Who here likes Jazz music?

Another Classic

"My Funny Valentine" from the Eric Truffaz Quartet.

Marc Erbetta on vocals & drums, Patrick Muller on piano, Marcello Giuliani on bass and Eric Truffaz on trumpet

Now, for something completely different . . .

From Hidden Orchestra. Not exactly jazz. May be 'dance,' but intriguing and provocative all the same

"Still."

Then, by way of GoGo Penguin, "Bardo"

Which is going to bring us to Norway and modern jazz by way of Bugge Wesseltoft, "New Conception of Jazz"

I do hope

I'm listening to jazz at work. Not sure if I like it.

I do hope you continue to try. Jazz is a unique art form. It thrives because each artist continues to add their prescriptive to a given piece of music.

Consider if you will, Brad Mehldau's "And I Love Her."

Curious to know Lennon's opinion

Roy Hargrove

We lost Roy Hargrove last week

Pour yourself a few fingers of your favorite adult beverage and enjoy the mellow sounds of Hargrove and his quartet, "Speak Low"

I love him. I've seen him alone, with a brief Return to Forever reunion, and with Paco and John Mclaughlin. His clean and fast pickin' is incredible.

Oh!!!! Paco! Loooooove! And John Mclaughlin is fantastic. These are my favorite concerts to attend. Because of the improvisational aspect alone...so worth it!
