Etch A Sketch
Mr Squiggle - long time kid's favourite on Australian TV. A puppet who drew with his long pencil nose. Kids would send in 'squiggles' and he would draw pictures from the few lines given to him, but upside down.
Truly wonderful show.
Winky Dink and you
Winky Dink and me
Always have a lot of fun together
....seems we had totally different childhoods.
You didn't have a Winky Dink screen, Michael?
Kanga and Roo
Kango Hammer
More so-called deprivation for this ex-Aussie kid (whispers..wtf is KH? American? not a cultural export to Oz I'm afraid. Ditto the Winky Dink screen...[blank stare])
We did get a lot of Hammer films though, from the Brits.
Sherlock Holmes
No shit, Sherlock.
Fewmets
Fewmets = useful shit...
...
Taking it further..let's say "Horse manure is fewmet for the roses".
That which we call a rose, by any other name would smell as sweet.
