Snowbirds....Like birds migrating to the south, residents of the northern cold states and Canada live in Arizona during the winter. They start coming down about October and stay through March/April. We get up to 500,000 snowbirds every year. They are mostly retired and make a huge financial impact on the area. Still drives me crazy!

Barrett Jackson is a HUGE car show here every February. Cars are sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The Waste Management Open is a huge professional golf tournament here. They get over 200,000 people attending every day. It used to be called The Phoenix Open.

Arabian show is a horse show that occurs at the same place the Barrett Jackson car show is.

Spring Training is professional baseball spring training. Giants, Dodgers, Padres, Cubs, Mariners, Brewers, Diamondbacks, CO Rockies, etc are professional baseball teams that have their spring training here.

With your generous nature, I am surprised that you don't invite a few snowbirds to live with you over the duration of winter:.......... I bet such a thought would see you fix extra locks on the door! :D:D Such an Idea would seem like the second worst thing you could do. Don't ask me what the worst thing is.

Actually between snowbirds and spring training, you take your life in your own hands driving!

Well, I couldn't find ready made drapes so I purchased fabric and will make my own. I have sewn since I was 12 years old.

Forgot about the Phoenix open. Didn't know the Barrett-Jackson auction was there, thought that was in Vegas. Sno-birds and cactus league, yuck crazy times..

My sewing expertise runs to upholstery and horse blanket repairs ;)

It's flipping cold outside again! 44º!! So I'm back in my red fuzzy long robe!!! I have to keep telling myself to be patient....it's only February.

What plans do you all have for the weekend? We don't have much except dinner with friends tomorrow night.

I give Missy her 5th saline injection today. Then it's back to the vet next week to see if it's helping her kidney function. You have no idea how much I hate doing this.

MrSB sees the spine specialist today. I hope the MRI shows something that can be fixed.

Best wishes for MrSB and his doctor visit. Maybe all he needs is a visit to the chiropractor? I've never used one, but my wife gets great relief from their treatments.

Had fun with friends last night, Vanilla fun with lifestyle friends.

Still watching April, the giraffe who is live on cam to give birth. It's fun to watch Oliver (the father) when he goes in her pen bothering her like a bratty kid brother would. They only let him in for a few minutes while they clean his pen.

We are nearing the end of the red. Then on to something else!

Today is going to be a nothing day. Well, except for laundry and doing stuff around here.

I'm making sea scallops for dinner. Baked with onions/peppers/ kalmata olives and feta cheese. Served over pasta. It's so yummy. I've never made this for MrSB cause of the price but our store had them on sale. Hopefully he likes it!
