So, just imagine yourself browsing for smutty paperbacks. You see a cover, a montage of Hollywood images, perhaps some glamorous, perhaps some titillating. Which of these potential titles most makes you want to read the book? Don't think too hard about it. It's the instant reaction that I'm looking for.

While I wholeheartedly welcome any feedback on your thought processes below, please vote quickly before reading any of anyone else's comments as I don't want the poll to be tainted. Again, it's that instant first thought that I'm trying to gauge.

Thank you so much for participating. :)

I've been roughly planning a made-up story of an actual player in 1920's-30's Hollywood, a set designer who witnesses and enjoys the era's depravity. A title is still elusive. Good luck with yours.

PS: I went for #1.

If you want to write a period piece, then Hollywood in the '20s is fertile ground for erotica.

Number 1. Neither of the other two conveys anything. I can't picture anything in my mind from reading those titles. The first puts a picture in my head, and I can decide from that picture whether I want to look more closely at the book.

Precisely. Easy money, fast cars, pervo sex, legal drugs, wild music -- and a dreamy cast of seamy characters.

None of the above is my first reaction.

Lots of room for imagination there, depraved or otherwise. You could really work the style of the era, the clothes, that cars, the dancing.

Thank you. This is precisely the type of blunt feedback that I'm looking for.

I actually wanted to add 'none of the above' as an option but had already posted the poll and could not find how to edit it. I did have the notion that perhaps none of them would be all that grabby, so thank you for mentioning this.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I'll keep checking in.

I was drawn to #3. It leaves me wondering what it might imply..and the 'Bitch' term left me thinking it's just more mindless unbelievable porn. Looks like the poll isn't helping to clarify much  Although at this point #1 seems to be winning, with #3 coming around the rail looking strong ;)

Reading your OP I thought of Howard Hughes and his Hollywood years. So the title HOLLYWOOD IS WHERE YOU GO TO GET FUCKED, AND HOW.

Yes, I was hoping to have a more cerebral title, but I don;t want to end up with something that just doesn;t connect with anyone.
