Just learned this today:
TIL "The Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman was only able to get his comic green-lit because he told Image Comics that there would be a plot twist revealing that the zombie apocalypse was caused by aliens who were using the zombies to weaken humanity's defenses. It was a lie.
