*Charges through door, throws bolt, stands panting with back to door*

Man, the nutcases are out in force today! Quick, someone open a bottle of Chianti . . .

OK Bear, just chill a mo whilst I open the bottle for you;
There ya go.

Does anyone else want a drink ?

Is that it? I was wondering. Brrrr . . . I'm just going to take this magnum glass and settle down in front of the fire. I may surface eventually but for right now, I'm in hiding.

If you need some sort of body-guard, I'm sure the Dragon will oblige, for a small fee (probably in kind).
Have another glass;

I'll have a Plum Brandy. Anyone else while I'm here ?

Me. I always want something, HP. Thanks, I'll have whatever is open.

I won't tell anybody where to find you, Bear. Shhh.

Damn, that was good. I'd take another but I'm supposed to do a fasting blood work tomorrow and don't want to upset anything. However, Thursday evening? Wahoo!

If anyone is in the market for a new cookbook, some food porn that is actually useful, I recommend Thomas Keller's new Ad Hoc at Home. It's by the man generally acknowledged to be the finest chef in America and arguably in the world. Unlike some of his former books which, while beautiful, are just plain intimidating, this is "home possible" cooking. I've got his Roast Chicken on a Bed of Vegetables in the oven right now and HM and I are both drooling all over ourselves.

Have tried his recipes from the Top Chef Masters. He's wonderful!

Sounds good, but I made my great-grandmother's stroganoff tonight and it was to die for.
