Strangers In A Strange Land

I thought that is what it was, and about that time it would have been electrical.
i.e. the Enigma was mechanical and Turing automated the process and so on...
until now, where everything is known but not understood.

I might have gone ahead with it if my sight hadn't disqualified me for the job I actually wanted, Air Traffic Controller. I can put up with some BS if it's furthering my own wishes. Since I had no real interest in the other however, I took my out.

Still pissed about the recruiter making me eat 10 bananas in the 25 minute drive on the way to the physical. I can't eat a bananas, the smell makes me queasy to this day, and I still had to get a waiver for my weight. Ha, they even gave me a waiver for smoking weed. Wished I'd smoked some before eating all those bananas!

oh to run my finger down her cheek
to trace her face
burn her essence into tactile memory
whisper secrets
let down my guard
like a boxer about to be sucker punched
let her in to see the real me
not the swollen knuckles
and running mass of scars

but the me that writes poetry
that smells the flowers
exclaims at the power of their scent
the way the trees sway in a breeze
to hold her to my chest
slow dance in the setting sun

windows down, driving
hand in the air
waiting for the moment
when atmosphere shifts
and the temperature drops enough so you can feel it
I want to carry her over the threshold
place her gently down and caress her earthiness
tease her for hours
stare into the liquid pools of blue that drown
me in their depth as I breathe the scent of heather

and even as she walks away I dare not say
any of this

So I grab a beer and drown my thoughts
breathing a sigh
resigned to lie and pretend she's just a friend

Is this more accurately your opposite take on this feminine animus poem? Unless you're channelling a odd side of Dr. King's ghost. It's October and All Hallows' is drawing nigh.

I like it quite a bit of much, though. It's a very male sort of thing. Bravo!

Well that makes three Todski. You need to title and submit it.
I liked it both singularly and as a reply to Champs piece. The strong, un-shy woman and the strong shy man. Nice pairing.

To The Woman I've Seen Intimately Yet Never Met

To The Man Outside My Window[/QUOTE]

I have a problem with this;
the way I hide in plain sight
so you know I see you
our eyes have met so many times I'm sure of it
that it spurs you on to a show that
makes me do these improper things
I know it's wrong
yet it goes on

You built a garden high after the first time
so I could better hide amidst the bush
to take my time for a more luxurious look
this agony of silent pleas
where I try to penetrate you with my brain
where my breath strains to mist the glass
where every slow slip
every wet dip
and twirl you twist me up

The Mercedes in the garage the high power career woman
who plays as Aphrodite must with us mortal men

my thoughts slink into puddles
as you thrust your breasts proud
move to unclip and let them spill free
I inhale sharp
see your smirk as you leave them hidden teasing
the apples of eve in gods garden

I can smell your musk
it fills the room and blooms like the flowers
I stand in
my boot prints must be permanent dents
tense as a hardwood statue
I view the picturesque sights
of black panties parted
nails cut so perfect
as if they were built for the sole purpose
of gliding in and out of wet folds

we climax together again
my seed in the dust
I slink away a dog in the night
head down drying cum on the front of my trousers
your shudders still burnt into my retinas

tomorrow, I'll serve you your breakfast
two slices of rye toast
no butter
an apple
low fat yogurt
and you will stare into my soul as I squirm
walk off with that smirk and a see you tonight
swagger in your hips.
