When Republicans passed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in December, congressional Democrats denounced the legislation as a reckless attempt to help wealthy corporations at the expense of everyone else. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., famously dismissed the law’s benefits to most taxpayers as “crumbs.”

Six months later, many of the groups Pelosi and other Democrats warned would be worse off as a result of the tax reform legislation — including minorities, women, and small businesses — are not only thriving, they are experiencing some of the most notable economic growth in the country's history....

As difficult as it may be for Pelosi and other advocates of higher taxes and more government control to admit, the successes of the Republican tax reform legislation clearly illustrate that when people are empowered to keep more of their own money, everyone in society benefits.
J. Haskins, Six months in, tax cuts are already providing historic gains for minorities, women, and small businesses, Washington Examiner (Jul. 3, 2018).

Walgreens is investing $150 million to raise it’s in store wages and build community health initiatives thanks to the GOP's Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

“We will be making select incremental investments of around $150 million in fiscal 2019, mainly in store wages, but also to fuel our new community health care initiatives,” said Walgreens CFO James Kehoe. “And you can view these in light of the favorable tax reforms in the US.”

In December, the Republican Congress passed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. The bill contained numerous pro-business reforms including full business expensing and cutting the corporate tax rate from 35% to 21%. Not a single Democrat voted for the bill.

Companies across the United States have responded positively to the tax cuts by passing on benefits to employees, customers, and local communities. Walgreens is the latest company to announce that they will be using their tax savings to help their employees and community.
A. Marone, GOP Tax Cuts Boost Walgreens Wages, ATR (Oct. 12, 2018).

For a general survey of some key benefits of the recent tax reform, see, S. Hackbarth, Tax Reform Nine Months In: 600 Businesses (and Counting) Offer Raises, Bonuses, USCC (Sep. 21, 2018).

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act has been one of the strongest and boldest reforms of President Donald Trump’s first term in office. According to analysis from The Heritage Foundation, the tax law will give hardworking Americans tax breaks in every congressional district and in every state.

Across the nation at large, the average American will take home on average $1,400 more of their paycheck in 2018. For married couples with two children, that figure doubles to just under $3,000.

While higher-taxed districts will see more in dollar savings as a result of the tax cuts, they are certainly not the only winners from the Trump tax cuts. In fact, lower-income districts will feel more relief in their tax burden, as they will see a higher percentage of their taxes cut than Americans in higher-income areas.

For example, in New York’s 15th Congressional District, tax filers on average will notice a decrease of over 30 percent in their tax bill in 2018.

All across the country, the manifestations of this policy are quite impressive. Americans are better off from the tax cuts because they get to keep a larger portion of their paychecks. Moreover, the changes in tax rates are providing better economic incentives leading to even higher paychecks.

Lower tax rates mean businesses invest more and consequently demand more labor. Greater labor demand means that businesses hire more workers and increase wages. As a result, American workers get a bigger piece of a bigger economic pie.

As a result, Texas’ 7th Congressional District can expect to see on average $35,000 more in take-home pay over the next 10 years. By the same year, a family of four in Virginia’s 10th Congressional District should enjoy an average of almost $70,000 of their own money back in their pocket. This money can then be spent on daycare, college tuition, or retirement savings, among many others.

Unfortunately, some in Congress have called to undo this tax reform, which would effectively wipe out the benefits of the law. According to our analysis, the cost of repealing the tax cuts in 2020 would be an average of $26,906 in lost income gains over the following 10 years. For a family of four, that cost would be over $45,000.

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is allowing Americans in every community across the nation to take home more of their paycheck. Congress should not only keep the law in place but should also work toward making the law permanent well before the its current 2025 “sunset” date.
K. Dayaratna & R. Hein, Here’s How the Tax Cuts Are Helping Americans in Every State, Heritage Foundation (Oct. 29, 2018), citing K. Dayaratna, P. Sheppard & A. Michel, Tax Cuts in Every Congressional District in Every State, Heritage Foundation (Jul. 23, 2018).

You know what I find to be (in a really sick, disgusting sort of way) funny?

Trump (and his Republican accomplices) were told that their tax-cuts for their rich buddies would dramatically increase the federal deficits and the national debt. They were all like, "No they won't! The tax-cuts will pay for themselves!"

The Republicans were lying of course, and Trump is creating massive deficits and adding historic debt.

Instead of admitting that we can't afford these massive giveaways to millionaires and billionaires, the Republicans are all like, "Oh shit! Massive deficits! We better steal trillions of dollars from Social Security and Medicare to pay for our reckless tax cuts!!"

The hypocrisy was always there. It has nothing to do with the debt though. It has everything to do with race and everything to do with helping the GOP rich donors.

For example, when Bush II, Reagan, and the Orange Nazi ran up the debt the Republicans did...nothing. Find me a Republican who's against the massive surveillance state. You can't, because there aren't any. The cost doesn't matter. (There's, of course, hypocrisy there too because the GOP is all about freedom! Unless, the NRA is taping brown people's phones, then they're all for it.) Of course when Obama simply continued Bush's policies in the war on terror AND saved the economy from Bush's horror show management of it what happened? Republicans suddenly cared about the debt. Republicans didn't even blink when Bush ran up gave away billions to bailout Wall Street. Eternal left wing boogie man George Soros was against the bailout. What's the difference? Well gee, was Bush II the whitest Bush?

Trump's history of lying about everything, but most especially his wealth, is well documented. It's not a shock that the tax bill benefited him personally to the tune of $15 million.

Racists like dawn, joe, bot, box, etc. all pretend they care about fiscal responsibility but they don't give a shit. As long as the rich get richer and the poor brown folk get put in their proper place they could care less about the GOP's actual economic policy.

“This economy is on fire and jobs are being created,” and it’s all thanks to President Trump’s sweeping tax overhaul, according to former McDonald’s USA CEO Opens a New Window. Ed Rensi....

“Our economy is setting records on daily basis,” he said. “There has never been a better time for the American worker.”

And according to Rensi, confidence is skyrocketing.

“Everything about the economy has given people confidence,” he said. “People have confidence now that the investments they make are going to pay off. I see it in McDonald’s where they are remodeling restaurants like crazy.”
J. Limitone, Former McDonald's CEO: Trump tax cut ignites scorching economy, Fox Business (Nov. 6, 2018).

Poor racist dawn. Always gets caught using racist sources. I feel bad for "her" pretending to be a girl on the internet and getting caught. Getting unmasked as a racist. Not to mention all "her" alts coming after me. I haven't heard from racist joe, box, or any of your other alts in a while dawn. What's the matter? Did they get blocked from your Klan rally?

Whenever you feel like using a non-racist source we'd love to see it racist dawn.

Like I said going to be a shitty week for you.

it’s not as exceptionally robust as Trump has proclaimed, and as Bloomberg reports, many Americans feel that they aren’t personally benefitting from the recent uptick in growth. Bloomberg’s analysis of recent wage trends finds that the big wage increases Republicans promised would result from their tax cuts have yet to materialize. Instead, inflation-adjusted hourly earnings are now slightly lower than they were a year ago.

A new Legislative Fiscal Bureau memo showing that Wisconsin’s finances remain in excellent shape is just the latest reminder that prudent budget management and tax relief—not higher taxes and more spending—are the keys to ensuring prosperity for all....
Eight years of conservative fiscal management put us on a better path. Our state has seen eight consecutive budget surpluses, and the latest figures show a $2.4 billion cushion entering the next budget. During the same time that lawmakers enacted $8 billion in tax relief over the last eight years, tax collections have grown by 24 percent.

The MacIver Institute is a right-wing think tank. You might as well ask Gov. Walker's mother for a review.

WOW! I'm glad your not taking care of our Governments budget. Did you know that Obama added 8 TRILLION to our 22 TRILLION debt. That is what? like 70% over just his 8 years. And did the middle class get any richer? Did the rich get any poorer? I believe the problem here is, those pathetic Trump hating cable news stations that don't tell you how good the Economy is going. PLEASE PEOPLE watch FOX, the no.1 news channel for the last three years.

I wonder how would things work, if we all had the same amount of money? No rich, no poor.

Productive and ambitious people would develop and sell products and services other people wanted, so they would end up with more money. Yet, even though their greater wealth was a result of their own productivity, and gotten by providing a commodity or service others wanted and voluntarily purchased, they would be criticized for having that wealth.

The left will go to the ends of the Earth to smother the US economy with regulation and taxes in order to blame it on capitalism and impose their totalitarian command order economic system. Their ignorance in doing so will herald in a new Dark Age.

It really proves how ignorant, and stupid some of these left Democrats are. There is NO WAY! any of them have the brains to be our President. They are just throwing out all kinds of stupid shit, and sadly we have a lot of stupid voters that will believe their crap, and WITHOUT! them explaining any of their garbage.

Capitalism has given great benefits to society. The Bible tells us we should be observing it. It has led to the most impressive works on earth, fed and clothed a thriving population, and given great prosperity to large numbers of people.

Oops sorry, I meant slavery.

Except these aren't the numbers. And we've been over the fact at least three times now that MacIver is in the tank for Walker. And with ties to the Koch brothers.

Walker has lied about budget numbers before as well (to the tune of $1.6 billion dollars).

This isn't even factoring in the giant check he wrote to FoxConn (to the tune of $4.5 billion).

So no racist dawn the numbers aren't the numbers when they're made up. You really will believe anything the right tells you huh?
