Submitting short stories

I'm sure there's a thread already about this, but couldn't find one. Does anyone know how long it typically takes to have one reviewed for approval? Just curious.

Anywhere from two day to possibly a week. There is only one person who reviews every story that is posted here. She is also the pretty half of the owner couple.

I assume you are a new author here, so it might take a couple of more days to get your story approved. Also if there is a contest going on, those entries will be processed before all others.

Be patient. If it is pending for longer than a week, PM Laurel and politely ask why.

Thanks zeb. I actually saw it was rejected, but gave me a detailed explanation as to why. I submitted it last night, so the turn around was very quick. I think I will take advantage of submitting to an editor for review, instead of causing myself more heartache. Yes, I am new to this, so I have a lot of learning to do. But I definitely will not give up. Thanks again for the reply.
