Here in OK, they are eaten all manner of ways including with butter and sugar/honey for breakfast ... or with cheese for supper

i've had them with cheese before i liked that. ( course i think everything is better with cheese)
And butter and maple syrup. Ive tried it that way too.

Tosses the Smelling Salts ... grits are a staple on the breakfast menu around here. I would not even sniff, much less taste until they were compared to Cream of Wheat. Still not a fan, but they are okay.
