Just Plain Depressing...

Incidentally, I'm buying, at least until I become unconscious.

The catch is I get to sit close to Miss Mousy. ;)

:) I think that's a given.

PS Still laughing. Sometimes I start and I can't stop. ;)

You're on, Pilgrim! Let's hit the gin mills and see who falls off the stool first. ;)

Probably me. Gravity is a bitch.

I need help. I am laughing so hard. Geez.

Good. We don't need any crying drunks around here.

Incidentally, I'm buying, at least until I become unconscious.

Done. But promise to hold off on eating her until we pay the cabbie.

Yes, I'm sure you expect me just to roll over to your (and the mobs) personal attacks. :D

Could I pay the fare in advance? Because I was kind of thinking, you know...dark cab, close quarters, loosened inhibitions...it might be hard to resist at least a little taste.

Oh, do you question these facts? Done your research, have you? Or you just like to hear the facts you like to hear and any facts you don't like to hear must ipso facto be pretentious? Those arguing what you don't want to hear are supposed to do so with a hand tied behind their back on bringing relevant aspects of an argument to bear?

Oh the horrors of being the great Pilot!

You don't get the point, do you?

blah blah blah... it's demonstrable that I've posted more stories here in more varied categories than any of you (and thus gotten more and farther-ranging response from readers)...Blah,blah, blah...

This.

You are accusing me of doing the hearsay when you yourself haven't provided any data to back your claim.

What was that word that started with 'h', had 'ypocrit' in the middle and ended with 'e'?

You got it. It's pilot.

(Not to mention: You didn't catch the whole tongue-in-cheek aspect of the post, which arises from my claim that the stats aren't there for any side of any argument to be bringing to bear? I posted just that up the line.)

I'll mention what I got when you were trying to convey.

"I BET MY FIGURES ARE MORE ACCURATE THAN HER".

As for the tongue in cheek barb -

Pfffft. 6 year ole kiddies have done better that.

What again was your solution? I don't see it actually given here. Or is your suggestion starting a bitch thread? I guess that's discussable. Can you elaborate on what that accomplishes? Point to the rules and the reporting mechanism? Doesn't that go back to Laurel doing something? Embarassing the trash-emailing guys? Are you seriously suggesting they would read such a thread and stop sending their e-mails? What beyond that? Maybe use it to urge Laurel to step up to enforcing the harassment rule? Yeah, that's pretty much what I've suggested needs to be done, so I could support that. It would be fine even for you to claim it was your idea. It doesn't need to be my idea.

What was your solution idea again. Still don't see it.

I think "stop just griping" was what I was suggesting. The best solution I see, as I've said, was to urge Laurel to activate the simple solution that is there in following through on existing rules. It doesn't require a code change or anything; just pushing a button now and then, I think. Of late, she's been embarrassed in doing a few things (restarting the monthly contest report out, for instance) that can be done without code changes.

And, yes, you do need to go through the thread to prove your point. You aren't going to do it, of course, because I doubt there's anything there for you to find.

Reporting the harassment is certainly something folks can do. I repeatedly asked if the departed poster this thread was about had reported the harassment. If not, the Web site couldn't have been expected to do anything to help her. Neither could anyone else.

So, we're back to what are the concrete solutions you have offered?

All mine needs is getting Laurel to carry through on the existing rules and consequences. I agree we could all combine to urge she do that. I even suggested doing so up the line.

But, again, what, in plan English, have you suggested/do you suggest? In one of your posts you say we could have that discussion as adults. I agree--but you're the one who isn't responding to the discussion and just attacking me personally. Do you suggest that's being adult?

So, your solution is to put everyone down for their opinions and call them down and state clearly again to use a system that doesn't work and isn't enforced and you stand by that answer?

Now you turn on me and challenge me, when you should be leading things in a positive direction. You can't, because your direction is failed and doomed from the start. I don't pretend to be a literary guru like you, nor do I believe I know every answer for every problem on here, like you do.

The reason I reply this way to you is to show you what you're like to other people. I haven't seen you act in a respectful manner to anyone who disagrees with you. You immediately take a defensive position and start lobbing shots at them, like you've done throughout this thread.

Can you for once, put forth an opinion that everyone can pick apart for merits and faults and not take offence to anyone who disagrees with you? That's the acid test for you.

I didn't realize you weren't aware of the story side of this Web site. As far as more stories posted than anyone else on the thread, you can go here http://www.literotica.com/a/ and go down the left-hand column to the listing of the top ten story producers at Literotica. Do you see the names of anyone who has posted to this thread listed above mine (currently number eight) in productivity? As far as wider-ranging categories posted to, you are welcome to go to everyone's story list and do the comparisons yourself on categories of stories covered. Let me know if you find folks from this thread with stories in more categories than mine (something like twenty-three or twenty-four now, I think). As far as being hit on, I do a lot of GM stories under this account name. Gay posters hit on GM authors and forum posters just as much as macho guys hit on perceived female authors and forum posters. On top of that, I have two female-name story accounts, so I get hits from the macho guys too. So, I get double the hits.

Those were just facts--and in context, they were more relevant to backing observations on the Literotica activity being discussed than just pulling stats out of one's ass.

Any other questions?

I completely agree with this.

Its certainly a lot more accurate than saying all women on this site are blindsided with harassment out of the blue regardless of their own behavior and activity on a free sex site.

[QUOTEd=sr71plt;60082939]I've realized I left out a big group, so I've resplit the percentages:

OK, since some of you are dumb and pigheaded enough to accept Lady Ver's use of fantasy statistics as a foundation for argumentation, I'll show that I can do this as well (although, in all seriousness, I bet I'm a whole hell of a lot closer to the true numbers than she is). And since you're the same folks who say I'm here 24/7 (as some sort of pejorative charge) and it's demonstrable that I've posted more stories here in more varied categories than any of you (and thus gotten more and farther-ranging response from readers) and since, both with my gay stories and my hetero ones in female account names, I've experienced all of the heavy hitting sexual harassment in PMs and e-mails as that described on this thread, my statistical base is as good as anything any of the rest of you can come up with. :D

76 percent of the females who come to Literotica are mature enough and have their heads screwed on well enough and are confident enough in themselves that they know coming in how a porn story and discussion site works and what they'll face. And they are fully capable of handling obscene mash notes coming through the Web site and don't harbor expectations that the real world is going to change for them personally.

7 percent of the females who come to Literotica want to post on an equal rough language/opinion basis with the male members and want to openly flirt and engage in sexual innuendo--both on the board and in private communication. But they also reserve the privilege of yelling rape and going to look for knights in white armor to stand behind when someone pushes the envelope who they haven't chosen. (In other words, treating the Internet like real life).

6 percent of the females who come to Literotica want a Fifty Shades of Gray platform where they can giggle dirty Romance with other women. They can see that this isn't that type of site now, but they are confident that they can reupholster it to suit them, and they will whine and wheedle in an unsuccessful bid to do so--and, in the process, will gather other posters, including men, who just love to say how political correct they are (whether or not this is what they demonstrate in what they actually do here).

11 percent of the females who come to Literotica are twelve or thirteen and are shocked even though they thought they were oh so sexy and sexually sophisticated. (At least one poster to this thread initially fell into this category). Although these will whimper about how meanly they were treated by the sexual harassment here and will have their champions, these don't need to be discussed or accommodated much, because they shouldn't be here at all and they have lied to be here.

So, there, that's my Lady Ver-style assessment. :D[/QUOTE]

Yes, the cheese will do splendidly. You know how I feel about the dreaded... sushi.

From: http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-...onality-disorder/basics/symptoms/con-20025568

Narcissistic personality disorder is characterized by dramatic, emotional behavior, which is in the same category as antisocial and borderline personality disorders.

Narcissistic personality disorder symptoms may include:

Believing that you're better than others

Fantasizing about power, success and attractiveness

Exaggerating your achievements or talents

Expecting constant praise and admiration

Believing that you're special and acting accordingly

Failing to recognize other people's emotions and feelings

Expecting others to go along with your ideas and plans

Taking advantage of others

Expressing disdain for those you feel are inferior

Being jealous of others

Believing that others are jealous of you

Trouble keeping healthy relationships

Setting unrealistic goals

Being easily hurt and rejected

Having a fragile self-esteem

Appearing as tough-minded or unemotional

Although some features of narcissistic personality disorder may seem like having confidence or strong self-esteem, it's not the same. Narcissistic personality disorder crosses the border of healthy confidence and self-esteem into thinking so highly of yourself that you put yourself on a pedestal. In contrast, people who have healthy confidence and self-esteem don't value themselves more than they value others.

When you have narcissistic personality disorder, you may come across as conceited, boastful or pretentious. You often monopolize conversations. You may belittle or look down on people you perceive as inferior. You may have a sense of entitlement. And when you don't receive the special treatment to which you feel entitled, you may become very impatient or angry.

Nominations for poster child are now open. :D

This thread is now officialy a mess.

I'd like to congratulate sr71plt for the successful hijack and swivelling all the spotlights on his truly. Not to forget jacktar for posting cheeky memes and the birth of an Alt made just to rant on this thread.

My heartfelt sympathies for the victim, I hope (and know) that she is untouched by this unfortunate incident. She has left it behind and moved on. :rose:

For those of you [you know who I'm talking about] who want to discuss on attacks on an innocent *scoff* GM author, and want to hear his defence regarding it and the stories about his rise - there's always an option for opening a new thread anywhere on the forums.

I've seen enough to add some new names to my ignore list. I'll also remember to add a few names as a reminder about which users can NEVER post on my future threads. That's the only thing I can extract out of this shambles.

Till then, you people will (hopefully) stop posting here and let this thread die in peace.

I admit it was a mistake to even post such a thing here. It doesn't deserve to be here in the first place.

I didn't hijack this thread nor put the spotlight on me. Your friends did. Should I count the number of posts others directed at me here just to keep the thread rolling along? (I might do that just for the fun of it.)

I kept trying to bring it back to doing something about the issue. But perhaps you posted the OP just to bitch.

It's your nature to be condescending. You shouldn't be surprised that so many of "My Friends" picked on you.

So, you want to just continue the thread yammering too, I see.

Oh, I don't expect much else from your friends considering their demonstrated level of intelligence. It's hard not to be condescending toward some around here. You planning on joining that group?

No, I don't. I'm ending it right here.

Omg please add me to the list. So arrogant its unbelievable.

That sounds like a threatened rape. She should report it. No one is truly anonymous on the internet any more. If no one reports these things, the scale of the problem goes unrecorded and nothing gets done. What the anonymous poster has done is a crime and it should be reported.

It is scary to be threatened on the internet. There is a lot of information on each of us out there and much if not all of it can be found one way or another.

One of the most popular and intelligent ladies ever to post on Lit, but who doesn't any longer, once had a stalker whom she thought she was safe from. Her stalker DID find her, broke into her apartment and raped her.

Internet threats should be taken seriously.

LMAO.

Look who's squeaking.
