I remember someone telling me that bananas were not my best choice as a fruit.
That eating one was counting as 2 fruits. Good to know they aren't so bad.:)

Having one is absolutely recommended, especially if you're engaged in moderate to high activity. It's not as watery as most other fruits, so the carb count is slightly higher. I usually have one 40 minutes - 1 hour before working out.
 
If you're on a low-carb diet then that's one thing. But most diets can easily accommodate a medium-sized banana.

You can always chop it up and throw it into the blender to go with your almond milk. If you're into using supplements (like protein shakes), it makes for a great chocolate / banana smoothie.

Make sure to invest in one of those hangers for bananas. Target sells them pretty cheap, and they go a long way in keeping them fresh. Buy them when they're still pretty green, and eat them before they turn completely yellow.
 
Bought some wheat germ today but haven't used them in my smoothies yet.
