Oh, I was anticipating having to suggest Renaissance, but I am rather pleasantly surprised to see them first on the list.
 
i prefer krautrock. i've been loving the hell out of can lately. makes me sad that i only got into them recently.

Whenever Prog Rock is mentioned I always think of Wishbone Ash but I don't think they really count.
 
Rush should be on the list.

I grew up on Tull, specifically Aqualung. I brok many a drumstick practicing to that. I saw the King Crimson Thrak double trio tour, and it was pretty amazing.
