I've been wondering about some steam punk erotica lately.

I've been loving Gail Carriger's Parasol Protectorate series. I love the subtle flirting, the social niceties that are observed, all the clothing they must fight their way through and just the innocence of it all.

I don't think I would want it to be supernatural necessarily though.

Perhaps an older man seducing a younger girl? Or a woman having her way with a man who is determined to remain pure? Two teens exploring?

Sexual automatons? A steam powered sex machine? Sex in a dirigible?

I need to give this some more thought.

There is an anthology of short stories called simple "Steampunk". One of the stories is told from the point of view of a young woman who discovers that the clockwork maid that her husband has bought for her actually has a number of secret "subroutines" that are for *him*.

I won't spoil it be telling you what she does about it ;)

Yes! I need to find those and read them RIGHT now. Thank you:)

Found it on Amazon and just bought it for my kindle ap. Can't wait--sounds great. Had to put in Steampunk anthology and came right up. :)

And love the idea--hope you decide to write some of your ideas. Would love to read them.

Love the idea of a steampunk sexual automaton. Really suits the whole maid/butler vibe. Could even eroticise the mechanical elements of it somewhat...

Bear in mind that most of the other stories in the anthology are *not* about sex at all, and that one only touches on it tangentially - whilst the actions of the robot maid are quite erotically described, no actual sex happens "on screen".

So its for steampunk fans rather than erotica fans ;)

Very disappointing.

I think someone definitely needs to fill this steampunk erotica gap.... The more the better. :)

I think that this sort of idea would have a lot of potential. You can toy with the social conventions and barriers presented by actual history, but then, with a steampunk alternative history, tear right through them. One of the plus points about steampunk has always been that it allows for female characters that are more dynamic and in control than a typical period romance might have. That and, as you say, all the costume and paraphenalia. To my mind, all the corsets, mechanisms and strong women of steampunk suggest a story with a domme character, but that's just a suggestion.

Actually that works out perfect--my daughter is a huge fan of the genre--there has been a lot of Young Adult fiction written along those lines lately that she just adores--and is already stealing my kindle to read it. We also downloaded a steampunk craft book and she is already planning her birthday party around it.

I'm interested in branching out and stretching my wings writing-wise so this may be just the sort of thing to crash through my writer's block.

I'd love to read it if you come up it anything!

You've sparked my interest as well.

Been thinking about the possibility for a couple of days now. I'd like to take up the challenge as well, but herein lies the thought;

'what makes it steampunk' to you?

To me, I see the Victorian age, with a backdrop of the Industrial Revolution. Babbages Difference Engine (which I got to see in person) has been built, and it has made... well, a difference. The age of automation and automatons arrives before the advent of the internal combustion engine, and so coal and steam powers much of what is produced and the production.

Take this backdrop of dirty steam and hot metal and put national pride at stake. It's easy to see that life off the brightly, gaslamp lit streets is dirty and tired, and the rich play with the machines built by the poor.

What would you see?

Would you look in the shadows, or in the light? Would you look to the brightly colored gala, with crinoline and bustles and capes, and the mechanical opera? Or would you delve into the oily heart of the Empire, where the work is done by many who rarely see the light of day, whose skin tastes of coal and oil?

Tell me where you want me to go, and I'll see if I can light the way. Where's that match of inspiration?

I think it is important to remember the dystopian elements of the "___punk" genre.

The very strong basis that whilst technology makes the lives of the wealthy near perfect, the poor struggle, living in cramped, low quality living spaces with the daily threat of crime and violence and the only real way to make enough money to jump that huge divide between rich and poor is to turn to serious crime.

The reason Steampunk works so well, in my view, is that the Victorian era was already very much like that.

Okus it is only a small step of the imagination to progress the sudden technological leap of the industrial revolution to more complex machinery of clockwork calculating machines and steam-powered industrial robots.

Which reminds me, there is actually a wordless webcomic (For sale, so the link is disabled per Literotica's forum rules.) - Chester 5000 XYV - about a Victorian inventor who creates a robot to take care of his insatiable new wife's sexual needs...

Interesting. When I think steam punk I tend to think Victorian era with many inventions powered by steam. There is usually a dirigible mentioned somewhere.

The bustles, corsets, matching hats, levels of society, strict rules of social conduct are all things that should possibly be there.

It seems that more often than not the historical fiction type stories tell of the wealthy, so I'm not sure how things would change if the story were between a maid and another servant, or soemthing of that sort. I think I prefer the wealthy, but it would be interesting to go behind the scenes to where things are made.

I need to put some more thought into this....

Thanks. :)

'Girl Genius' is perpetually about one wardrobe malfunction away from steampunk erotica, but apparently the Foglios are taking a break from porn until their kids are grown up. Still worth a read, especially if you alternate with back issues of XXXenophile.

Holy crap! I just spent half an hour on that comic! It's addicting.....

Mixture?

What about steampunk mixed with magic such as witches and dragons playing part in the empires' forces along with steam robots and machines? I have an idea about a military school in which young women are trained to ride the dragon air force. They can control their dragons by allowing themselves to be penterated in pussy and ass by the dragon's tenctles projecting from its back. This allow the girls to use the nerve clusters in their pussies to create a mind mend with their dragons. So the riders and their dragons in a way become more than mistress-pet, they become a kind of lovers. That allow them to act as one unit in combat. Only girls can ride the dragons, not men, so this open the door for women to become highly regarded warriors and members in the society. A poor woman who can mate with her dragon and fight well can become a duchess or baroness on her merits. Because they can't wear pants in performance of their duty, public exposure of their pussies become a social norm, nothing to get excited about. Of course, all that fucking their dragons make the girls very horny and they make out with other girls in their barracks.

As someone who's been reading a lot of steampunk lately (and writing a bit of erotica in it myself), I've got a couple questions for you (not intended as criticism, just some food for thought): most steampunk is loosely based around a civilization with Victorian values (whether it's literally Victorian or in an alternate world), including Victorian notions of sexuality. Overt or perverse sexuality within steampunk typically is part of counterculture, or an area full of taboos and secrets, or the domain of adventurers who are happy to live on the periphery of respectable society. Having soldier women who publicly display their bodies is quite a departure from anything that would fit inside that typical world; infact, it would pretty much be the opposite. Which isn't to say that what you're suggesting isn't a good idea or that it isn't steampunk. But I do think that it is very different from what draws fans to the genre or what they expect, which is a much more covert sexuality.

I certainly think you can combine magic and steampunk though. Steampunk technology has often been described as 'technofantasy' meaning that it's technology that basically works like magic. So you'd need to put limits on what the technology is, and limits on what the magic is, and make sure that you don't essentially have two overlapping frameworks. Probably one represents establishment. The other represents a new, rising power. I think you could play with it either way: dragons and magic as the historic power, or dragons and magic as a new power.

As a thought experiment, imagine a traditional steampunk setting, in which an explorer in south america (or similar fictitious setting) discovers dragons, thus totally unbalancing a lot of preconceived beliefs as well as an emerging notion of the supremacy of technology. These dragons have a naturally-evolved symbiotic relationship with a tribe of amazonian women, like the relationships you've described. But of course an ambitious empire looks at these dragons and immediately thinks, how can we defeat them or militarize them for our own purposes? And they attempt to apply their science and ambitions to this magical creature. And what do people in the empire think when they learn of this perverse sexuality linked to a power greater than their own notions of technological progress (which they link to their own repressed sexuality). I think that this sort of conflict reflects the steampunk ethos a little more than an empire where these two forces exist essentially side-by-side with both of them accepted.

Anyway, just some food for thought.

Good thoughts. It's true that most steampunk seems to reflect the traditional Victorian values. So my fantasy might be a mixture of steampunk and alternative history where the world history follow a very diffferent path than traditional steampunk much like Harry Turtledove. Then, why limit ourselves?

too lazy to read everything, but ... not too long ago, I discoved the Steam Punk genre. I really like it, even though I have only seen a few stories/movies about it.

As far as I know, some people in Steampunk have artificial limbs? I once read a story, where a guy had a mechanical arm, because he lost his real arm when a machine that went crazy attacked him. Since his arm was steampowered, it was much stronger then the other one.

Now think about it: a cock that is made out of steel. Since it is steampowered, the tip can move forwards and backwards, similar to a modern day "fucking machine". Or maybe a hooker. After 1000 customers, her pussy and butthole are worn out. She needs a mechanical replacement. And since it is steampowered, her pussy and butthole can change the diameter, really gripping the dick, giving an unforgettable experience for her customers. She could become one of the best paid hookers.

Steampunk as a Genre has been called 'the Past if the future arrived earlier' and to that end it becomes a mix of Victorian era clothing and social ills with a twist of modern times sensibilities. a lot of Steampunk stories have women working along side the men. Even going as far as serving of Airships, which would not be allowed in the 1880's. With that said, it leaves alot open. The Woman who has a strong sense of self and what she wants using sex to get what she desires the most. Power. As well as men who explite these woman for the very same reasons.
It's not all about steam this or steam that, anymore than anything else. A story could easily be about a woman seducing a rich businessman in order to save her family from the poor streets of london, and it could be that it all takes place in the back of he new steam power automobile or some such.
I guess what i am saying that Steampunk is the setting, not the story.

(oops sorry about digging up such an ancient thread!)

Going to do a little own horn tooting. Going to start with an observation however so it's not that bad.

There are steampunk stories on lit, most of them for the oddest reason are in BDSM section. I mean they are there for a good reason, they are supposed to be is the odd part. Mostly because it is gals being submissive and tied up, well not always tied up but well you know what I mean.

Nothing wrong with that and being submissive to the guy is great fun. Just is not Victorian England which is what steampunk uses as the basis of the stories. So alright time for the own horn tooting, I have started a steampunk series.

Set in the actual Victorian England with the pipes, there are police in balloon dirigibles, and motored carriages. Precursor to the automobile, Ford is just the first company to use modern manufacturing techniques. Also a bit of magic, as done by the hero of the story.

If you want to read the first part posted click on my name <----- over there and go to homepage. You want Littlest Agent though go ahead and read the rest if you haven't yet, the whole one person in this thread. ;)
