When we got married 10 years ago my husband cock (a beautiful 10.5 x 3 uncut masterpiece) had great recovery time, sometimes if we were really worked up he'd go from load to load stiff as a brick. It pretty well known I married him mostly for love, but a good percentage was swinging between his legs. He's still ready and willing to do whatever, but so many times now his cock is dead and useless after the first load. Sure he typically recovers after awhile. Granted he's 42 now and cock has some major miles and wear and tear on it.

Any advice on pills, pumps, exercises

First question - is he unhappy with the situation?

If the answer is yes, then his first step should be a full physical, and have his testosterone levels checked. It's amazing to me how many commercials I hear on the radio about low[er] testosterone in late 30s/early 40s being "normal" now.

Between endocrine disuptors in everyday life (hand sanitizer, plastics, phyto-estrogens, etc), most men absorb significantly more estrogen (disrupting testosterone) than they realize. How's his diet? Weight? How much is he in the gym? (Exercise increases muscle mass, increases testosterone.) My partner is 50, and can still outrun a lot of 30 year olds in bed... but maintaining a healthy, active sex life is a high priority for him. Which means he keeps and eye on his T-levels, avoids phyto-estrogens and endocrine disruptors like the plague, and is in the gym "lifting heavy" 3-4 times a week.

If he's not unhappy with more of a "one and done" sex life, then an honest conversation about A) other ways to enjoy one another (there is so much more to sex than sticking a cock in a cunt...) and/or B) alternatives (open marriage, swinging, polyamory, etc).

excellent advice and insights. I've heard the radio ads too and wondered about the testosterone. any side effects, other than better erections and sex?

I don't have much advice past what CutieMouse offered. For sure check out the medical aspect first. My husband has full on ED. :( But he's 63. Once he lost weight and got off diabetes meds, it came back a little. Needless to say, he got real creative and that's been fun.

I just wanted to say I love how you write. I got a little chuckle out of your description.

Good luck.

I agree with CutieMouse about checkups and blood tests.

Tests should include: Total Testosterone, Free Testosterone, Estradiol, PSA and TSH at the very least.

He should not have the DRE or ejaculate for at least 48 hours before a PSA test. Ejaculation, plane or bike rides, sitting for a long time can artificially raise PSA levels.

Most lab standards have Total T between 250 - 1100. Many men begin to show Low T symptoms at 500 and below. However, many doctors will say they are in the normal range.

Don't accept the word normal. Always get a hard copy of the labs.

All that being said, as men age even with good amounts of hormones, the amount of ejaculate lessens and the ability to recover quickly slows down.

Here are symptoms of low T in men.

  1. Blunted motivation
  2. Bone loss
  3. Decreased libido
  4. Decreased orgasmic response
  5. Decreased Sperm count
  6. Depression
  7. Diminished feeling of well being
  8. Diminished sexual pleasure
  9. General aches/pains
  10. Hot flashes, sweats
  11. Incontinence
  12. Increased body fat
  13. Increased Breast size
  14. Insomnia
  15. Irritablilty
  16. Loss of muscle mass
  17. Loss or thinning of body hair
  18. Low energy
  19. Memory problems
  20. Mental fuzziness
  21. Prolonged Fatigue
  22. Sexual dysfunction (weak erections, fewer erections, lack of morning erections)

Hypothyroidism and Hyperthyroidism can also cause sexual issues.

If he has low T, there are many things he can do. Pellets inserted under the skin of his butt are the best. T injections are 2nd best. Creams and Gels don't work very well.

I am not a member of the medical industry. I do have several online hormone support groups and all I know comes from members, doctors, pharmacists, etc. Anything I say is not intended or implied to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Cookiecat.... my husband had prostate cancer and is impotent. However, he gets great erections! He injects Trimix into his penis prior to sex and gets very hard for up to 2 hours.

TriMix injections are a mixture of 3 drugs that provide an effective, low cost treatment for men struggling with erectile dysfunction. It is an alternative treatment for men who cannot take, have not had good results with, or experience severe side effects from PDE5 Inhibitor tablets (Viagra®, Levitra®, Cialis®). TriMix injections are a medication that is very customized to the patients needs.

Look for a compounding Pharmacy.
Trimix, Quadmix and super quadmix.

Also, get a rubber gasket ring from the hardware store. Berries go in first then the twig. Tuck the ring up tight. Then inject. The rubber ring helps keep the blood in and the meds in.

Taking the ring off balls first after a tease and denial session is going to hurt a little but when your still horny it is fun.

In an emergency the ring can easily be cut.

Cock rings are not tight enough to help without being scary. Go under the balls.

The rings are cheap so you can buy all the sizes for a few bucks. I am a really big guy and use a 2" ring. An 1/8' size difference does matter. Just try them all.

Remember, a doctor's prescription is required.

Also, per law, the first injection must be done in a doctor's office to make sure blood pressure doesn't drop too much or there is a negative reaction.

Yes about the Dr Rx
However since these drugs are "off label" you probably need to show the Dr what you want. I found it and then the Dr said this is great, I did know it was out there.

I have nothing useful to add to the conversation. I only wanted to comment how I like the way she talks about his phallus like he (the phallus) is somehow a separate entity from her husband with it's own personality. Hot and brilliant.

Good thread with sensitive advice. I'm having a physical next Friday and want to get checked out as well.

Most good doctors / urologists that deal with men, should know. Shame on them if they don't.

Here is a great video that deals with ED. It's mostly aimed at patients after prostate cancer but should be watched by all men. It's extremely informative.

Good stuff, thanks. I'm a year out following prostate removal surgery and using a pump when an erection is wanted.

For the OP question, a pump could help Hubby get "up" again but it will do nothing to help him ejaculate a second time. He might be able to dry-orgasm after the first go around. If going longer is the desired outcome and not a second orgasm then there are some things he can learn to help retain his cum and hold off the release. There are also helpful in dealing with premature ejaculation issues.

I can also add that apart working out in a gym, which is good not only for sexual performance but overall health, men can do Pelvic muscle training, known as PC-training.
It's very simple and can be done anywhere while sitting still - even in the office or while you are sitting in a car stuck in traffic jam.
And it also enhances erection as well as other sex-related things.

Well Im really thinking hubby isn't reacting to me all that well as of late. We play around and have playmates. He seems to have absolutely zero issues in any department with new or extra stimulation. Or when we have gone without for awhile. I'm a little hypochondriac when things go off schedule a bit. I appreciate everyone's help and input but hubbys cock and balls seem to be working just fine:devil:. The rest of him has some battle damage and he skips track now and than but that's not new
