Aussies! Check in here!

Happy New Year aussies! All the very best of love, life and health for 2014 to you all :)

I ended up going to my daughters place.... drank far too much, ate caveman food, laughed with friends and family... and saw the fireworks.
Stayed up till about 3am, woke up at 7 and cleaned up my daughters house before coming home.
A good night :)

I have definite hoarder tendencies. I can't stand waste. I have enough books to sink the Bismark and do reread them. I am happy to give things away to good homes. I came from a recycling, tie it up with wire kind of home. I have been very good lately with getting rid of stuff. But I love my book shelves full and vintage stuff. I have lots of pillows. :D I push them aside to sleep but use them to read (not that I've had time for that, lately ) I dread moving.

Hey Trisk

Nice eyes... damn I'm surrounded by beautiful women...hope the new year goes well for you.

Seems we're all trying to get rid of stuff for the new year.

I hate having things on tables and benchtops.... I like to be able to see my nice, shiny, clean surfaces! I am definitely not one for knicknacks and doilies and crap like that.
I also don't get the whole pile of pillows on the bed.... what's the point when you're just going to have to shift them all off in order to go to sleep?

And I never, EVER, keep anything that's broken 'because it can be fixed'.
'Fixed' never happens.

See now that's a women who knows what a guy wants in the bedroom...the fluffy pillow thing...the other is obvious...:rose:

Yeah not sure why you need seven pillows on the bed then have to throw most of them off to sleep, then put them back on again to make up the bed. No wonder we need bigger beds.

When I was looking for a house and came across the current one, the owner filled a double steel garage with lots of stuff, including a small caravan. No idea how he got in there. It is a large garage though. When they moved out I found that kind of hoarder stuff in the garage in some of the bench drawers. Must admit I do keep old fixtures and probably should throw them out but they have come in handy for doing maintenance on the house. Everything comes in a kit these days, can't just buy single bits.

Happy new year all.

Stayed Home, Watched the fireworks on TV, Waited on the missus to come home from her sisters who she was supposed to visit for 'just a few minutes'. Tucked her into bed Drunk as a skunk at 4am. Woke up at 8am for tablets (damn it) and spent day laughing at drunk wife.

Absolutely! Catching up is def on the list :)
Besides - I'll need someone with inside knowledge to sort out new hairdresser, good shoe stores, and where to get the best curry and sushi!

Ideally, I'd like to take a few days to do the trip and stop off and see everyone on the way!
Sadly, that's not so likely any more as not only do I have my kidlet travelling with me, but I also have my kitty.... and I think taking a few extra days where she'll have to stay crated would be cruel.

Sorry the kitty comment got me thinking of Are You Being Served with Mrs Slocome...you know the line..."Mrs Slocome why are you late"...reply "I've been up all night with my pussy" ....I can see you telling that storing as Mrs Slocome...."My pussy was crated up all the way up North, its not used to being locked away that long" .....

CadburyCat is in my bad books today. She objected most strenuously to me being gone all night and amused herself by moving all her cat bikkies to various locations around the house.
I've even found a few in my shower stall!
Wouldn't be so bad, except she has a demand-feeder..... and it holds a kilo of bikkies. It now has about half a cup as the rest were all over the house and had to be vacuumed up.
She must have worked all night

Evening all,

Happy New Year to all,

Christmas was lots of driving for me. Did a little over 390kms all up on Christmas Day. Lots of hours in the car therefore no real drinking for me so I filled up on food. Rather warm here in Vic for Christmas, very warm and not much cool breezes and bush fire warnings. Took a day and a bit to recover. Saw the cricket and the old enemy getting an arse kicking, less cocky they are now. They are a better side than that though. The next series should be a better contest. Good to see the Aussies getting some grunt back in their game.

Had our first 41 day last month in Melbourne town, up to mid 40s in part of the state on the same day. Just been through another warm spell and thankfully nice and cool today even some rain to cool things off.

Good to see people are finding their way to the new thread all thanks to WQ..big  and nipple lick for her.

Welcome to the new people. Hopefully this new thread will do as well as the old one..just gives us a chance to fill this one up as well so keep them posts a coming...or should that be cuming?

Looking forward to a quiet time before I get back to work later this month. Lots of gardening as the main project this year oh and playing more video games and having more me time. Also looking forward to a change in the job situation one way or another..time to move on for me. Not quite..."you can take this job and shove it"..but fucking close. May need to have a camera handy to capture the look of surprise on their faces in a couple of months.

Hope the rest of week goes well for all.

Well you know the old saying....a scorned pussy is a cold pussy....give her something that sparkles I hear that usually works...:D...or just admit you were wrong even if its not your fault....no time for logic...dogs will always forgive

Happy New Year, to all the Aussies out there. Out with the old and in with the new, Bring on 2014 and we will see how we go.

Happy New Year, Mr Elf.

Hope the travel was offset by good company at Christmas. And I hope you achieve great satisfaction from finishing the projects you set yourself this year.

I'm finding poota games less and less interesting these days. Trying to find more time to read. More time away from work would be nice. Days off that really are off. Not resolutions, just acknowledgement of things off track.

Hope your job situation resolves in your favour. You've been moving in this direction for a wee while. More you time, indeed. :)

Happy New Year, Aussies! :rose::kiss:

Great to see you Pert. :D I hope the rug rat is thriving and you're getting enough sleep.

Hi Ms Wind. Did you get your driveway finished?

WQ, I hope you are settling in, cat and biscuits and all. :D

Ginge, how are you going in the heat?

Taking my daughter north for Uni in a few weeks. Damn, I'm finding this one hard. Some things can be great and suck all at the same time.

Hiya trisk :)

I'm still in Tassie. Will be moving sometime around the end of Jan.
The last bits of cleaning/packing are taking me a bit longer to do as my elbow is almost useless - very swollen and unable to bend more than about 20 degrees. Makes everything take five times as long!
I'm almost at the point where I may hire someone to finish the heaviest stuff... gardening and cleaning the oven and windows.

Hope your 2014 is a safe and happy one for you and yours :rose:

ouch on the elbow WQ. Hope it is a heap better before you take off as driving with it like that would be more than uncomfortable, it would be downright agony.

Driving is ok as my beautiful old XD can literally be driven with one finger on the wheel :)
It's more a problem with doing anything that involves manual labour or lifting - and there's been a lot of that in the last couple of months.
Much as I don't want to, I think I have to go get another set of cortico-steroid injections in the joint. They hurt like all fuck.... but after that I get a couple of months of reduced pain. So I might book in for next week.

yeah those things feel like fuck for three days at least. Let alone that they shove a horse needle into your bone and tell you to 'please not move'.

I've now had so many that the needles themselves are like nothing. It's afterward that canes!
Hopefully, moving to Qld Will mean I get faster treatment than here. I've been on the waitlist for my operation for 2 yrs now.
When the federal gov't ripped $100million out of the Tassie health budget, it stuffed the entire system here.

hopefully it will be faster for you in QLD. My missus got her Knee half done (cartilage removed ) very quickly because of special circumstances and she was being seen by top doctors that pushed it through. Now she is on waiting list for recon but because she can walk again we are told 6 years. Her friend has been waiting to be seen by a doctor for 3 years even though her specialist recommended her for surgery 2 and a half years ago. This is SA.

If it turns out to be a long wait up there too, I may just do what I did with my son..... pay the surgeon and anaesthetist privately in a public hospital.
Mind you - this time I will have to get a loan as I pretty much cleaned out everything to pay his!

Salutations, felicitations and a little gropeage for the New Year.

Hello Aall

A flying visit to leave my helloes and fingerprints upon an unnamed Elfin one.

If you are going to bring out that camera Elfie lad, then I do have a request or two..;)

Hope that everyone had a wonderfully safe Christmas and celebrated the coming of the New Year in style if not moderation.

See that we in Brisvegas are not the only ones sweltering. I am threatening here to desert for cooler climes...I do so hate Brisvegas in summer..sighs.

Healing well and slowly regaining some mobility after the last of the surgeries....got my 12 month all clear from the Oncologist in December so a happy girlie this way....and greatly relieved. Just need the knee to regain full nerve function and movment and nothing will stop me. I am heading to England in June/July..so truly want to be able to wickedly wander the land of Geordies whilst there for the month working. Then I am off for the "tour de slut" of England before hitting Paris and Holland with my daughter who will join me in the former.

First though a little warm up trip down to the State of multi weather patterns and then New Zealand in the next 2 months.

Have a wonderful weekend and sin wickedly.
