Hello all! I read quite a bit but I've hit a bit of a lull and need some recommendations. I like to read series of books, same author, same characters, etc. I just finished the Sleeping Beauty series by Anne Rice but I've also completed many other series of the same erotically charged type (Fifty Shades cough, cough).

So fun folks what long form erotic book series should I take on next?

Bear is a novel by Canadian author Marian Engel, published in 1976. It won the Governor General's Literary Award the same year. It is Engel's fifth novel, and her most famous. The story tells of a lonely librarian in northern Ontario who enters into a sexual relationship with a bear. The book has been called "the most controversial novel ever written in Canada".

I have seen other stories....Canadian authors, too.

I enjoyed Sylvia Day's Crossfire series. A lot of similarities to Fifty Shades but MUCH better written.

Not many countries would give high literary prizes for bestiality porn. No matter how well written. Filthy bunch of perverts! :)

Candy is another from my dad's porn collection. That's where I found Bear.

I've also read this series and found it quite good for the category it competes in. Good recommendation unfortunately I've already read them. ☹️

Anais Nin is a good erotic writer. She wrote two erotic books called "Delta of Venus" and "Little Birds". These are short story collections. I would also recommend "Lolita" by Vladimir Nabokov.

"Principles of Soil Conservation and Management" by Humberto Blanco and Rattan Lal.

If you like comics or graphic novels, this is a classic that no true lover of the erotic should be without:

Birdland is fucking awesome. Cocks. Tits. Pussy. Ass. Jizz. Straight. Gay. Lesbian. Fet. Aliens. There's something for everybody in that joint. I pray to this erotic temple once a month. :D

I read that. Very strange book.

Henry and June

I love Henry and June: From "A Journal of Love" -The Unexpurgated Diary of Anais Nin (1931-1932). Her writing is so beautiful, vulnerable, and seductive, and the relationships she describes transformative, and revealing.

It's pretty unlike both the Rice and Grey series, though; so may not be the sort of thing you're looking for here.

I love "birdland" that's awesome.

Belle de Jour and the original "secret diary of a call girl" was fun. there were other real-life followups and a few fictional spin offs.

De Sade is hard core but should be tried if you need a 'dirty book' (It really isn't for the fainthearted though)

You know, there are hundreds of thousands of dirty stories on this site. Most are short stories, but some are novel length. You ought to be able to find something to satisfy your desires.

I'll second Anaïs Nin. Her erotica is beautifully written, like the best pure poetry.
