I was warned ahead of time about Loving Wives so was forearmed. All in all the the comments were constructive and accurate. It was a fluff piece for sure, crafted only for the sex in the end. I rushed it (and isn't patience always the golden rule?) to the detriment of development. But hey! I liked it when I was finished, and it made the boards. It was a victory for me in that regard. I am looking forward to getting something else up soon - and yes, it will be a Loving Wife piece. Damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead!

Totters into safety of alcove on heels which are a mere three inches.

Thank goodness for that. The coffee here in this wifi cafe is awful today. They're very variable here.
:rose:

I think that may depend upon the quantity of Chicory used in the drink.
They using CAMP coffee not the real thing ?

Oh no, it's the mood of the barista. They're unfortunately not a bit camp, and make sturdy macho coffee. Sometimes the barista has been properly trained, it comes with a heart shape floating on the top, and is delicious. Sometimes it comes with just a pile of fluff and has obviously been made with water that was too hot or something.

UnwantedLaszlo - you are going to put a link to your story in your signature, aren't you? We are much too lazy to step out of the cafe and look for it, y'know.

Biscuit, anyone?

You did good, Laz. ;)

Thanks Naoko - you got me off my ass- been meaning to do that but have been lazy.

Oh then you can hang here with me! I was so lazy I couldn't be bothered to sort out the piccie of the biscuits in my last post, but I suppose I better had now.

And a cup of coffee shortly (with half a spoon of sugar :))

I'm just asking Rolf to put on this lovely song you posted in Free Association:

Avenues and Alleyways.

Ha ha ha! I just listened to it earlier, I was playing it again while doing the washing up and I caught sight of the video that goes with it! That's hilarious! I especially love the way the sound doesn't match the lip movements as he's leaning dangerously out of the car driving along. ROFL!

I don't recall seeing a Programme called that. I thought is was the theme tune to a different TV programme, but I cannot remember which one.

Well, I have found it. It's the opening theme from "The Protectors". Robert Vaughn and Nyree Dawn Porter.

What did I miss? Someone just nudged me awake?
Did someone mention spurting coffee via moi’s nose? Is that a new fetish that you've started Dr. Naoko Smith?

Some weird damn winter weather here. It snowed on Saturday, letting us enjoy a sunny walk in a whitened wonderland yesterday. This morning? Freezing rain, turning it all into a slushy, icy mess. I'm glad I don't have to drive anywhere.

Anna, you haven't seen any evidence of unregulated nasal ordnance have you ?.
I wondered if it got lost in the slush.

"Unregulated nasal ordnance?" Nope, but I'd be willing to try some out. I've been having problems in that department.

Darn stuffed-up nose.

Some years back HM started complaining that I snored horribly. And when I tried to surface dive, my sinuses about killed me. So I went to an EENT specialist who informed me that I had: sleep apnea, a deviated septum, undersized passages to my supraorbital sinuses, grossly enlarged tonsils and adenoids and a lot of fat in my throat (common among middle-aged males, she said). So four hours of surgery later (and three weeks recovery) I no longer snore, can dive if I choose and haven't had a cold or sinus infection since! And that was four years ago . . .

So for anyone with chronic sinus problems, may I recommend a trip to a specialist?

Actually, Bear, I'm so glad to hear you say that. I have had years of trouble with my sinuses, I just put up with a continual small pain in my ears now. I did once find a cure but I fear that even in Wales, where we all have free prescriptions, they won't be willing to give me a holiday in the Greek islands where the salt sea water and hot dry air can clear my sinuses.

I'm on the list to see a consultant. Hopeful sign: I got a letter the other day from the Waiting List Management Unit saying Did I still want the appointment.

I wasn't sure if I'd accept it if they offered me an operation, I understand that it's hideously painful, but I think now I will.
