the tower … if you could point us in the right direction we’ll be on our way.” Jatree commented.
