I think a big part of it is the 'look of detest' and disinterest for me though. A lot of blackmail or slave stories will have the blackmailer train the would-be slave to like it or pretend to like it, which doesn't do it for me.

Intriguing thread. Yes, I like the idea of being "forced" too, but not in a clichéd way, involving lots of brutality or the conventions of BDSM. It's more a psychological rather than a physical thing. I don't necessarily like fantasies around blackmail as that seems a little artificial to me. IMO, this is a real turn on, and you've hit on the head how a good concept is usually degenerated into an average porn show of the usual 12 minutes of a by the numbers porn.

Notice in your example how the gold digging whore who gets caught demonstrates her blackmailed disgust by her facial expressions, because that's where it's at in this particular genre. It has to be maintained from start to finish, otherwise the coerced aspect falls to pieces. My brother still uses "the bed is the only place to watch tv from", and it works for him like gangbusters.
