Household Incomes at Record High

Any Repugnican idiot who has a pen and both houses of Congress can rev up the economy by gutting environmental and financial regulations. Do you ever even consider why we even bother to regulate the economy?

Is unregulated or under-regulated growth always a great idea? Is it a great idea to snort huge amounts of drugs, because it feels good in the short term? Is it a great idea to throw a big party during the cold winter and burn the furniture to stay warm? Is it a great idea to base all signs of economic health on the rate of increase in burning limited resources on a finite planet? Is it a great idea to promote human over-population on this planet, because it supports an economic pyramid scheme?

Is it a great idea to assume that the market in a growth economy will always self-correct? Is it a great idea to assume that private corporations will never do anything that will benefit themselves at the expense of the public and the financial institutions? Is it a great idea to assume that the financial institutions themselves should be allowed to self-regulate, because they would never try to scam the public at large?

You can debate indicators that were devised by academics who worship the God of Growth and the Invisible Hand of the Free Market all the way up to the time that the current Ponzi schemes collapse. Then, whoever remains will be left to try to clean up the mess, just like the last time a Repugnican idiot was in the Oval Office.

Why don't you volunteer.? Your country needs you.

As you keep saying in every post. It's all the liberals fault (haven't heard that before ever)

At least Dawn O'Dum Dum votes for a valid reason--economic policy.
At least the fundie evangelicals vote for their abortion insanity.
I disagree with them, but they're valid reasons.

You are the worst kind of voter, not giving a flying crap what kind of insane policies you are allowing, just voting for some personal grievance that has nothing to do with actual government.

Newsflash: government is not a chat board. It's not social media. It's not TV. It's not a personal relationship.

The reason we have Trump is not liberals, it's fucking moronic idiots like yourself taking out their personal rivalries from the literotica GB.

Rory bugs me, I'm gonna vote for Trump waaaa waaa waaaa.

The progressives are one of the best things out there for Trump. Average people who aren't either loony liberal or way far right who weren't Trump supporters(as the OP says he was) are slowly coming over to his side and partly because they're unbiased enough to admit when something is improving.

But also that same group-including people I know who have always identified as democrats-are so sick and tired of the unending whining and bold faced lying of the progressives they're walking away from the left, or what now constitutes it.

For most of my life I've voted Dem-even for Obama in 2008- but wen the other way the last two elections for the reason I just cited.

I'm losing hope the Dems will ever rid themselves of the alt left progressive liberal babies and will keep helping the GOP roll along.

Dawn picks and chooses what "she" responds to and then when "she" is presented with evidence to the contrary moves the goalposts.

This post being just one of many, many examples.

Conservative assholes (redundant, I know) continue to spew Fox lies and propaganda like molten lava flowing from Kilauae.

The steaming hot pile of garbage includes the belief that Trump-growth and "progress" isn't anything but billionaires increasing their stock portfolio.

Some people prefer to be lied to it seems.

Actually, I did respond to that one, because Carnal_Flower also commented on it.

I don't pick and choose posts, I pick and choose with whom I bother debating. Some people, like you, aren't worth the bother. You, for example, dan, don't argue from a valid position, only from misogynistic bigotry and class envy. So I ignore you.

Now run back to Mommy's basement, go to one of your favorite anime porn sites, and play quietly. We grownups are talking.

I don't know very many grownups who would talk the way you do.

A long-awaited pickup in wage growth to accompany the robust U.S. labor market appears to be finally taking shape.

Average hourly earnings for production and nonsupervisory employees -- a group which comprises 82 percent of the private-sector workforce -- rose 2.8 percent in the year through May....

The biggest driver of the acceleration in wage growth in the rest of the labor market over the last few months has been a surge in worker earnings at retailers. Construction and manufacturing have also contributed to the pickup.

M. Boesler, Retail Workers' Gains Drive Long-Awaited Pickup in U.S. Wages, Bloomberg (Jun. 1, 2018).

Every fucking time I go to the store now things have gone up. My tuna from Whole Foods has been $1.99 for two years. Just jumped to $2.49!!

I've been going to the same stores for 9 years. Never seen anything like it. Fucking everything and I'm sick of it.

Fuck Trump. This is going to get worse.

Go to Wal Mart....same can of tuna is $0.78.

Actually....keep paying the (D)ummy tax at Wholepaycheck foods. :D

It's relative, ass.

It's not just WF, it's EVERYWHERE. That can of disgusting tuna at WM would be at LEAST $1.08 now.

Coffee
Cat food
Tissues
Milk--all dairy
Diet Coke
Snack bag of chips
Rice

I can honestly say this is the first practical, every day SHIT result of the Trump presidency. I don't drive so can't speak for gas.

You mean the exact same brand of tuna made in the exact same factory as the WF can that's 3x the price???

No....I just bought some at WM, it was still cheap as fuck.

Coffee
Cat food
Tissues
Milk--all dairy
Diet Coke
Snack bag of chips
Rice

Coffee actually went down.

Dairy went up because (D) taxes/regulations, same with sodas and junk food.

IDK about rice though...depends on how those subsidies work out, I haven't paid very close attention to that shit.

I can honestly say this is the first practical, every day SHIT result of the Trump presidency. I don't drive so can't speak for gas.

Oh so now Trump controls the prices of shit? LOL you really do think POTUS is some kind of god king don't you???

Why don't you try shopping at a place that doesn't charge you a 300% "trendy" tax?

Once again dawn gets destroyed by cherry picking data. If you look at the real earnings data you'll see this:

Real average hourly earnings increased 0.2 percent, seasonally adjusted, from April 2017 to April 2018. The increase in real average hourly earnings combined with a 0.3-percent increase in the average workweek resulted in a 0.4-percent increase in real average weekly earnings over this period.

In other words once you adjust for things like inflation the real increase was 0.4%. Obama did this in October 2017. In January of 2016 it was over 1%.

Why didn't you bring this up then dawn? It's probably because you're a racist.

Business economists worry about possible recession in 2020

WASHINGTON (AP) — A group of top business economists believes the major tax cuts President Donald Trump pushed through Congress will give a significant boost to economic growth this year and next year. But they worry that by 2020, the country could be entering a new recession.

The National Association for Business Economics says in its latest quarterly outlook that its panel of 45 economists expects the economy, as measured by the gross domestic product, to expand 2.8 percent this year. That is down slightly from the panel’s March forecast, which put GDP growth this year at 2.9 percent.

The NABE economists are “slightly less optimistic about the U.S. economy in 2018 than they were three months ago,” says NABE vice president Kevin Swift, chief economist at the American Chemistry Council.

Part of the drop-off in optimism reflects growing worries about what Trump’s get-tough approach on trade might do to U.S. growth prospects.

Three-fourths of the NABE panel believes that current trade policies will have a negative impact on the economy. Trump last week imposed penalty tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from major U.S. trading partners — the European Union, Canada and Mexico — and he has threatened tariffs on up to $200 billion in Chinese imports, moves that could trigger a global trade war as the targeted nations pledge to retaliate.

Oh noes, not another Republicunt recession!

When CostCo boosts the hotdog price to US$1.75, you'll know USA is fucked.

No you didn't. You got ruined and couldn't come up with any bullshit lies from Fox "News" so you didn't respond.

You also didn't respond to this post. Which once again I ruined you on and you ran away from.

In fact, you haven't responded to any of my posts because you're a racist.

Hey Dan! I see you're back to resorting to name-calling when Dawn ruins you.

I think you have a crush on her!

What follows is purely my barely-educated opinion, and when I opine I usually sound like an imperious ass.

The thing is, it looks like a whole hell of a lot of people are looking at their personal financial situations and are feeling like they are better off now than they were a couple years ago. This is what’s going to fuck us Democrats.

Because all those people are not then looking at the upper and corporate classes and noticing how much proportionately more better off the 1% are than the hoi paloi. The middle class is getting a slice of bread while the upper class is getting a bakery.

Pointing this out is an intellectual exercise and has no real emotional oomph for all but the most disaffected. And all the conservative pundits need to do is quote Buckley, “A rising tide lifts all boats,” and the incurious are appeased.

And as for the Mueller investigation possibly raising voter ire, I have two words for you:
oconus lures

As of yesterday, it’s going to take a live broadcast of Trump giving Putin head to win any Republicans or conservative leaning independents over against Trump based on the current investigations.

And “A Better Deal?” My dauchsund’s ass is more compelling, and he’s been dead for 8 years.

The only hope for a Blue Wave, in my imperious ass of an opinion, is for the Trump Admin to fuck something up catestrophically. The only silver lining is, if any Republican admin were ever likely to blunder into a catastrophic scandal, it’s this one.

Edit: I should have concluded: Holy shitballs I hope I’m wrong.

There's time between now and November for reality to set into even the smallest of minds, and Trump is working overtime to stick it to the bottom 99 percent in the pocketbook.
