Our Thotful Spot

Please breeze through or pull up a chair or a pew or a deckchair and just relax.

This is exactly what I need! My favorite Pooh quote, which fits perfectly at the moment......

“The hardest part is what to leave behind, ... It's time to let go!”

Oh, Winnie the pooh and then Alice in Wonderland as well? I could just live here. Why not throw in some Peter pan as well?
“Never say goodbye because goodbye means going away and going away means forgetting.”

Science seems to be validating my belief that I can 'choose' to be happy. And that staying away from negativity and negative people enhance my quality of life. And that its never too late to forge new patterns. And that, perhaps, wanting to feel as 'safe as an adored baby' is normal and achievable.

A visit from Mark Twain

"Sane and intelligent human beings are like all other human beings, and carefully and cautiously and diligently conceal their private real opinions from the world and give out fictitious ones in their stead for general consumption. "

Good morning (to me) and good night (to k_s). :cattail:

Personally, I find Benjamin Disraeli's thought on this more closely describes my own take.

“Frank and explicit - that is the right line to take when you wish to conceal your own mind and confuse the minds of others.”

That's it... I'm going fishing in my favorite tie that I've had for over 15 years.

Todays contribution from me :)

“If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together.. there is something you must always remember. you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. but the most important thing is, even if we're apart.. i'll always be with you.”

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend :D

Thank you. Mine started off pretty well at the casino this evening.

For your weekend, I'll hope that you get to have sex with someone you want to have sex with. Those three-year stats make me worry - a lot! - about the sensibility of Kiwi men! ;)

The most often line used by me:

"I've got rumblies in my tumbly."

Also, I call hiccups hicketyups, which I recall being a pooh thing.

I can look up, and I can look down and even towards the horizon. But how do I look intelligently?

Hmmm this is true. Well wear glasses as part of your uniform. I get lots of comments about how intelligent I look while wearing glasses.

Awwww that is so cute, I will have to start calling them hicketyups :)

I do wear glasses! The first time that they make actually be useful for something... well aside from that whole pesky vision thing

So I have an official uniform now, glasses and a tie :) What could possibly go wrong wearing that?

Sometimes not being able to see clearly is a good thing.

Nothing will go wrong with that uniform although we could do a collection and maybe find you a nice suit, fluro safety vest and a hard hat if you are reaally worried about safety in 100 acre wood.

How about we compromise, and I wear a red vest and a fishing hat? The 100 acre woods are not that dangerous from what I recall.

The tie is no problem, but the pants are a deal-breaker!

I'll wear pants the day Pooh does!

But Pooh doesn't have tender bits that get bitten by insects when fishing at the lake in the woods. But if you insist then who am I to argue Mr Presidant of 100 acre wood.

What President would dare to put his bits ahead of the solemn duties of the office?
