All those Republican country folk who have yet to see any tax relief (unless they are Koch brothers) are now going to pay twice as much for postal delivery when ordering from Amazon if Donald Trump gets his way. He is such an ugly, tantrum-prone infant.

He's being petty and vindictive. This has nothing to do with Amazon costing the USPS money. It's about a) Bezos being many more times successful than the con artist, b) Bezos being many times more wealthy than the con artist and, c) Bezos owns the Washington Post, a newspaper which regularly reports on the collusion and crimes of the con artist.

Yep. Still Aunt Judy in Kansas who voted for the con artist will be paying more for ginger snaps.

I'm thinking of people I know who own a lot of Amazon stock and still support the yellow moron. Screaming inside!

if the donald were to get his way, amazon would just switch to fedex or one of the other competitors who are already putting the uspo out of business. the consumer won't suffer and may actually get better rates......but the uspo, which amazon basically has been subsidizing, will get screwed.

Yea stick it to the 1%!!! Those evil corporate fuckers are gonna get it!!!

You guys aren't happy for progress???? Hopefully he starts bashing other evil corporate entities too!!!

YEA PROGRESS!!! :D

We'll have to see what other companies Trump has a personal hard on for--and we'll see how long the congressional Republicans will continue sucking him.

The USPS can never be put out of business without amending the Constitution first.

What? If you limit competition how do you propose to get better rates? FedEx and UPS are significantly more expensive to ship by than the Post Office and if they get the business it will end up costing people more.

You don't know the meaning of the word subsidize, do you? Were it not for the Congressional mandate that the USPS prefund its pension 75 years in advance, there wouldn't be an issue. But since Republicans want to get rid of it, they found a way to force it to do something which no other business on the planet has to do: fund its pension for people who aren't even born who may end up working for the USPS.

Hey cherry. I am doing pretty good. Thank you for your concern.

Ol Donnie has been pretty good to this ol gun toting country boy. Getting richer every day.

And no, I don't invest in nor do I use amazon.

Why do you resort to name calling when you "profess" to detest that professor?

What he should be looking at is the postage rates being paid by the Chinese for exporting to the US (and elsewhere).

They offer ridiculously low rates for packets and parcels relying on the Universal Postage Union to cover delivery in another country. If you order something from China online the supplier will pay a fraction of the real cost of delivery. The US postal service has to deliver it under the UPU agreement. How it works is that items sent to China are charged at US postal rates; from China to the US at Chinese postal rates; and the recipient countries are supposed to bear the cost of delivery.

If a one kilo parcel costs the equivalent of 15 US cents to be sent from China to the US? The US postal service is losing out by several dollars. It is one-sided. Many more packets are sent from China to the US than the other way. It means that a Chinese manufacturer can undercut a US supplier because their delivery charges from China to a US recipient are much cheaper than internal postage in the US.
