Easy way: make a new thread. Click back to the sub forum you posted the thread under. Click the thread again ASAP while it's still Zero posts and One view. Jump back to sub forum. Post count does not go up unless someone else viewed the thread in between. Log out of forum, clear browser. Click the thread, count goes up by one. Log back in, click the thread. Check post count again.

I figured parts of that---^ out by being aware of the environment I am in. Some forums do not log views that way, others log all thread views as individual.

Hence: circumstancial and configurable.

For someone who quotes the vBulletin manual itself, you should know that the views are not instantly updated here. So it could be your own view added to it, along with new individual others. And that I HAVE tried.

Seriously, you shouldn't use a baseless experiment to prove yourself.

Views on the board are instant if you reload the page and don't use back. I swear it.

The only reason I looked at your thread, as Pilot put it, was out of pure WTF curiousity. I can't be the only one.

I read one post, skimmed the first page to see you were the only poster, then GTFO like the building was on fire.

Yep, the views (no one can prove why anyone clicks on it beyond the original poster clicking away) just were a means to avoid admitting that it's an irrelevant (to Literotica) running monologue. If folks are opening the thread up, they aren't interested enough in the self-possessed comment there to enter the "discussion."

And the original point was throwing a rock for relevance at a thread that is relevant to erotica writing and has had several discussants by a personal blogger who talks to himself on his dedicated political rant thread.

Seeing as how I post a story a week and have over eight times the number of nongay stories here (140) than you have (17) and that I don't run a personal political rant blog here and you do, I'd say that your advice is more for yourself than for me. :D

My 17 stories are almost half of a million words. If I wasn't so busy writing 20 page court appeals and motions, I would be writing more stories. It's also hard to write about sex when you have a pedophile neighbor. I have valid reasons for not writing more often.

In point of fact, you've been complaining about my writing style since day one, calling them cutesy and giggle.

Whoa. I just saw this because of LC's obsessive post. I've never commented on your writing style at all. I've never read one of your stories. You're lying. Cite where I've ever done that.

In contrast to LC--and to you in this post--slamming my writing, I rarely ever slam anyone else's writing on this forum. Most recently in a thread that was attacking BOSTONFICTIONWRITER (with LC taking a lead in that), I commented that the writing of his I've seen was good. And I've said that JBJ's writing is good too--just not erotica.

Cite where I've ever commented on your writing in any way--or where I've slammed anyone else's writing. You seem to be as sick as LC is. You certainly are making it up as you go along, just as he does.

Incidentally, not that it matters as more than yet another index to your (lack of) veracity when you seem to be bringing this up as a comparison to the wordage on my 710 stories here, but I think you need to do a recount. The stories are there for anyone to add up wordage on--and it don't come up to more than half the claim.

At the same time, since you seem to be making a point of it, you might add up the wordage on my posted stories too. :D
