Take a ride (on heavy metal) by Don Felder

While some people apparently gronked on the supposed female domination in this movie, I dug the songs and related to a lot of the scenes relating to the magazine (Heavy Metal). The B-17 was my favorite scene and song of the movie.

Fire it on up and let's cruise a while
Leave your troubles far behind
You can hedge your bet on a clean Corvette
To get you there right on time
Now if you're ready to dive into overdrive
Baby, the green lights are on
It's like you're running your brain on some high octane
Every time she reaches fully blown

Won't you take that ride on heavy metal?
It's the only way that you can travel down that road
Satisfied on heavy metal
Baby won't you ride, ride it until it explodes

Heavy metal

My oh my, how this lady can fly
Once she starts rollin' beneath you
You know you just can't lose, the way she moves
You wait for her to finally release you
It's not a big surprise to feel your temperature rise
You've got a touch of redline fever
'Cause there is just one cure that we know for sure
You just become a heavy metal believer

Won't you take that ride on heavy metal?
It's the only way that you can travel down that road
Satisfied on heavy metal
Baby won't you ride, ride it until it explodes

Heavy metal
Heavy metal
Heavy metal...

Eurythmics - Thorn in my side
https://youtu.be/SY5I3Awf2-U

Ooh, that brings back teen heartache!

"Thorn in my side, that's all you ever were"

I was so angry and sad and I so wanted it to be true.
It wasn't though.

Águas de Março by Stan Getz and João Gilberto.

I've posted this somewhere before already, probably this very thread, but this is such a good song, often slushes around in my head and always makes me happy that it deserves to be posted again. Such light clarity. Love it.

And the riverbank talks of the waters of March,
It's the promise of life
It's the joy in your heart

Want to Want Me

Jason Derulo

"In the back of the cab, I tip the driver 'head of time,
Get me there fast, I got your body on my mind
I want it bad, just the thought of you
Gets me so high, so high"
