What happened to all of the doom and gloom economic threads?

Hahahahahaha, that's the same fucking question I was asking you assholes when the Democrats were trying to unseat Bush with claims of recession, and never got an answer.

With Obama's unique methods of revising and extending government statistics, and a lap dog MSM loathe to report the truth, how would most people know?

Perhaps you'd like to explain that to Koalaracist?

Flashback: Biden Predicts Growth Of Up To 500,000 New Jobs a Month…

A little over two years ago Biden made this laughable prediction:

Politics Digest: Biden forecasts growth of up to 500,000 new jobs a month — WaPo

Vice President Biden predicted Friday that the U.S. economy would be adding up to 500,000 jobs each month “some time in the next couple of months.”

Biden said he “got in trouble” for his prediction last month of job growth. “Even some in the White House said, ‘Hey, don’t get ahead of yourself,’ ” he said at a Pennsylvania fundraiser, according to a pool report. “Well, I’m here to tell you, some time in the next couple of months, we’re going to be creating between 250,000 jobs a month and 500,000 jobs a month.

“We caught a lot of bad breaks on the way down,” Biden added. “We’re going to catch a few good breaks because of good planning on the way up.”

Most forecasters had expected about 200,000 jobs to be created in March. Instead, 162,000 jobs were created on non-farm payrolls — the biggest one-month gain in three years but below what economists were predicting.

Obama Speaks About Jobs Report: Blames Europe, Gas Prices And Congress…

This is the second time today his administration has blamed Europe for this morning’s jobs numbers.

Via Washington Examiner:

President Obama attributed the rise in unemployment to European struggles and high gas prices in the United States, when he spoke to Minnesotans today.

“As we learned in today’s jobs report, we’re still not creating them as fast as we want,” Obama said. “We had high gas prices, a month two months ago,” he said, “and then, most prominently, most recently, we’ve had a crisis in Europe’s economy that is having an impact worldwide; and it’s starting to cast a shadow on our own [economy] as well.”

“We can’t fully control what happens in other parts of the world,” Obama said, again citing “what’s going on in Europe.”

He then blamed Congress for failing to pass his jobs bill. “Congress should’ve passed a bill a long time ago to put thousands of construction workers back on the job,” he said.

Obama, who's in tight re-election race against Republican Mitt Romney, says the economy still faces a number of challenges, including European's debt crisis and higher gasoline prices.

Gas prices are down.

Economy is worse than you think

It has begun. After months of warning that a warmer-than-normal winter was skewing the economic data to the upside, seasonal factors are reversing. What's being revealed is an American economy suffering from the same ailment that's already affected Europe and China. The May payroll report came in well under expectations as cyclical, goods-producing payrolls fell for the first time in nine months. Factory activity is slowing. Home sales are cooling just as more distressed properties hit the market.

It's an ugly picture. But Wall Street is already looking ahead to new stimulus measures from the Federal Reserve at its June 19 meeting and the inflation that another round of money printing will create. That's boosting the fortunes of precious metals and related mining stocks, as expected. But it also sets the stage for another bout of confidence-crushing inflation.

Notice no one is talking about the debt limit we are going to hit later this summer

Please, lets talk about the debt ceiling. Why suddenly is raising the debt ceiling such a "stop the government, lose our credit rating" issue? Regan raised the debt ceiling 18 times. Why now is it such an evil thing?
