Yay!!

Rolf, Olaf, be a couple of dears and bring out the cake. No, don't worry about the streamers. Just get the cake and try not to shake the sparkling wine.

*hug* I'm so happy for you, john! Congratulations. :)

Well Done, lad.
:)

Thanks  *big hugs*

I officially start as a full time employee in just over a week. Will probably put in my notice with the contracting agency tomorrow. Benefits will start November 1st, so I don't have to wait too long. Will have to actually pay for parking, but that's alright.

The only bad news is that I got a letter from my landlord stating that they're raising the rent $100. *sigh* Good thing that there is a huge pay increase coming.

You got cake and sparkling wine, anna?:heart: *tackle hugs and*:kiss:

Whoo-hoo, John! That's excellent! Congratulations! :rose::rose::rose:

Pass the cake, after John's had a slice, please. I need a pick me up.

Thanks  *big hugs*

Oooof!! You're welcome.

Yeah, the rent increase sucks, but it could have come a few months ago. ;)

Well if the landlady gets unpleasant about the rent, you should be able to afford another place with the raise. Tell me, is the downtown scene in Seattle anything like Portland's? Good place for a single, I suspect. Things going on all over the place.

Well done, mate. Thoroughly deserved... :D

Morning HP.

End of the week coffee, for you nine to fivers.

Doctors appointment for me.

Good morning, Nakeds. Thank you, HP, for sending Rolf around with top-ups.

Ooh, we had another brief appearance from steve!

Doctor's appt, Tx? Hope it's just a standard check-up and that things go smoothly.

I think we have a problem with our Postal Service; it used to be damned good and very efficient. These days, it's a load of admin junk.

I sold some stuff on E-Bay. I have anasty feeling I have lost on the deal; the postal charges were higher than I thought.
Drat, double Drat and Blast!

Doctor's appointment was a three month A1C check up so I had to go see the vampire for a blood draw. I'm another that hates needles.

While there waiting to see the doctor, I got to thinking. That by itself is a dangerous thing. I figured out that if I was a car, I'd have at least 134,000 miles on me. Probably a hell of a lot more if the truth were told. :D

Oh, that's not good. However, that reminds me that I need to print up shipping rate labels for my party order forms....

Good morning, everyone. Is there still coffee available?

Thanks, steve. :)
Oh, I think there's always coffee in here.

I'm so glad I don't have to see my vampires anymore.

Considering some of the adventures you've had Tx, I think that might be a low estimate. ;)

So we have ourselves a good news/bad news scenario. The good news is, the tests all came back mostly normal. The bad news is some level of something in my blood is elevated, so I'm definitely fighting off an infection of some kind. They just don't know what it is. So I'm kindly being passed on to an infectious disease specialist.

So, I need whisky! (spelled properly in case Naoko comes by. ) And lots of it! Who's drinking with me on this lovely Friday night? :catroar:

Well, that's still better news than it could have been, so... yay. I will definitely join you in a drink, shea. Rolf, a Jack and coke please?

Okay, seriously, am I the only one here who has to double-check the spelling on "coke" everytime?

Maybe? How else would you spell it? :D

And yes, it could be worse. So, Yay! And, Whisky!

Umm, I don't know? ;)

Now we'll just wait for you to see the specialist and get better news. More Jack and Coke!

Oh, training, product launch and a party tomorrow!! :catroar:

I'm having some Jameson's. Mmmm!

Ooh, a party and product launch! I still can't decide what to purchase. We'll have to discuss ...

I actually have a chronic bone infection, but I haven't needed treatment for it in ... at least 9 years. I suppose this could be related, but I would think if that infection had reactivated, I would be in extreme pain like I was before. So ... who know? I'm totally over it.

Yes, we can certainly discuss. PM me with some more specific thoughts if you like. I'll have LOTS of information after tomorrow. :)

I get what you mean about the extreme pain, so yeah, there's some question there. At the same time, it kinda makes a weird sense that they might be related. Then again, I'm not a doctor. I've only played one....

Yeah, I'm finally coming to that conclusion. I do not want to go back to that time, it was truly horrible. But I was 20/21, and I just dealt with it and lived my life and didn't let the pain or the constant IV antibiotics or the home nurses or any of it keep me from doing what I wanted. Bring a med kit and IV pole with me on spring break? Of course! Why wouldn't I? Lol. But I don't think I could do that again. The pain was, obviously, the worst part of it, so minus that, I'm ok with the idea, I guess.

It's just strange, because it was such a huge part of my life, and all my doctors were aware of it. Now, because it's been so long, and I have all new doctors, no one is really clued in. I mean, it's in my chart, but it might not be top of mind for the doctors I have now, y'know? I'm trying to find the infectious disease doctor I worked with back then, but it was 20 years ago, and who knows if he would remember or still have my info. Also, my mom and I are in disagreement over who is in possession of my old medical file and CT scans. I hope I'm right and she has them! :eek:/:D

I will PM you after tomorrow with some more specific questions on your product line, absolutely. ;)
