Incorporating Porn into a story

Hello all,

I'm writing a story about a couple having a weekend in Vegas, and I want them to watch a porno. I'm unsure how to incorporate it into my story.

Most things I write I draw from some personal experience but I can't help with this -every time I've watched porn with a lover I start talking about shoes and hair and it ends in uncontrollable giggles.

I am an adult. I promise. lol

In my story, my couple is going back to their hotel suite from having a very arousing time at a club. They turn on the TV and there's porn on the channel. I don't know how to make porn playing in the background while they're fucking a sexy experience.

Any ideas?

As I understand it, when you turn on the tv in a hotel, it will never automatically be to a porn movie. It's an OnDemand thing, you would have to go to the porn pay-per-view channel and then accept the charge before being able to watch the movie.


Maybe the girl (Kelsey) decides to use her boyfriend David's laptop to browse online while he's in the hotel shower. She notices an assortment of tabbed folders on the top of the browser (SPORTS, NEWS, PS4, REDDIT, etc.). One folder catches her eye because it was named with just a capital letter P. Curiosity gets the better of her and she decides to click inside...she finds a list of links:

Due to her upbringing, she's never actually watched an adult movie before and is oddly fascinated by it. Kelsey notices that the redhead porn star (the Red Fox) bears a striking resemblance to herself. As she watches the Red Fox and Angelica Ebbi lavish kisses on the man's lengthy shaft, she glances down and realizes that she's been gently rubbing her fingers against the front of her white panties...they are noticeably wet.

She's never been sexually adventurous but since they were in Vegas, it might be the perfect place to dip a toe into those carnal waters.

Depends on the place. We've not dialed-up pr0n in USA hostelries but we've stayed at sex motels in Michuacan, Mexico, often cleaner and safer than rival places. The ones we stayed at looked like secure storage sites lined with solid garage doors, the only access to the quarters. Pay at the gate, drive into our little garage, lock the door behind us, climb the stairs to the fun zone. Walk into the room and the TV already offers a few titillating channels.

Move that situation to Vegas, 'WAY off the Strip. Invent a secure, discreet little fuck-em facility. The rooms are decorated erotically, exotically. The bedroom is mirrored and features canned or live sex-shows on TV. Maybe the club that aroused them is downstairs so they're never far from bed. They walk into the room; TV is showing lively group sex or whatever. Take it from there.

Idea: the live sex shows on the in-room screens are feeds from various legal brothels around the state. The couple recognizes some of the faces -- maybe they're neighbors, cow-orkers, relatives, politicians, etc.

You could have it that, just by coincidence, the porn actors look just like the couple.

I've never personally incorporated it into one of my stories. My main suggestion would be to not allow the porn to distract from the story. I'm not sure if you are writing this in first or third person, but if it is first person you can describe what they are watching and how it makes them feel.

As far as working it into the story, maybe the couple decides that they are going to try to mimick the porn and copy each position and dialogue as it goes. If you want the story to use the porn as just fuel for their sexual flame, maybe you just describe how the woman's moans coupled with the moans of the girl on TV.

It is hard to give too much advice without knowing more about the story and your characters, but you can find ways to work it in. I'd just warn you not to become to focused on the porn because most people read the story to become engrossed with the story about the characters. We have wide access to porn online, but erotica allows us to submerse ourselves in a story about the characters. Not that it is wrong to try to incorporate porn into it, but I would be careful to try and keep it natural.

You don't have to be that pedantic, some people just enjoy pointing that stuff out.

Maybe I should just watch some porn...you know...for research.

...and if you want the porn in the story to almost function like a third character in the room, you could have the couple interacting with it like the earlier suggestion you received.

So why not have your characters do the same thing? Laughing at all the silliness of the porn staging, the high heels in bed, the acres of tattoos, the gallons of cum.... but also getting harder and wetter at the same time. I think it sounds like a refreshing new viewpoint!

Is your story in third person or first? You could work it in the narration like: The woman on screen was sucking cock just as Betsy (insert character name) began to as well.
