Afternoon everyone, just to let you all know that I shall be flying to the states this weekend for the funeral of a long-time litster that some of you may know, yesterday morning 69forever was rushed into emergency surgery but suffered a heart attack in the OR and never regained consciousness, now I never knew him that well but I have known his new-found love very well for almost as long as i've been coming to Lit, so I am heading over to give her my shoulder to lean on, she has been there for me over the past year when things became quite dark in my world and she helped me through it, now I owe her my shoulder at the very least.

Can I ask all of you to say a prayer to whichever being you follow for her to stay strong at this difficult time.

I just wish my first visit to the states was under more happy times but alas it is not to be so.

It is very sad, they only met a few months ago, and were almost immeadiately inseperable, my flights are now booked and I just got off the phone with her, she is understandably borderline hysterical and I just wish I could get there sooner than sunday.

Thank you Annie, its not going to be an easy experience but it is one that I am willing to undergo for a very special lady who has done more for me than she probably realizes.

I leave at 7.55am Sunday morning, which means leaving home at around 3.30/4.00 am to get to the airport, am contemplating not going to bed Saturday at all, fortunately I dont have to drive myself to Heathrow, my partner (who's idea it was for me to go in the first place btw) is taking me.
I know that if the positions were reversed, she would do the same for me.
