Black and Latino unemployment rates are now at their lowest level on record.

[T]he unemployment rate hit 3.9 percent in April, the lowest level this century. At this rate, essentially every American who wants a job could find one. Keep in mind, the unemployment rate was more than double this level as recently as President Obama's second term in office.

Unemployment has dipped below 4 percent only a few times in U.S. history. Yet the underlying figures may be even more remarkable. Unemployment among blacks and Latinos fell to 6.6 percent and 4.8 percent, respectively, their lowest levels in recorded history — and half the rates of five years ago.

This historically low unemployment isn’t part of a natural pattern — like the weather — as some left-wing pundits imply. It’s a result of the pro-business public policies created and implemented by President Trump and Republicans in Congress.

I thought this thread would be about the Mummers and the primaries in Pennsylvania.

Not so good for a couple million People Of Color being deported. And their families.

We Elks dress funny too. Sometimes.

Are you saying at least 2,000,000 POC have been deported in the last 16 months?

So, if the standard is - deportations = racism, what do we make of the numbers so far?

8 years of Obama Administration: 3,080,195 deportees.

Trump (2017 FY, only year for which data is available): 226,119
Obama (2009 FY, first year in office for an apple to apple comparison): 391,283

Numbers are courtesy of the ICE Yearbook (they are required to publish yearly statistics available through a variety of websites and by subscription to academics and policy advocacy groups).

Those policy advocacy groups called Obama "The Deporter In Chief" for a reason.

You have proved to me that Obama is more racist than Trump.

How about getting rid of all racist politicians next time for a change?

I'm all aboard that train! Though, it would probably take a thousand hours to come up with a working definition of racist.

(Personally, I am very near an open borders person. I think people should show up at the border and we should ask them three questions. Are you going to get a job or start a business? Are you going to pay taxes? Are you a bad person? Then, we should issue a taxpayer ID, high five them, and send them on. The net economic gain from immigration is reason enough for me - and as for the security thing, well folks are gonna be good or gonna be bad, and we let the normal law enforcement mechanisms catch them based on what they do. Then we send them to Canada. Because Canada is the Fount of All Evil).

Right now, there are produce growers all over the United States who would be happy just to get a yes to the question "Will you pick my fruit/vegetables so I can get them to market since I can't get Americans to do it?"

The Trump administration doesn't think too good (on much of anything).

Many years ago, I and many other Americans like me referred to ourselves as fruit tramps, because we travelled about the state working on the fruits and vegetables you mention. It was hard work and paid poorly, but we did it because we needed to survive. Later, many fruit tramps quit doing that work because it was more lucrative to collect welfare, or because we got better jobs. Americans did that work then and would do it again, if it paid better.

Since the operable word is "if," that doesn't get anyone anywhere.

I'm just refuting your statement that Americans won't do the kind of work involved.

As usual, that refutes nothing. Just about anyone would do the job if you offered them enough (which then is passed to the consumer). No one's being offered more than alien workers will do the work for, numbnuts. The work isn't getting done.

You are really dumb.

Only for the privileged who rewrite their own definitions of it instead of acknowledging the ugly verity of its actual definition.

Does that apply to the social justice and "progressive" bigots as well?

Because I see team SJW/"progressive" openly and proudly misusing and abusing the term more than any other group of people...by far.

A lot of them have done far more to rewrite their own definition of it than any other group too....

'Racism is prejudice plus power'......sound familiar??

Yea...that's some top notch "progressive" privilege rewriting their own definitions of it to avoid owning their own racist bullshit. ;)

Good job cherrying picking statistics. Take a look at the wealth gap between white and black under Trump. You'll notice that under Trump it's growing.

Just to destroy you a bit further I thought all the jobs that Obama created were BS minimum wage jobs? But under Trump (considering the ones he has exported to Mexico or China) they're now great ones?

Is there no depth to your racism? You should really stop making threads it's pretty pathetic.

Great book I'm recommending to derivative alt-righters still taking their cues from Milo Yiannopoulis

Troll Nation: How The Right Became Trump-Worshipping Monsters Set On Rat-F*cking Liberals, America, and Truth Itself

So what are you telling me about it for?

Liberalism is classic right wing....not alt-right much less a derivative of.

The fact that you and the author of that book think the Trumpsters are out for liberal blood is funny.

Tells me both of you are ignorant as to what liberalism is despite trying to hide behind the term. As dumb as the FOX news talking heads who also regularly conflate socialism and liberalism.

Just making sure that this statement gets preserved for a while.

If you and the LWCJ wants to stand around it stamping your feet about how unfair things are then be my guest. ;)
