I'm curious about bdsm, but have no idea if I'm submissive. In fact I almost certainly aint cos I'm a mouthy bitch lol, that and I'm too used to controlling sex to optimise the blokes experience.

Being a "mouthy bitch" might actually make you a better sub candidate. Sometimes the more mouthy they are in real life, the more control they seek behind closed doors.

If anything, read the stories from this site, find a few BDSM where a woman is made to follow a man's orders (or a woman following a woman's orders if that floats your boat).

The control can be only that, taking orders on what to do. There needs to be some form of discipline when orders are not followed. Other options are bondage and restraints, wearing certain clothing or toys, spanking, choking all the way to causing pain (mild or severe) and bleeding.

Do some reading and find if you like it or not.

The fact that you're a "mouthy bitch" doesn't mean you can be a sub. Many times the more controlling a woman is out of the bedroom, the more she gets turned on being dominated and controlled in the bedroom. The idea of relinquishing all control to someone else, being tied and bound and taken can be very arousing.
