Not afraid to admit I was a racist

I see a lot of posts calling people racist, I skip over them considering them to be of no substance, unless they are calling out a specific racist comment.

But I will say that when I was a young teen in the mid-60's going to a private school in southern Virginia, that was founded in response to desegregation, I was very much a racist.
To the point of drawing pictures of the KKK killing niggers, labeling them as such.
I think I did it to "fit in" and out of ignorance, but that's no excuse.
It's even less of an excuse for people today.

But luckily by the 10th grade I grew up.

I've never spent a minute of my life contemplating associating with the KKK as a means of "fitting in." I wasn't raised in the South however. The KKK are a bunch of really stupid people who's roots go deep into the Democrat Party and are a dark stain on its history.

Racism is like alcoholism. Once a drunk...

You couldn't resist that dig!

If you knew anything about history or even cared, you would know that many of those Democrats, particularly southerners, crossed over to the Republican party once Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964, given "those people" basic civil rights.

Remember Nixon's Southern Strategy?

If you get him to admit that people with these same KKK-like convictions are now Republicans and are a "deep stain" in the GOP I'll venmo you a dollar :)

The GB Left's definition of 'racism' includes only Blacks or Muslims.
All other ethnicities, White immigrants included are fair game for them.

I am aware of the racism and challenges that Black folks face in Red States, but that's not the issue here.

You're all a bunch of hypocritical fucks who probably choose only all-White neighborhoods.

You guys 'advocate' for Blacks ON A PORN BOARD for purely narcissistic reasons: it makes you feel moral and important.
When in fact you probably don't give two fucks about them, in real life.

I would hate to be a Black poster on the GB (other than Zumi, who's a racist himself).
I would feel used, like a muppet.

Where's Laurel with the perma-banhammer when you need her.

Folks do that with abortion too.

Easy to say "probably" when you don't have a clue.
Of my 5 closest neighboring families two are black, two are hispanic, one is white. A sixth is black who I was friends with until his daughter showed up at my door late one night because he'd attacked and choked her and she knew she could count on me to help her.

I think I will say one last thing before leaving this thread.

Racism essentially means believing that one's race is superior to another. In the United States, minority groups do not have the amount of socioeconomic or political power as the majority group, so it is a bit nonsensical to apply the racist label to a member of a minority group who has been historically (and still continuously) oppressed. Prejudice might be a better word, but not racist.

One thing I have noticed about many right wing posters--they are very quick to call out "perceived" racism from the other side, while blatantly ignoring hatred from their side. I've noticed this occurrence many times on the General Board. A poster could scream out "nigger this, spic that" and be met with chuckles from rightists, yet these same rightists would harp on "the other side" for calling out racism.

By the way, Zumi is NOT a racist, but he has no qualms about calling it out.

Absurd!

I actually didn't have you in mind, I think that you, phrodeau and a few others are genuine liberals. Your general lack of aggression is one of the tells.

I just took advantage of the thread's name.
Most, if not all good political threads, regardless of topic inevitably get hijacked into the same old same old Blacks versus White thing as a means of a pissing contest.

You are right, certain conservative posters Do make racist comments about Blacks from time to time, and need to be slapped on their wrist when they do them.

And see? That's why I find you to be ok, despite your incessant trolling and name calling of certain posters. One can have a conversation or exchange of ideas with you about nonPC issues .
But not with Zumi. You have to walk on eggshells around him about certain topics, because he gets so easily offended, feels victimized and is prone to misinterpretations.

That's a pretty (shitty) 276th alt you're hiding behind, Hash.

Be a shame if something happened to it.

:D

Equivocating racism with abortion is laughable. :)D me laughing) Choosing not to like someone is not the same as murdering someone.
