I like stories in which things go from bad to worse to "Oh, shit! for the protagonist. Two of my favorite SFW movies were "After Hours", directed by Martin Scorsese, and "Something Wild", directed by Jonathan Demme.

On the erotic fiction front, I hope someone can write stories in which the central character slowly slides deeper and deeper into sexual degradation and loses touch with his or her real life.

One of my favorites [please do not offer any info for stories at other sites].

On the bi/gay side, Literotica author Willing2Do has three stories (https://www.literotica.com/s/first-time-with-a-man-2 https://www.literotica.com/s/anthony-and-friends and finally https://www.literotica.com/s/anthony-makes-me-feel-good) By the end of the third story the main character's life is slipping out of control - but the saga stops there, to my disappointment.

Is this a good idea for a story?

I'd say that's more of a theme than a story idea, but it's definitely an interesting one. The author would have to decide on what the endgame is: eventual redemption? Or utter annihilation? I don't see any other ways to end it, unless you were to choose total ambiguity, which would probably piss off a lot of readers.

Stupid Moderating

In a post above, I gave the name of an erotic story that is not on Lit. I didn't say where it can be found, or post a link. I just named a story.
The name got moderated out.
How about if I say I liked The Bible? Is that OK? The House of Seven Gables? Last of the Mohicans was a good read, too.

If you really want to bitch, I can report you to the site owners. In your profile you give the FULL url to ASSTR for said story.

I think the rule is against online smut, which Lit sees as competition, not mainstream literature. Not saying I agree or disagree with the rule, just pointing out the logic behind what you see as a contradiction.

ObTopic: Authorwise, I see two main approaches to the theme.

1) Setup the scene and players, and see how far the MC can fall.
2) Visualize the degraded ending, then follow the MC's path there.

Trick will be to find the right category for bummer-ending stories. You can't do any worse than LW, hey? Plenty readers there will love watching wife or hubby flush down the sewer.
