Seeing as how the shuttle is right in my front yard practically- and it's loud - I must have been zonked. And the night launches are awesome to see.

I am totally envious. You must have some great pics. I'd love to see them.

Inspireme I agree with you, but the quality coming out of china/india i wouldnt say is top-notch

unfortunately - I am camera challenged - I cannot take any good pictures. I will not have any pictures of my grandchildren when they are grown. I got a new phone with a camera and still haven't mastered that. I do seem to take a lot of pictures of my feet as I try to check my phone messages.

I did "try" to take a picture of the last night launch and it looks like a lightbulb - I wish I had that talent but sadly I do not....

Tweetygal: It doesn't help that those night shots are the most challenging. You just need a good point and shoot camera. Then all you have to do is frame your subject, hold down the shutter release long enough for the camera to focus and then depress it while holding the camera still.

Thanks for that. Sadly this will probably be our last night launch for Cape Canaveral. But I could work on my photography skills for the grandkids. I would love to have a collage (sp?) of sorts for each of them.... cause they are the most beautifullest don't you know - lol. And even though I just have the digital camera - nothing fancy - it would be interesting to invest in something a little more photography friendly....

My niece recently gave me her old digital camera since she got a new one. I guess technology wise, it's probably a dinosaur. But for starting out, it's just fine. I take it with me on the bicycle trails when I go riding. I've taken some pretty good shots, and of course, some not so good shots.

Tweetygal, kc is correct. Get a basic, decent quality point and shoot. It will take much better pics than your phone camera too.

mwmnpa thats what i did for my daughters who wanted digital cameras , i have into technology for 30+ years, my problem is it would be nice to have a real nice digital slr, but god its like costing a fortune, so i will probably buy a point and shoot nikon or canon...

Ace, you would probably know better than I would.

I just want to get some nice outdoor shots when I'm riding.

Maybe I'll post some snow pics tomorrow. LOL!

Oh yeah - snow pics - I was wondering when all you snow people would share - you know what they say - there's no man like a snowman - lol...

I need to find my long ago email from a florida friend of why I live in Florida - lots and lots of snow and interesting "snow people"

mwmnpa, i like all pics, camera really doesnt make a difference as long as the person taking the pictures is happy with it. I happen to like Canons, I have 3 - 35mm's , so at one time I was pretty addicted to photography, now I am to busy developing software in business. btw, i think outdoors pictures are great. Person pics are also great...

Sounds like fun. If we have snow in Texas, I expect most of the Northern part of the country is probably covered by now. Wish I could join you in the Park. Sounds like fun.

Oh, 62 years young and also very active.

this is crazy weather .it has actually snowed here in florida and just now we had a severe storm with potential tornadoes but it has passed but its cold and I would rather be outside on a warm beach or hitting a little white ball around. but if the weather stays well this weekend I will be at daytona ..yippee!

50 and over

Wife and I are in our late 50's living in New Jersey. We would love to find a single man and or women who would like to play MFM or FMF with us. Clean guys with a great imagination would be most welcome. Send us a pm and let us know where this can go.....:)
