I am working on chapter 7 of my series Agatha Allbut and the Bimbo Squad. Here is the premise so far:

Aggie attends a pimps and hoes party put on by the sisterhood. Meets Beatrix (an 80+ year old lesbian) who tells Aggie thas she reminds her of her late Life partner.

The next day Beatrix surprises Aggie in her dorm, who drops her books on her foot breaking it. Lars goes to dorm to talk to Aggie to try and repair their relationship sees handsome 30 something guy (Beatrix driver) carry Aggie out of dorm and into a Caddy and drives away.

Doc tells Aggie she needs bedrest. Beatrix has Aggie move into her house while she recovers. Lars goes back to dorm ready to fight for Aggie and is told same guy who carried her out packed all her stuff and took it away. coed says she thinks Aggie and this guy got married.

With Aggie living in Beatrix house, and the way Beatrix takes care of her, and the emotions I built up in the story for Beatrix towards Aggie they are probably going to have sex soon.

I have two concerns about this...

1. What is the raction by readers to granny porn?

2. I've never written or been interested in granny porn. I have no idea how it works (or even if it works?) or if there's anything that can't be done due to age flexability etc...

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
 
As a 61-year-old woman, I find the term "granny porn" moronic, crass, and demeaning. Just saying. You asked. :)
 
I'd find the novelty of the idea refreshing and interesting. Old people deserve to have sexual experiences, too.
 
The best way to gauge what reaction might be is to post it and see what the reaction is.

Lesbian action is what i see this heading to from you synopsis. Your younger readers might have groaning moment but I don't see a problem. Older women are sexual, believe me. At my age, I have the scars to prove it. Since your story to this point seems to be college age, you're going to have to work to make your "Granny" sexy and loving.

She seems to be a take charge woman already if she moved the young lady in lock stock and barrel. Go from there. It's all character development.

No offense was intended. I have seen banner ads for sites with videos of older white haired ladies and the ads use the term Granny porn. I assumed that was the term for this fetish.

Pilot- I was hoping that someone had written an story about an orgy in a nursing home or something, and would have some tidbits to offer to make my scene believeable. I ws also hoping they would share how there take on sex among seniors was recieved. Not usre how many people are interested in sex with an 80 something year old.

That being said I know sex among seniors is gong strong. In Central Florida there is a community for 55 and up only. It's called The Villages, and it has the highesst incidence of STD's in the state.

I agree. Backing the age down to the mid to late 60's might be better if possible. Although, i have a story in work that deals with an 80 year old but she was the mistress at a whorehouse all her life. The stories are all in the past but she's not dead so...
 
Ldy_Sea - if you don't mind wading through some zany ideas along with the good suggestions, I'd recommend posting a request for brainstorms in the Story Ideas forum.

I've already established that The Sisterhood was founded in the 1950's, by lesbian to give lesbians a safe place to meet and mingle without risking being found out, since being out loud and proud at that time was unacceptable. This means she had to be in her 20's. Simple math means that she was born in the 30's.

If I make her 20 years younger, she'd be in college in the 70's when
"alternative" lifestyles were gaining acceptance. Since being homosexual at that time didn't mean automatic expulsion from school etc... creating a secret society of lesbians wouldn't have been worth the effort.

At that time any gay group would have been more open, working to change anti-gay laws and to end discrimination. Whereas in the 50's keeping their lifestyle secret was imortant since being outed would mean expulsion from school, fired from a job, housing denied, and the list goes on...

Then 80 it is. I remember an old say from my grandfather. Son, you may get too old to cut the mustard but you can still lick the bowl. He was in his mid 70's at the time. Like I said earlier, she's a take charge lady. let her take charge. I don't know your age but at mine, slow and easy goes a long ways.

It's easy to structure stories for young grannies & greats. Posit a society or clan (without writing lurid underage details) where girls are regularly impregnated as soon as they reach puberty. Mother at 14, grandma at 28, great-granny at 42, great-great at 56, et fucking cetera. (Unlike my daughter who waited till she was 40 for pregnancy.) So let's have some great-great-great-granny sex stories. Would they be great? :rolleyes:

That was my first reaction.
It's not granny porn, it's just porn. Age (unless it's illegal), is irrelevant.

I'm gonna have to disagree. If you write a story about a 112 year old man having group sex with the local college cheerleading team, and giving them all massive orgasms...

Age does matter in that the older you get there are some things a person can't do. Even at my age, which is not yet Sr Citizen level, there are things I can't or won' do because of the limitations of my body.

The spirit is willing, the flesh is weak.

Not true at all. Or terms like MILF and cougar wouldn't exist. Or the thousands of "mature" categories at porn sites. Maybe it's irrelevant to you, but not to the teeming millions of smut consumers out there.
 
Since a young lad,i have always enjoyed older,and very old ladies.not all admittedly enjoy sex,but can still be fun to be with,many however do enjoy sex,well into their 80s,as i know only too well,..
Pleasure does not go away,as you get older,most will still enjoy a good,meal,wine,art ,tv,and wonderful scenery,so why not sex,it's just sometimes a little different,because of old age,but still good,there are many more older widows,who after a lifetime of sexual relations,probably miss physical sex,these wonderful ladies are underused,and should be appreciated.
Every lad should have an older lover,at some time,and why not an exsperiances granny( no its not an insulting word,but an honour for most ladies)

A number of "elder sex" plot bunnies hop around in front of me, mostly with an empowered Granny calling the shots. But I'll save those for Story Ideas.
 
My intention with Mary and Alvin is to chart a relationship over the principle's lifetimes. It will be a while before they become elderly, but they will, and I will be testing those waters then. The story is more romance than porn, but there is at least some sexual content in each chapter.

I have not given a lot of thought to the nature of their sex lives when they are older(and there is a significant age gap between them), but at some point, I'll be learning how readers respond.

It brings up something my wife mentions from time to time.

The cougar/cub older man younger woman stories are big and both turn a lot of people on.

The age difference seems to be generally the older half being 40ish the younger half their age.

Now people in their forties can still look damned good. That can carry into 50's depending on the person's diet, exercise, genetics etc..

But sooner or later one person becomes 'elderly' and shows it. now you have a 50 year old with a 74 year old...suddenly not so sexy.

Of course at that point to be together that long there is love involved, but fact is that beyond the sex, its a given the older person is going to pass away long before the other and its an interesting dynamic to think about.

All good points, and I am looking forward to addressing them. I created the age difference between my characters not because it's something I am into personally, but because it created so many interesting issues. I would not do it anywhere other than in Romance.

I do think that there will be opportunities to include some erotic content through reminiscences. "As Mary emptied Alvin's bedpan she thought back to the night they spent..." That sort of thing.
 
My mom is in her seventies and just yesterday she flirted her way inside a place without paying the cover. People don't stop being sexual after a certain age and as long as your characters are believable, I don't think it should be a problem.
 
For inspiration on how love and sex between an octogenarian and a twenty something can be beautiful and sexy I would suggest watching the film Harold and Maude, if you haven't seen it already.
A well written story can illustrate that sex between even the most diverse couples can be romantic and engaging.
