I'm a native Nevadan. I grew up in Las Vegas and at29 I moved 45min.away in Pahrump&have been here over 20yrs. In other states there have been famous politicians;Jesse Ventura,Arnold Swartzwhatever&Ronald Reagan. But were any of them mob lawyers or pimps?During the mobs heyday in Vegas,Tony Spilatro murdered countless people,but he never paid for any of his crimes. Why? Famous mob attorney Oscar Goodman.See the movie Casino? Goodman did a cameo in the movie as himself.years later,he became our Mayor! He'd still b mayor if not for term limits,but his wife Carolyn took over in 2011& still mayor. That's clark county. In the Kingdom of Nye(nye co.) Where I live in Pahrump,prostitution is legal.we have 2brothels here;Sheris& the chicken ranch.about20min away is crystal,where Lamar Odom OD'd at the love ranch.Did I mention Heidi Fliess the hollywood madam lives in pahrump? Prostitution is also legal in lyon co.which is where most of Dennis Hof's brothels r.Ever see Cathouse on HBO?that was the reality series featuring the ladies of the moonlight bunnie ranch,& its owner-Hof. So Mr.Hof decides to run for state assemblyman. About the same time in Lyon co.and nye co.a petition is started to have a vote to close the brothels put on the ballot. It failed to get enough signatures in nye co.,but it WILL b on the ballot in lyon co.where 4 of Hofs brothels r located. And on top of that;Hof won the primary and is the fave to win in the general election.Heidi Fliess was with Hof when he won(they used to date).honestly it borders on the absurd.How funny would it b if Hof became assemblyman,but voters voted to close his brothels? Only in Nevada

Not sure what discussion you are expecting from this. Presume you realize this is a porn site, so the existence of brothels isn't going to cause the vapors that it would on some other discussion board.

It's a political board.the fact voters could possibly vote to ban all brothels AND elect the owner of said brothels as Nv.state assemblyman is what the thread is about.POLITICS. Nv.is the only state brothels r legal-for now. Read the post so u don't look ignorant

i don't get your point. i thought all politicos were pimps and mobsters, anyway, on some level. NV is just a lot more upfront about it.
