Prison Violence

I've never been in prison or convicted of anything tho the military was sorely tempted to charge me with mutiny. I can be uncooperative at times. But I digress. I'm trying to reason my way through what prison oughta be like for a convict preordained to be murdered in prison. I've found nothing on-line or in print that covers the subject. So I'm reasoning it.

Here's a story with some prison violence references ... it is at the start of part 3 of his story

You could watch old episodes of Lock Up, they usually describe violence and why it is believe it took place ... they had one story described by some guards that if inmates have a planned attack, they try to get the guy they are going to stab moving around (working out, basketball) so when they stab him he bleeds out faster .... another episode said the mexican gang members took ice cold showers to get their bodies use to the feeling of being stabbed ... lots of info on that show

My old man did some time in Raiford but never would talk about it other than to say he'd rather die than go back.

My brother spent some time in prison, he said the guys buy margarine from the guards.

I'm after real life details I can add to stories. I want the ex-con to think THATS HOW IT WAS.

My working thesis is: prison is like military basic training with sanctioned sodomy.

I just found heaps of free books on ScribD. I pay only10$/months, so much cheaper than amazon.

(sorry you might already know abt. ScribD too --- but I find the subject to be extr. interesting and complex, so your thread lead to some research of my own.)

New to me. Thanks for the info.

Knew a guy once who spent time in a state prison in Montana, he said that there were always darker flecks in the butter because prisoners working in the kitchen shat in the butter.

Based on prison interviews I've seen on Lock Up, I don't think that's true. The entire respect thing goes a long way in prison, shitting in their food is a good way to get yourself killed, I can't see prisoners tolerating that once word got out.

I agree. Cooks fuck with individuals NOT everyone.

Someone made a porn movie of it. An old bitch goes to a diner and sends back her burger for fresh mayo. The cook fixed her up.

I collected 40 pages of detailed prison info yesterday. The source is a former US Marine and British commando who did some hard time in a US prison. He lays it all out from his time in county jail thru his release from state prison years later.

I think I've done the math to construct artificial prison experience. ARTIFICIAL means LIKE. There's method to the madness. The method varies from one level to another, but so do schools and neighborhoods and McDonalds and in laws.
