Sanders raised upwards of $4 million

BTW, I thought the DNC rules were changed so that Bernie couldn't run under the D ticket any longer.

Yep, I was right.

So, how can he run on the D ticket as a "socialist"?

From your link:

The Democratic National Committee said on Tuesday that it planned to meet in the coming week with the presidential primary campaigns and distribute a form to the candidates, who under bylaws agreed on last August will be required "to affirm in writing" that they "are a member of the Democratic Party, will accept the Democratic nomination" and "will run and serve as a member of the Democratic Party."

If Bernie signs that pledge, he's commits fraud.

Vermont has no requirement for party affiliation. Bernie is an Independent member of Congress. In the past he has explicitly stated he is not a Democrat.

He is not a Democrat by word or deed or affiliation. Unless he changes his party affiliation officially, him saying he is a Democrat is a fraud on the people and members of the Democratic party.

Socialist in this case is an ideological label, not a party label.

I assume that what the DNC is trying to avoid here is a repeat of what Sanders has traditionally done in Vermont senate races: win the Democratic nomination and then decline that nomination.

And this is the guy a lot of people think should be President?

Lots of dittoheads believed Dump to be the best thing since sliced bread. Why? Because he mirrors their hateful behavior and ignorance. The assholes have come out of their woodwork.

You know, you don't have to like the guy or agree with his policies, but you can't argue with the fact that the people believe the economy is better, the future is looking better, and he's popular with your neighbors.

It's like there's a new band on stage and you personally don't get their sound so you're trying to tell everyone they should leave and demand their money back without even considering that maybe they like the music they're hearing.

And, of course, you think they're stupid morons for liking what they like...

Sanders is at least consistent. He misses more votes than most Senators but he voted with the GOP against Sanctions for Russia on every single occasion bar none.

So much for his concern about Russian interference in the election.

Give me ten minutes to fix my past returns...

Uncle Bern used to rail against taxing millionaires and billionaires.
Now he only rails against billionaires.
So? I wrote a book!
Fair share???
I paid.

Sure, let's attack the ones who actually made their tax returns public.

Simpleton.

What is a "Dittohead?"

Hey, if you're going to air your dirty laundry in public, you should be expecting people to comment on it. Both good and bad.

making tax returns public

is

voluntary

do deal with it

we didnt care in 16, we dont care now

why should a PVT PERSON make it public?

Trump just hired a new legal team, to fight his taxes being public. If you have nothing to hide, wouldn't you just show it and get it over with?

The more work he spends hiding his tax returns, the more suspicious we become.

So, if you have nothing to hide, where are your personal financial details posted for everyone to see? Let's see your tax returns. C'mon, where they at?

Of course, you can always try to shield yourself behind that thing called the 4th Amendment. But, like you said, if you have nothing to hide...

I am not the POTUS. He is employed by us.

And he's sticking it to a decades long tradition, in the process.

And your point is?

You do realize that the "tradition" isn't law, or that other Presidents since the "tradition" began have also not released their returns. Yes?

What makes Trump so special he has to be singled out for scrutiny? Merely running for office is not, nor should it be, a waiver of Constitutional Rights and protections. Nor should wanting to remain a private person financially be a reason for social stigma.
