Faking you care is so disingenuous but very true to who you are with the nasty things you've done and tried to do to some people here.

For the most part I still enjoy myself here.

This place has never been considered overly welcoming or friendly but there are some decent posters who are interesting, lively and I enjoy reading what they have to say or interacting with them.

Some people argue, fall out, move on or take a lit break. Or meet someone here and they make a life together and just get busy.

We have newbies join up and add to the mix. The gb is always changing or going thru a cycle.

There will always be trolls. Some come here and find it their version of entertainment to behave like asshats and be disruptive.

Drama always gets more views.

The point heís trying to make is that if youíre in some kind of hostile environment, you shouldnít feel... trapped. Ask someone a loaded question. If you see prejudice as a release from that, you arenít really trying to be understanding. The idea that everything has to be sexual is absurd.

The reputation for nastiness you and a few others have bestowed upon me has always been funny.

Debbie is a model Litster and upstanding world citizen.

The closest she ever got to nasty was when she fucked the Red Dude with such vigor he had to get his heart fixed.

Are they not aware of your reign as Lit's Most Beloved Poster??

Sidebar: Beloved. Bi or trisyllabic?

I say it with 3; but this is an American web territory, so i would think many say it with 2.

By the way, i was just joking around the other day about your manliness; it was an opportunistic reply to bongo boy, thats all.

I took it very much in the spirit it was intended. It amused me that he assumed I would be grievously wounded.

We can't all simply declare ourselves "ALPHA as Fuck!!"

I was going to guess trisyllabic because it seems that Canadian English retains much more of the parent-tongue.

Perhaps they lack understanding of the nature of repartee. Incisive wit is a not administered with butter knives.

All kidding aside, people could learn a thing or two about state control and reframing if they paid attention to how you banter. A lot of it is likely salesmanship training or aptitude.

Other(s) (lets say) don't understand that just because Don Rickles for example gets laughs with insults doesn't make every insult funny. Funny is funny, not sub-genre specific. When something isn't funny it isn't funny, merely tedious. Finding something tedious rather than funny does not mean that one is wounded. Even when the goal is to "score points" either because one is seeking some sort of retribution or one is seeking some sort of sadistic satisfaction, it would seem to me that irritation is the lowest level of desired response.

When I first started posting here Garnate was a pretty frequent poster. She had a gift for snark that bit with humor. It seemed to me at the time that there were an awful lot of people trying to emulate her particular snark and falling far short.

You know how one can somehow develop a particular stumble with a word? Aluminum was like that for me and I had no idea why.

It would often come out al-oo-me-num-e-um oddly acquiring an extra syllable or two. I have no idea how that happened. I can spell it correctly but for some reason was having trouble annunciating it. When I would slow down to correct this, it simply seemed to get worse.

At some point I started saying at The Queen's English way, kind of as a joke. After a while though, saying it the English way put the proper number of syllables in my head and now I can say it either way.

I never found bignose funny, i always felt she was mean-spirited.

Initially i thought she was naive about the forum and the internet generally, but that turned out to be a trap she and luk had set for me when they were lovers.

In time, her duplicity here caught up with her IRL.

Speaking of weird pronunciations. I want to hear how you all say "mauve."

That's another thing about humor that people do not understand. They genuinely think that if they like comedian a more than b, that you somehow have a faulty sense of humor that you like b more than a. Different brands of humor appeal to different people's sensibilities.

I've never heard it pronounced any way other than "Mawwv," or if I have I just thought it was a completely different word.

I was listening to an audio book while stuck in traffic and the pronunciation of mauve was more like "Morrv" or Que's way. I've never heard it like that? I say "mowv."
