So the international court ruling was obviously more of a 'suggestion'
Why do we even have an Internation Court?

Honestly, if they were eating the meat, I probably wouldn't mind so much. But they're not - there are chiller warehouses full of meat that has been there for years and is now only good as pet food :(

They should be studying that radioactive floating shit pile they're shipping across the Pacific.

Research my ass! All about eating whale! You want to eat whale, just say so! Don't fuck us around! You're not fooling anybody. In fact the Japanese lose much face from this. Shameful.

Ultra cool! Sea Shepherd has a ship called the Farley Mowat. And a sister ship Jules Verne. Two decommissioned US Coast Guard ships. Thanks US Coast Guard!

Farley Mowat was a great Canadian writer. An icon! A very good read, can't recommend highly enough to put on a reading list. Especially for outdoor or eco types.

That's just it - they don't eat all they catch.
A media friend of mine is in Japan and he did an article a couple of years ago and found several chiller storage facilities filled to the brim with old whale meat.
I will try and find the link.

Ever read his book "the grey seas under"? Great book!
And his "the boat that wouldn't float" is a riot.
I even like his book about his war experiences.
Good stuff

Isn't there a Moby Dick movie coming soon?

You probably mean 'In the Heart Of the Sea'. Due for release shortly. It's the true life story that Melville based his classic 'Moby Dick' upon.

Basically a pissed off sperm whale decides it will give bunch of whalers a bit of a smack, sinks their whaling ship and the survivors turn to cannibalism to survive. The book on which the film is based, written by one of the survivors, was a sensation in its day.
